The Daleks looked around as Spectre disappeared, and the commander cursed. "Find him and exterminate him! Keep his swords handy!" The Daleks holding his swords, their standard arms replaced with claw-arms, stood near the commander, making sure that if Spectre tried to take them, he wouldn't get far...

Grievous shook his head. "He better have a good idea." Dare looked over at the cyborg and said, "F*ck it. If he doesn't get us free, I'm getting us out of here myself..."

Spectre, still cloaked, stepped lightly through the bridge, heading toward a number of consoles operating various functions of the ship. Suddenly, the armored figure's cloak disengaged, the wrist computer displaying once more, Spectre working swiftly to find what he needed, hacking directly into their systems long enough to find the lights illuminating the room. Overloading the lights on the bridge with rerouted power, Spectre cloaked swiftly once again, not having enough time to cause serious damage to the ship, but the white lights overhead burst from the intense power surging through them, plunging the bridge into darkness, giving the others a chance to get away from their captors...

The group scattered, Grievous and Lissarkh blind in the darkness, but they managed to get away from the confused Daleks, while the ODSTs had an easier time thanks to the night-vision capability in their helmets. By the time the Daleks had gotten out the door to look around, the group had already turned the corner. The commander shouted, "Don't let them get away! EXTERMINATE THEM!" Daleks charged down the corridor in a column, weapons at the ready...

Spectre, still in the darkened room, was able to see via his own night vision capabilities, bringing up the wrist computer display once more. Now relatively hidden, he quickly began rerouting the power once again, diverting it from all essential ship components such as its ability to lift off, planning on grounding the ship long enough for them to escape. Finishing his work quickly, Spectre reactivated the stealth camouflage, darting out of the bridge in an attempt to catch up with the others...

The Vardian Invasion Force moved forward, the craft entering from an angle into the atmosphere, making use of the Dalek fleet's distraction to let them get in without trouble. as the 7 Personnel Carriers neared the ground, all sorts of craft emerged, ranging from tanks of numerous different types, to VX series mechs, to the numerous helicoptors. 4 Nisr'Ankh attack helicoptors followed Serephir, who was flying the Silver Scorpion. the 5 craft were escorting 2 APC shuttles, the whole squadron heading for Vassek to rescue Grievous and the others. meanwhile the invasion force was taking positions around the city, preparing to push inwards...

HKs swarmed the skies above the city, attacking the invasion force viciously, while all manner of Terminator machines charged through the streets, trying keep Serephir's forces away from Vassek. Five HKs all fire their Plasma Shells at the helicopters and APCs in Serephir's convoy, following that up with machine gun fire to tear through the other craft...

the Silver Scorpion twisted out of the convoy, rolling to the side and redirecting, 2 of the escort helecoptors doing a 180 degree turn, moving in reverse, and releasing heavy amounts of supressive fire, the Silver Scorpion moving at immense speeds as it opened fire on two HKs, plasma-headed missiles being unleashed at them in groups of 8, 4 slamming into each of the HKs, hitting them in the engines and exploding, destroying the fans that kept them airborne, Serephir pulling up and going supersonic...

Meanwhile, the numerous Destroyers accompanying the massive Carriers opened fire on enemy craft with their particle cannons and Pulse Plasma cannons, the shots moving at such speed that, in the small distances in atmosphere, there was literally no time to dodge, HKs dropping out of the skies by the dozens, the first of the Goliath Carriers touching down, several boarding bays going down at the ships' sides, legions of tanks and mechs rolling out and heading towards the capital city. on the roof of the Carrier, the wide flat surface of it split to reveal a massive hanger, V-35 Nighthawk Air Superiority Fighters and Nisr'Ankh helecoptors swarming into the air y the dozens. a radio order from Serephir was sent to the V-35s, 4 squadrons moving in to support them, each squadron carrying 3 aircraft...

on the ground, the deafening booms of the Champion 3 and the larger, more powerful Warlord MBTs began to echo through the battlefield as the ground forces began to press into the city, APCs going in behind the tanks, their missile turrets used to reach what the tanks couldn't. two more Goliath Carriers touched down somewhere on the other side of the capital city, others almost at ground level, already sending out their aircraft to take the air from the Daleks...

More HKs replaced the destroyed ones, swarming from the commander's ship, using their plasma shells in a similar manner to the Destroyers, knocking helicopters and V-35s off-course through the sheer force and speed of the shots, while T-600s, T-7Ts, Aerostats, and HK Tanks marched through the streets, firing their powerful weaponry at the ground forces, pounding them chaingun and plasma shell fire. A few Harvesters, guarding the base of Vassek, released Scout Bikes that zoomed towards the battles, firing their own cannons, while the Harvester's shoulder cannons shot even larger craft out of the sky...

