Silver smiled at Rawclaw. "What about Rose?" she purred softly, gently nuzzling her mate.

Steeltalon nodded. She yawned slightly, suddenly feeling tired. Maybe it was because her sleep had been restless, and she hadn't dared believe that Darkness was dead.

"Rose," RawClaw repeated while studying the hatchling and purred in agreement. "Rose is a beautiful name for her," he purred while nuzzling Silver. "Ah, yes Rose."

Blade nodded. "Nice to meet you too, Shadow leaf and Raven. who else is there around here, besides you two, Darkness and Switchblade? whose Darkness' mate?"...

Fatalis hissed "Well, i was going to see if there was anything i could possibly help with hints we know, as Lone Wolves. as far as i can remember, we dont have much to help with the problems you're having. we might, but i need to spend some time to remember if there's anything that could help with that"...

Steeltalon lifted her head, staring right at the allo. "I am Darkness' mate," she growled. At that moment, the four hatchlings came running into the cave, smelling their mother and father, expecting a game. Steeltalon's eyes softned as she watched the hatchlings. "Ruby, what are you doing to your brother?" she murmured as she gently pushed Ruby off Darktalon. "Darktalon, Ruby, Blackstripe and Whitestreak," Steeltalon added in a low murmur to Darkness.

Silver's girn widened a bit as she leaned into Rawclaw's touch. She rested her head on her mate's shoulder, proudly watching their young hatchling, now named Rose, hop around the nest in excitement.

Softfoot thought for a moment and then barked "One thing that has been bugging me. A lone wolf used to frequently visit our territory, I havn't seen him since but he used to be able to send whole packs of enemys running, alone. We would be clueless to how he did it but it was as if the other pack had been out numbered and just ran away. By any chance could you tell me anything about that?"

Shadow leaf gestured towards Sandstorm, who was siting in the tree he had chosen yesterday and growled "He is Sandstorm, my mate."

Blade jumped when a Raptor suddenly stared at him and growled that she was Darkness' mate. he soon calmed down however, and looked at Shadow Leaf as she mentioned her mate, Sandstorm, who was sitting in a tree. it was an odd name, but he decided not to ask now. perhaps at another time. he decided the best he could do now was rest for a bit and let him digest his food. he would stay awake and respond to the Raptors, but he would be sitting on his side most of the time, to give his body a time to recover from the sudden boost in nourishment...

Fatalis grinned. "Was that Raptor, by chance, named Xanther?" he hissed, a sparkle in his eye that looked on on him...

Softfoot made a raptor frown as she thought back. That was probably the strangest name she had ever heard, and she would never forget hearing it. She barked quitely "Yes actually, it was. Do you know him?" She had mixed memories about that raptor, some good times, mostly annoying or plain bad times, but he had done some very usefull things for them.

Raven hissed to Blade, "Be careful what you say around her...that is Steeltalon, owner and defender of this territory." He gestured toward the playing hatchlings and added, "Those are her hatchlings. Hers and Darkness'. Don't make any remarks about her coloring, because she's not what she looks like." He remembered that Steeltalon was a half-mutant, and it was dangerous to call her a full one. He eyed her powerful legs and shoulders and decided that any raptor who opposed her was probably in for a serious thrashing.

Blade's stare seemed to soften when he saw the hatchlings. they reminded him so much of his childhood, when he still had friends to play with him. he looked up at Raven at his next few words, and growled "What is she supposed to look like? I've never seen a Raptor with her colouration before"...

Fatalis grinned. "He was the one who told us of that little trick, though it was with a bit of difficulty. that trick is meant to confuse attackers into thinking there are alot of others around it. it doesn't work everywhere though. when the attacker is too focused on attacking to think properly about sounds, it helps, because it's simply using surroundings to make a bark echo. making numerous, intricate sounding calls can confuse attackers into thinking the Raptor's communicating with other Raptors, the echoes sounding like other Raptors. it works especially well in caves that allow for entry by large predators or packs. i used a similar tactic to help save some friends of mine once. a pack of Raptors, my father's former pack of corrupted mutants, had surrounded them and were closing in. i knew that technique wouldn't work, so instead, being in the trees and unnoticed to them, i could use it to my advantage. i ran through the trees, making barks, going around to the other side of the clearing, and making another one, then going to a third place and making a screech, and so on. it made them think that, by trapping two Raptors, they had fallen into the trap of an even larger group. both techniques work very well against large groups. the important thing is to make sure that the target isn't starving, and isn't blinded by anger, otherwise they wont care about it. these techniques, as far as i have experienced, can work on all but the largest and most determined predators. i scared off 5 Albertosaurs with it one time" he hissed finally, having revealed his favourite techniques...

