Spectre lept at the nearby wall, rebounding off of it as he collided with the Terminator, swords forward, stabbing both blades into its head before pushing to either side, tearing its head apart. Placing his feet against its chest, Spectre kicked off the machine, causing it to fall into the doorway to the tower...

"Come on, let's get inside before more show up," said Grievous, walking inside. "We'll take the first lift we see straight to the top."

Spectre sheathed his blades in one swift move, heading after Grievous, eying the interior of the structure as they entered...

Passing through several unguarded hallways, Grievous finally found a lift, but the door was sealed shut, and Grievous' antennae wouldn't get it unlocked. "Looks like the Daleks have locked down the entire tower. We may need to take the stairs." "So that's what they're called..." Dare immediately sent this information, along with the fact that they were organic, not robotic, to Wolf's Bane, whole Romeo muttered something along the lines of, "Sounds like something out of Doctor Who..." Mickey said, "At least we're not the only sentient beings that have stairs." Grievous marched off in a different direction, head for the center of the tower, unaware of the small Aerostat watching the group from a distant hallway...

Soon, the group made it to another doorway, and Grievous said, "Right through here is the central staircase." "Allow me." Romeo nodded over his shoulder, at the large, block-shaped object on his back. "This M165 Demo Charge should blow through that door no problem." "Save it. I have abetter idea, and we may need that later. Destroying the ship, for example," hissed Lissarkh, activating her Lightsaber with a smirk, before beginning to slice through the door. As if on cue, a swarm of Aerostats zoomed down the hallway, and Buck shouted, "We got Wasps! SMGs out!" the ODSTs and Grievous ducked into nooks that made up other doorways along the hallway, while the Aerostats peppered them with light plasma fire. Buck pulled out his shotgun (the most effective UNSC weapon against the Aerostats), Rookie used his Assault Rifle, and the rest of the troopers used their silenced SMGs, except for Dare, who only had a M6 Magnum, being more of a non-combatant than anything...

Spectre pulled one of his handguns from a holster seemingly attached to his shoulder, firing two bursts of the relatively strong bullets, hitting one of the Aerostats almost dead center, the armored figure dodge-rolling behind cover a moment later...

The light-armored Aerostats were blown away with ease, though the SMGs and Assault Rifle bullets bounced the floating machines around before managing to destroy them. Eventually, however, Lissarkh managed to cut a good sized hole in the doorway, and she jumped through, sending a Force Push back through the door and blowing the remaining Aerostats down the hall. "Go go go!" shouted Buck as he charged through the doorway, followed by his squad and Grievous. "Fancy moves you got there, ma'am," the Gunnery Sergeant said, nodding to Lissarkh blade. The Trandoshan grinned. "What can I say?" A few of the Aerostats managed to recover from the Force Push, but instead of attacking, they retreated in a different direction. Romeo shouted at the retreating machines, "Yeah, you better run! We are green and very, very mean motherf--" he was cut off by Grievous massive hand nearly covering his entire faceplate and making him stumble backwards. "Don't lure them back! We have to keep moving now, or they might send bigger things after us."

"For a tactical squad, you people sure like tempting fate..." Spectre droned, shaking his armored head at the various beings in front of him, but otherwise kept quiet...

A dropship flew down from the Harbringer above, hovering over the landing pad momentarily, 3 black ARIS drones dropping out of it, dematerialising even before they hit the ground.... The droship stayed where it was, its guns swivelling about, searching the area for targets.

Dare shrugged. "You try keeping these guys in line. Not that easy." The ODST squad, Grievous, and Lissarkh walked up the tall spiral staircase, covered with ornate decorations, most of the ODSTs keeping their weapons trained behind them in case of a rear attack, while Dare walked alongside Grievous. "So, tell me something: what are you, exactly?" "I am a Trandoshan, as is Lissarkh, and this is our home planet, as you may have guessed. As for Spectre, well, you may have to ask him that yourself." "So, what's the story here? Why weren't you around when the Daleks attacked?" "We were driven off by another threat. It's a long story. And what about you? What brings you here, after the Daleks?" "They've been raiding UNSC colony worlds on the galaxy's rim, and we've been sent to gain as much information as possible about them, as well as destroy any targets of oppurtunity..." She looked over her shoulder at Spectre. "You have a story to tell?"

"I've abandoned all instances of my 'past'. The only thing important outside of the present are the previous lives I've taken." Spectre droned, following after the others, staying alert and ready....