Suddenly, the TGDA fleet arrived in full force over Trandosha, releasing all their ground forces, sending immense numbers of dropships towards the city, to retake what was theirs, while the ships themselves began a pitched battle with the Dalek ships still in orbit...

As Spectre ran out of the room, the Dalek commander and two more Daleks charged out after him, firing their rays at him, the red beams lancing past him and threatening to vaporize him completely...

Spectre launched himself at the nearby wall of the hallway, springing off it with both feet, propelling him away from the incoming shots, still camouflaged. Using his superior speed, Spectre darted down the hallway, quickly reaching the Daleks still hunting the others, not yet noticed by the group. Spying a Dalek still in possession of his blades, Spectre darted forward, roundhouse kicking the strange alien creature into the wall of the hallway, the force strong enough to force it to release his weapons. Retrieving the weapons, Spectre activated his stealth camouflage once again, attempting to move around the Daleks...

The Daleks swiveled their domes around, looking for Spectre, only to have a Spartan Laser blast vaporize one of them. Dutch shouted, "Come on, you giant trash cans! Show us what you've got!" he retreated around the corner, after the rest of the group, while the Daleks slowly regained their composure, beginning to march back down the hallway, mostly at the urging of the commander as he came around the corner...

one of the Destroyers approached Vassek from above, contributing it's firepower to the escort as Serephir and the RVH-66 and RVH-22 Valkyrie helicoptors weaved in and out of the Convoy and through enemy forces, missiles and plasma cannons blaring, the Destroyer's particle cannons hitting the HK craft indiscriminantly, each shot vapourising a craft entirely, as the 4 support squadrons flew in after Serephir, assisting him in high speed combat. "HVMS Defiance, this is General Serepihr. requesting a bombardment of streets surrounding Vassek. we need it cleared if we want to get our troops to the ground safely" commanded Serephir as he did a 270 degree flip, diving down to street level and releasing several missiles, dropping a bomb on one of the Harvesters, the projectile ripping through it's armour and detonating, Serephir, pulling a sharp upwards turn just as the response from the destroyer came. "Understood, General. proceeding to fire". just then, a number of the ship's multiple direction plasma artilliary cannons opened fire, shells slamming into the ground and blowing massive holes in the Dalek army, T-7Ts, T-600s, HK Tanks and even a couple of Harvesters being blown apart. immediately afterwards, the two Armoured Personnel Carriers descended, several RVH-66s going down after them, clearing the streets of any and all survivors...

More machines poured out of Vassek, several HK tanks pounding the APCs with plasma shell fire, while the smaller infantry forces focused on anything the APCs would release once they landed. HKs attacked the RVH-66s from behind with their own weaponry, keeping them away from the ground forces...

The Wolf's Bane had arrived back at Trandosha, still cloaked, earlier in the battle, and sent a message to Dare: "Captain, everything's going to hell down there! I'm radioing for reinforcements to get you out of there!" "Understood. Send down a Shortsword when I say so. We may need to clear a path out of here!"

a series of 52 missiles slammed into the HKs, the various HK tanks and any ground based infantry visible, the V-35s above doing suppression passes on the enemies below.as the APCs landed, hordes of T-20s charged out of the sides, opening fire on ground forces with their high caliber gatling guns and plasma cannons, the more powerful varients tackling T-600s and ripping them apart, as two squads of 12 soldiers, 6 in each team of which were VAMCEB, in Combat armour, the high mobility armour helping them weave between the enemy ranks, as a cloaked figure landed among them from above. above, the Silver Scorpion went hypersonic, stealth systems activating as it patrolled above, silent, it's hull design and construction making energy emissions near zero, the specialised sound and radar absorbant compound rubber paint making it literally invisible, active camouflage taking care of what the other systems couldn't. the only downside this had was that now, it's engines could only keep it running for 4 and a half hours, instead of the regular 16. Serephir and his soldiers moved forward, as the land based offensive grew in momentum, more and more tanks and mechs pushing in from all sides, aerial support making short work of any form of artilliary the tanks couldn't reach, the tanks and land based APCs eating away at infantry and armoured units alike. above, the escort devisions split in half, more and more destroyers moving in over Vassek, helping to suppress the Dalek Army's retaliatory attempts...

