Steeltalon lunged forward and sank her teeth into the back of the male's neck, not deep enough to kill but just enough to temporarily paralyze him, and started dragging him out of the territory, in the direction of the game trail. She was fed up with these intrusions. Even if someone who was her best friend came into her territory now, she'd drag them out as well. She was ticked off.

Darkness lifted his head to see that Sandstorm, Shadow Leaf, and Steeltalon finally decided to get the intruders out. Darkness shrugged and layed his head back down. I used to kill raptors on a daily basis... he growled jokingly, knowing his assistance wasn't needed.

Straight after steeltalons attack, Shadow leaf bit onto the females back and sandstorm triped him. They both draged him off behind Steeltalon glad to be getting rid of these pests.

Steeltalon reached the edge of her territory and set the male down on the game trail. "You'll have to look elsewhere if you want a home," she growled, her eyes flashing. "I suggest starting somewhere a good distance from my lands." She turned and stalked back into the forest, giving Sandstorm and Shadowleaf a short nod.

Killereye was glad that he was the leader of the pack now. He looked into the hungry eyes of the pack members and couldn't help but have a need to help them all. They needed food now. He stood on a rock and barked out to everyone. "We will be going on a hunt now. I suggest that we take as many pack members as possible. We're going to be hunting big, tonight." Of course, he knew that the raptors with hatchlings would have to stay behind. "There is to be at least one parent at every nest, to protect the young. All the raptors that are able to come, come. Good, let's go." With that, the pack exited out of the cave and into the forest. RawHide and SharpClaw followed, for they did not have any young...

Shadow leaf and Sandstorm threw the raptor down and then walked back along their trail with out a word. Steeltalon, was really.....reallly angery. They could feel it as she passed.

Steeltalon slowly calmed down as she laid down, though she half-expected the dead plants to burst into flame from her anger. She closed her eyes and tried to control her temper, knowing that now was not the time to fly off the handle, not with hatchlings and an injured mate to care for.

Darkness yawned, still tired from his fight. Damn leg...Could've had a feast if it wasn't already injured... he growled, laying on his side. Darkness yawned again, not really thinking about anything. He squirmed aimlessly on the ground, trying to amuse himself. Can't go hunting...definately can't face that Carchar again...barely made it out of there alive... he growled to himself, laying still again. Darkness sighed and closed his eyes, again, not sleeping, but resting.

Steeltalon had fallen asleep after she cooled her temper, and Ruby watched her father curiously. She couldn't understand what had happened to him to make her mother so worried. He seemed fine. Ruby's siblings were still asleep, but now the young female was bored. She curled up quickly and tried to fall asleep.

Exile smiled at Crusher's words and nodded in thanks. "Thank you, Crusher, I am very greatful." She laid down next to Blade, trying to keep him comfortable.

The pack started on their journey through the forest and to the game trail. Killereye figured that there would be more prey there. He learned from watching Blade and Scar leading hunts in the past.

By the time they got there, night had fallen over everything. The prey was unaware of the danger of the raptors. They were either sleeping or watching over their young. Killereye studied their prey, which was paras for the night. He wanted to pick out an old or sick dinosaur, but also wanted to pick one with the most meat on it. His tounge went over his jaws at the thought of the kill. Finally, he spotted a good looking Parasaurlophous. It was young, but it will have to do. At least it had plenty of meat on it. He looked into the excited faces of the pack's eyes. "Now, he whispered. We're going to have some of the pack distract the herd." He glanced at SharpClaw and RawHide. "You lead that attack. I will take others to take down the para. Understood?" Some of them nodded, while others were unsure, but they would follow along. Killereye focused his attention on the target. "Wait until the right...moment....NOW!"

The raptors all came out, RawHide and SharpClaw's group went to rouse up the herd while Killereye and his group headed for the young para. The herd let out desperate calls for help and tried to run as fast as possible from the nipping raptors. RawHide and SharpClaw tried to drive them as far as possible, before finally meeting up with Killereye and his group to see them trying to bring down the defenseless herbivore. RawHide and SharpClaw leaped on to the creature and started to take bite it, as well as the other pack members. Killereye and another female went for the throat to deliver the killing blow, using their sharp six inch claw to tear it. The creature finally went down with a thud. The hunt was a sucess![/i]

Silver woke several hours later to a blood red light spilling into the small root cave. Dawn already. She yawned and stretched, the morning air cool and calming. Silver glanced at RawClaw, who was still asleep, and slipped out of the root cave, glancing around. She'd seen the clearing before, but now she looked at it as a possible home...for a family.

Steeltalon opened her eyes, her pupils narrowing as she was greeted with blinding sunlight. She groaned and lifted her head, looking at the rapidly growing hatchlings. Blackstripe was already rougher than her siblings, and considerably more muscular. Whitestreak was more laid back, preferring to watch things rather than get involved. Darktalon was almost as muscular as Blackstripe, though was less willing to fight. And Ruby was turning out to be a beautiful young female, her adventurous nature and playful attitude making her easy to get along with.

RawClaw rolled over and let out small growls as he was still sleeping. He sounded like he was chasing something. But then he just noticed that it was starting to feel cold. He blinked a few times before finally opening his eyes, and squinting as the light came. "Ahh...morning already...?" he yawned out and got up. He made his way out of the root cave to see Silver standing there. She looked beautiful in the morning. He started to creep up behind her, trying not to make a sound...

Silver laid down beside a thick root, her head resting lazily on top if a knot in the wood. She was watching a few Dryosaurs aproach the stream and drink, not really paying attention to anything else. Silver was intrigued by the herbivores...were they really all that different from carnivores? Then she remembered that she'd probably eaten a dryo or two for breakfast in the morning and decided that they were entirely different.

Fatalis and his family left the nest, and Crusher lay down again, keeping an eye on Blade. he remembered coming down with something similar. he could feed off nothing but the occasional compy that dared venture close to his body. but he did know it wouldn't be lethal...if it was the same one he had come across...

Switchblade woke when a beam of sunlight fell across her face. She blinked, yawning and stood slowly up. She streatched and shook the tiredness from her body. Almost instantly, she was hungry, and her gaze landed on the compy from the day before. She trotted over to it and dug in hungrily.

RawClaw was getting closer to Silver...closer. He waited until he was in the right position, then barked and pounced on her playfully. "Good morning, Silver," he exclaimed happily while rolling off of her and chuckling like mad. He was in a very happy mood today.

Meanwhile, Blade was still down with his sickness. Exile would go hunting for him and would return with a small compy in her mouth for him to feed on. She watched him over like a hawk...

Switchblade soon finished the rest of the compy and decided to dispose of the remains. She glanced at Redtooth, now awake then turned back to the compy. She carefully slid the neck bones into her mouth and dragged them into a nearby patch of ferns. The Lili quickly ran back to the safety of the nest site and looked at Steeltalon's four hatchlings. Her curiosity suddenly got the better of her and she slowly, cautiously moved closer until she was about 6 feet from the nest. She watched the young raptors inquisitively for a minute, then not wanting to intrude too much, backed away and bounded playfully toward Redtooth.