Raven sighed and lowered his voice to barely above a murmur. "She has been judged for looking like a mutant too many times before. Steeltalon is only half-mutant, though. So...try to avoid accusing her of being a mutant, because it's a touchy subject with her and Darkness. Not to mention her friends."

Her eyes sparkled with a hint of intrest. This was the kindv'e thing she wanted to learn. She stopped sharpening her claws off the tree and turned to him growling "Really? 5 albertasaurus? Now thats the kindv'e thing I was hopeing to learn from you. First though I will have to get better at moving through the trees, anything else like that you could tell me about?"

RawClaw closed his eye and purred as he felt Silver lean into his shoulder. He let a reptillian grin appear as he watched Rose hop around the nest. She was an energetic little thing. "Hey, reminds me when we were little," he commented with a barking chuckle.

Darkness nodded, eyeing the hatchlings. It embarrassed him to not know their names until just now, but he shook it off. Darkness looked at the creatures outside, turning to stare blankly at Steeltalon, blinking repeatidly. He shifted, his side burning from the wound. Darkness let out a snarl of pain, glancing down at his side. He turned back to watch the hatchlings, remaining by Steeltalon's side.

Silver nodded. "Back when we were young, innocent," she purred, closing her eyes.

Steeltalon glanced at Darkness' wounds, murmuring, "How did you get those?" She tensed, ready for an explosion of anger, or for something to come crashing into the cave and attack them.

Fatalis hissed "Well, it may not sound very handy, but there is NOTHING more intimidating to any living thing than to look it right in the eye. thats one of the reasons so many creatures fear Rexes above other similarly built predators. because, by nature, Rexes know that tactic. they look right into your eyes, paralyzing you with pure fear. i've used that tactic to intimidate things as large as Carnotaurs before. i didn't believe it was possible, but i actually managed to make a Carnotaur back away just by looking it right in the eyes and snarling. that, coupled with that confusion tactic i told you about earlier is enough to make almost anything feel afraid when facing you"...

Blade cocked his head for a moment, slightly confused. "Mutant? what's that?". he had never heard of a mutant before. why did Steeltalon get touchy about it for? what was the reason behind everyone's discomfort at the term?...

Darkness looked at Steeltalon, turning back to look at the ground. Gigus... he hissed, gritting his teeth. Darkness glanced back at Steeltalon, sighing heavily. Just got into a fight...Twice... he growled, smirking.

Steeltalon spotted a wad of dripping moss nearby and gingerly picked it up, pressing it to the deepest of the wounds gently but firmly with one hand. "Moron," she murmured teasingly. "Don't you know it's bad to fight with others?" Her eyes sparkled with amusement.

"A mutant is...a creature that's different. It's bigger, stronger, and smarter than others of its species, but it's completely insane," Raven growled, doing his best to explain.

Darkness winced slightly, relaxing again. Ah, but it was that Carchar that re-broke my leg....Had to return him the favor... he growled, grinning.

Softfoot narrowed her eyes slightly and hissed "Your right, that does sound crazy. But it probably could work." She didn't want to reveal that she had used that before. Just not to scare things away, she used it when lieing to somebody, some of the memories she would perfer to kept in the dark.

Shadow leaf glanced at Raven, not really knowing what exactly a mutant was herself. Instantly her mind strayed back to Softfoot, was she insane now? What if she tried to attack them?

Steeltalon shook her head, smiling faintly. "Revenge couldn't have waited until you got here?" she asked. While she spoke, she was gently pulling the moss away from one wound and pressing it to another, helping to keep the injuries clean.