The Dalek forces, now bolstered by the much more vicious Daleks themselves, stubbornly battled on, the Daleks' rays depleting the T-20s' shields swiftly, allowing the more agile machine to focus their fire on them while the Daleks turned to newer targets. HKs used their agility to make passes on the VAMCEb ground forces, the sheer explosive force of the plasma shells scattering smaller troops and punching holes in larger ones. HK tanks continued using their machine guns and plasma cannons to rain death on their opponents, being some of the toughest and deadliest troops the Daleks had at their disposal.

the T-20s, indifferent to the attacks being fired at them, despite large numbers of them being damaged, continued to fight on, the ones that were almost guaranteed to be destroyed making use of themselves as meat shields for the more intact ones, the most damaged of them going in the HK tanks' firing line and firing their sustained plasma cannons directly at the gatling guns of the tanks, , using their gatling guns to enhance their combat ability. Serephir, meanwhile, was carving a path of destruction as he went towards the entrance of the Trandoshan tower, the soldiers following, moving in formations to allow maximum numbers of kills. in several cases, they used fallen HK tanks as cover as they pressed forward. the RVH-66s bombarded the enemy forces with rapid fire plasma cannons at the tanks, pummeling them into submission, the ones out of the helicoptors' line of sight getting taken out by Vardian rocket launchers. even after the APC had seemingly emptied it's troop compliment, other, not so obvious forces were bineg released, while it's hull mounted cannons fired at the enemy forces. not far away, the first of the Vardian tanks were carving their way to the tower, massive craters left wherever the tanks aimed their guns, VX-5s and the heavier VX-7 Obliterators using their PSCs to eliminate anything traditional ordinance based weaponry couldn't take out, the walkers ripping through HK-Tanks like tissue paper as the Vardian Armed Forces pushed on into the heart of the Trandoshan capital...

Spectre uncloaked as he got closer to the others, swords sheathed, a small disc-like object shooting out of his wrist, opposite the one the knife had been placed in, the disc sinking into the ceiling above them, quickly left behind by the fleeing party. The disc activated, projecting an invisible trip field below it, ready to detonate once their pursuers caught up...

A cannon extended from the bottom of the Dalek ship and fired its ray on a large concentration of VAMCEB troops, blowing a massive crater into the ground where they once stood. As the cannon prepared to fire again, a hail of laser fire rained on the underside of the ship, eventually busting through the shields and destroying the cannon. The TGDA dropships had dropped off Annihilator droids and Droidekas, which marched through the city, bombarding their foes with deadly laser fire. The Dalek forces split between both approaching forces, firing on both, though the droids' thick shields made them extremely difficult to destroy, and even the Droidekas could take down Daleks with enough concentrated fire...

As the Daleks still in the ship chased after the prisoners, the commander sent a message to release their main weapon: the T-1000. Though it was a prototype, the Daleks were confident it could take care of the enemy, especially the bothersome commander that was cutting a swathe of destruction towards Vassek...

As the bulk of the Daleks passed under the disc, it detonated, hurling many Daleks into the walls of the hallway, while the explosion caved in a large portion of the hall, debris crushing even more Daleks, while also blocking the way for others...

The Longbow stationed in high orbit over the capital city watched with interest as the Silver Scorpion disappeared from sensors. It conferred with a few others, who were also watching with interest. They confirmed losing track of the fighter, but one of them brought something much more interesting to the centre of attention. A sliver haired figure butchering his way towards Vassek. One of them immediately streamed images from some of its warriors. A pair of invisible eyes watching an alien cyborg and his niece, stumbling through the darkness with some suited soldiers. How interesting. While it was an amusing coincidence, the battle was the real attraction. The Longbow noticed the large amount of drones in the Vardian arsenal, reminded of the distant but not forgotten days when it served an officer of flesh and bone. Unfortunately, the ship's ai was incapable of comprehending how that effected it. It was a weapon of war, it didn't matter who swung the blade. It got what it wanted, and that was blood.

Deep in Vassek, the invisible form of an ARIS Assassin tracked the strange team of creatures through the darkness. It wasn't surprised when the sword wielding soldier appeared, only moderately interested. After short deliberation, the newcomer was ignored, he, she, or it had no place in the Assassin's. Silently scampering along the roof above the fleeing party, it used its clearband transmitter to contact Grevious, the cyborg. The transmission would remain completely private and secure. "General Grevious of the TGDA?"

Grievous and his group didn't stop running, but Grievous replied, "That is me. Who is this?"

The Dalek commander shouted, enraged, "Destroy the rubble! Let us through immediately!" Several Daleks who weren't damaged by the explosion began burning their way through the rubble that blocked the corridor, while the commander watched impatiently.