Romeo laughed and said, "You'd make a great ONI spook, you know that?!" "Cut the chatter, Corporal," barked Butch harshly. By that point, the group had made it to the top of the long staircase, at the topmost room, which was very elaborate, with a variety of furniture around it, and a massive viewport that dominated one of the walls of the round chamber. Trough the viewport, the bottom of the massive saucer-shaped command ship could be seen. Grievous pointed towards an entryway that had obviously been cut into the far wall, where a thick metal panel had been set up. "That must be the entrance to the ship. Cables protruded from the panel as well, connecting to the wall. "It must be how they locked down the entire building too." Before he could say any more, a shadow loomed over the chamber, and Dare shouted, "HK! Move it! Find cover, now! Dutch, get the Spartan Laser ready!" Everyone dove for cover as a plasma shell shattered the viewport, leaving a small crater in the floor. The Hunter-Killer floating outside began firing its machine guns, which flanked the main cannon, pockmarking the walls, floor, and furniture in the room. Dutch, hiding behind a knocked-over table, popped up when the HK turned its cannons away, raising a large, green weapon. The tip of it glowed red, glowing brighter and brighter until it finally released a thick, red beam of energy that slammed into the HK's engine pod, went through the top of its main body, and kept going off into the sky, dissipating when it was already out of sight. The Hunter-Killer wobble,d smoke billowing from its engine, before it spiraled away, towards the ground, disappearing from sight. At the sound a distant boom as the machine crashed, everyone stood up. "And you say we have nice equipment," growled Lissarkh, obviously impressed. Dutch shrugged. "It only has four more shots, unfortunately. And it takes hours to recharge." Suddenly, the door they had entered the room from exploded, and four T-600s marched out, followed by another, unarmed Terminator, though this one was much more muscular-looking. Pointing at the group, who had again scattered, the T-800 ordered the T-600s into a line in front of it, making a large wall of chain-gun fire. "Spectre!" Grievous shouted. "Take care of those droids! Keep them away from us while we find a way into the ship!"

Spectre nodded wordlessly, springing out from his cover, wall-running toward the Terminators before kicking off, soaring over to the furthest one to the right, swords drawn as he hacked the machine's head clean off. Placing his feet against its chest, Spectre kicked off it, going into a back flip, as the machine itself fell back against the others, causing a small domino effect, which hampered the machines' aim for the moment. Landing on his feet in a crouch, the armored figure sheathed one blade before pulling out a handgun, firing a burst of ammunition at the lead Terminator...

The T-800 flinched as the shots hit its chest, but it simply stepped forward and grabbed the handgun out of Spectre's grasp, crushing it like a tin can and throwing it away. The Terminator punched Spectre in the gut, sending him flying backwards, and the three remaining T-600s recovered, firing plasma shells instead of normal chain-gun rounds at the fallen soldier...

The ODSTs kept their guns trained on the fight, just in case the Terminators attacked, but they had their own problems at the moment, focusing their fire on the Aerostats that buzzed through the shattered viewport, followed by a couple Spiders that had used their magnetic claws to climb up the tower's wall and through the window. Grievous and Lissarkh were using their Lightsabers to speed up the slicing of the panel, but its particularly thick metal made the going slow...

Spectre used the momentum of the attack to land in a crouch, immediately darting across the room, leaping at the wall before rebounding off of it, falling straight down on the lead Terminator's head, sword plunging straight through its metallic skull, while the armored figure lept off, allowing the other Terminators to fill their leader with the plasma shells. Landing behind the three once mores, Spectre stabbed forward with one blade while drawing his second weapon, the blade exploding out of the Terminator's chest, while the other was brought around hack off its gun-totting arm, Spectre yanking it to the side before pulling the blade out, causing it to crash into its brethren once more...

The T-800 collapsed, armor smoking, and one of the T-600s simply picked up its heavily-damaged brethren and threw it at Spectre, the sheer weight of the machine making him fall backwards, a heavy T-600 on top of him. Despite being impaled through the chest and missing an arm, it still tried to smash Spectre's skull with its one remaining fist...

Spectre pulled his head to one side, dodging the attack, while he lifted the machine off of him, his strength increased by the armor he wore. Freeing himself, Spectre impaled the crippled Terminator's skull with one sword, while hurling the other at the closest Terminator, the sword impaling its head to the nearby wall. Pulling out his blade from the crippled Terminator, Spectre rolled forward to avoid any incoming fire, hacking off one of the legs of the remaining Terminator, causing it to fall onto its side...

As the T-600 fell, it grabbed onto Spectre's ankle, tripping him as well. It crawled forward, trying to reach farther and pin his foe...

Spectre hurled his blade down at the Terminator, impaling its head, allowing himself to get free. Retrieving both blades, Spectre turned toward Grievous and the others. "All targets destroyed." he droned, heading back toward the others.

Grievous finally cut through the door, kicking it down, only to come face-to-face with a group of Daleks, standing in the long tunnel behind the door. "Back away or be exterminated!" Grievous and Lissarkh raised their hands, but then stepped to the side, just as Dutch fired his Spartan Laser again, the beam being powerful enough to vaporize the Daleks and destroy the door at the other end of the tunnel. Grievous turned to Spectre. "Good work. Now then, let's get this over with, shall we?" He walked into the tunnel, followed by Lissarkh and the ODSTs...

Spectre once again sheathed his blades, walking off after Grievous and the others, hoping that they were at least their destination now...
