[Pyronychus]

Switchblade walked back to the tree she had clawed earlier and laid down in the shade. She wondered about mutants. Who were they? What made them different. How did they become mutants? Were they born that way, or did something happen later on to change them? She sat in thought for a while, licking the wound on her arm.

[Legendary Elite]

Largefang had been in a miserable mood all day long. He had lost his pack. He was alone. But at least he had avenged them by slaughtering their attackers. He knew it was going to be harder to defend his end of Crusher's territory but he knew he would prevail. He knew that Crusher, being a huge rex would be more concerned with the bigger predators rather than smaller ones. Luckily the Ultra Raptors had not returned. He was sure that their leader had got the message hopefully. And he hoped that Crusher was safe too...

Goldfang and Norsefang were still hunting for Fatalis, he was not too far away now. They had been travelling for most of the day. They had run into a few troubles along their way. A pack of Ceolophysis had a nesting site and the two raptors had accidently walked right through it, aggrivating the dinosaurs. But after killing a few, they stopped chasing them...

orange sail was at a lake that had many fish in it. he had come to quench his thirst and satisfy his hunger. he could easily satisfy his thirst. now, he simply needed food and the food he wanted right now was fish. the orange sailed spinosaur stood still in the water, waiting for a large fish to come close to him. a large fish with red scales come close to orange sail, and it was the perfect moment for orange sail to strike at it. the spino lowered his snout into the water quickly and just as quickly as it went under, it came up with the fish caught between the teeth. orange sail swallowed the fish and stood still once again, waiting for another fish to come close.

Steeltalon nodded. "A long time indeed," she growled softly. "You need a place to stay, right?"

Silver lifted her head as Switchblade laid down beside a tree. She got up and went over to the Lili, laying down beside her. "What're you thinking about?" she asked.

[Pyronychus]

Switcblade smiled faintly as Silver laid down beside her. "Nothing important." she licked her arm again. "It's just that I overheard Redtooth talking to someone about a mutant or something. I was trying to figure out what a mutant was." She cocked her head and blinked, thinking again. "That raptor I saw before looked different from all the others. She had spiky things on her head and neck and she was a wierd color. Could she have been one of them?"

Silver tilted her head to one side, thinking. "She probably was a mutant, yes," she agreed. "But have you ever noticed that Steeltalon is a different color as well?" She knew she was about to tell Switchblade something that Steeltalon would probably prefer she didn't.

[dinoman666]

Redtooth, who was laying nearby, got up and walked over to Silver and Switchblade to listen in on the conversation.

"Well..." Silver continued, not waiting for Silver to reply. "Her father was a mutant, while her mother was a normal raptor. She's a half-mutant." Silver shivered, remembering Steeltalon's eyes when she got angry.

Redtooth hissed, "Sorry to interrupt, but I was just curious about what makes someone a mutant?"

[Hopeflower]

Silver jumped slightly at the sound of Redtooth's voice. She relaxed and growled softly, "There's a poisoned lake up by the abandoned human structure. Dinosaurs drink from it and become mutants..." Silver trailed off, thinking.

[dinoman666]

Redtooth scratched himself absently. He growled, "Weird. I've never heard of a lake do that, or become poisoned, for that matter."

[Hopeflower]

Silver shrugged. "I supppose it's because of the humans," she guessed. She shifted slightly, finding a comfortable position.

[The Kingpin]

Fatalis had arrived at the place where Softfoot was apparently last seen. it was on the edge of the plains, there was a little area of trees within the jungle, near the edge, which had grown alot more vines than usual. it provided alot of cover for Lone Wolves to meet, and had, for this reason, been chosen as a meeting spot. a small stream trickled by it, and a large pack of Compies lived nearby, in the rotten log of a massive fallen tree. he began to track it. apparently he'd be visiting Steeltalon again sooner than he had expected...

Steeltalon sighed, taking Softfoot's silence for a yes. "Well, you can stay at the caves with the rest of us, or there's a very sheltered spot not too far from here." she told her old friend. "Either way, you'll be safe and well-protected."

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade's eyes widened. "She's half mutant? I did notice she was a differend color, but never knew what it meant before now." She thought for a minute, then an old memory suddenly resurfaced. Her eyes widened even more at the realization. She muttered slowly, "I think I've seen that lake. Before Redtooth and Steeltalon found me, I came across a greenish lake." She shivered, realizing what she could have done. "I - I almost drank out of it."

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness groaned, lifting his head up lazily. He looked at the sleeping hatchlings, seeing no activity there. Alone again....but this time...I'm bored... Darkness growled, yawning at the end of his sentence. ....And I still talk to myself... he snarled, laying his head down in embarrassment. Darkness groaned again and rolled onto his back, his legs idley swaying in the air.

[Hopeflower]

Silver nodded. "It's a good thing you didn't drink out of it, then," she murmured, gently nudging Switchblade. "Or else we might not be here right now." In response to Switchblade's question, Silver nodded. "Yes...and something truly amazing is in her blood. The Fury that has plagued her line since before she was hatched. Truly an amazing sight."

[Doc 42]

Softfoot shook her head, still abit shocked and hissed "Thanks, could you show me the shelltered spot?"

[Hopeflower]

"Sure. Just watch your head on the way in." Steeltalon turned and started heading back the way she had come. After about five minutes, she arrived back at the clearing surrounded by brambles. "Here it is," she growled. "It should keep you protected."

Softfoot Nodded in thanks. When they arrived Softfoot looked, around. It was perfect for what she wanted. She hissed quitely "Steeltalon.... I am really scared at the moment. I mean, when I was first, changed like this, I didn't care... But nobody trusts me anymore when I meet them.... Have you ever had problems like these?"
