Switchblade's head popped up when she heard someone call to her. It was Raven. "Yeah. It's relaxing." she replied simply with a nod. The Lili glanced back up at another dinosaur shaped cloud. "That's the second cloud I've seen today that looks like Sabre. It's like she's still watching me... trying to get me to play with her again..." she chirped in wonder, eyes locked on the sky.

Fatalis nodded. "I used to be one to show off alot. but that was me a long time ago. im not like that anymore. discovering my family was alive and well has given me a new reason to live. now that i have them, i dont want to be seperated from them by death. not again. death was the illusion i thought had seperated them from me for many years. i dont want it to appear in it's true form to seperate me from them again"...

Blade watched Switchblade curiously as she watched the sky. he was surprised he hadn't noticed the beauty of the sky above before. he never spent the time to look at it. he decided he'd lay down, roll onto his back and look at it. at first, he saw plain blue. but, looking at it for a period of time, he realised it wasn't just one shade of blue. it was hundreds of them. looking into it made him almost lose himself. he just continued to watch at the endless sea of blue that floated above him...

Softfoot thought for a moment. She could brush off the subject as it was probably painful for him, or she could to talk to him make him feel better about it. Yet again she found herself thinking back to Sandstorm and Clawfist and what they would do. Without really thinking she mumered "I can't remember my familiy. I know that they are dead, I know how they died. But I can't remember them at all." She sighed and added "Sometimes I wish I could though"

Darkness smiled at Steeltalon, staring at the female, regaining his happy attitude. He glanced around, eyeing the hatchlings. Darkness rest his head against Steeltalon's once more, showing a breif sign of affection. He wanted to say more, but couldn't find anything to say. Darkness smiled again, laying his head down, staring blankly ahead.

Fatalis was shocked. "You cant remember your own parents?" he started. after bringing himself out of the shock, he continued "...Still, some would wish they would be able to forget their pasts and focus on the future...my friend, Crusher, is one of those many. he's only a simple example. his family was slaughtered before his eyes. and to this day, he has nightmares reminding him of those terrible days. it drove him to the brink of sanity, which is why he seems to go insane when he's enraged. he's only barely holding onto the last scraps of sanity he has left, for the sake of the family he has now. killing Thrasher the Spinosaur was one of the things that saved him. he finally managed to regain his father's lost title, and with it, a bit of what his life once was".

Softfoot looked at him and growled quitely "Actually for alot of my life I have been grateful not to remember them. My freinds, well, were my family. I had a brother, but I can't remember him now either. My freinds were the only family I would need. But now, they are gone, my mate is gone, so many others are.... gone." She sighed and hissed "I must seem like a monster, being so matter of fact about those close to me dying...."

Fatalis shook his head. "We're predators. where we go, death follows. a hard life hardens one's heart to death. we all die eventually. how we die, well that's up to fate. i fell cold to the death of those close to me a long time ago. too many of those i cared about were dying. fora while, i thought i was the reason they died. but then, my mind stuck to revenge. and i took revenge for every friend i had lost"...

Blade had been staring at the sky for a while, and now wanted to learn a bit more about the ones he was living with for now. he got up, and padded over to Shadow Leaf, and growled "I've been a thinking a bit. i wanted to know a bit more about you, Sandstorm and the others. it looks like im living here for a while, i should at least try and learn what to do and what not to do, what to say, what to be careful about, just learn about the ones around me"...

Softfoot shook her head and snarled "I have no intention of inacting revenge. My old life is gone, as well with most of those who I knew in it. My best freind decided to try take revenge for all his freinds he had lost and all those who were harmed. I have known him my whole life, infact I cant even remember meeting him, he was just always there, and right now I hope I never look into his eyes again."

Shadow leaf looked at the allo amused, slightly intimedated by its size. She hissed "Well you should talk to everyone individually about their past. I dont think its my place to tell you. However, none of us very normal pasts. Everyone has had something happen to them which they are uncomfortable about. Sandstorm and I.... We had a tough life, but we made it though. Then an "inccident" occured and I was injured badly, the whole pack spilt up. When I woke up, I was at Steeltalons old home, Sandstorm was there, everyone here was there, except Raven. I still don't know most of the details, you would have to ask Sandstorm. You should talk to Steeltalon when she is done talking with Darkness. She is the owner of the territory and is very clear on that subject. What she says goes. Not even Darkness dares to question her owner ship...."

Steeltalon's eyes glowed with affection as she let her hand drop and resumed cleaning Darkness' wounds. She remained silent for a few minutes, then decided to ask what he had been doing wile they had been leaving the caves. "So what were you doing while the rest of us left? Nobody knew where you were when we realized you weren't with us."
"Gotta have a little sadness once in a while so you know when the good times come."

I was speaking with Crusher...Despite our "problems" with eachother in the past...I still considered him an ally... Darkness growled, turning to look at Steeltalon. I thought you and the group were hiding someone nearby...I never expected it to be this long of a journey... he growled, smiling.

Blade nodded, then growled "Is there anyone who might be uncomfortable about their past? i dont want to lose my welcome here just because of a mistake"...

Fatalis nodded. "In that case, just be thankful you cant remember your past. it'll save you the pain"...

Steeltalon smiled faintly. "It was probably a lot harder on you than it was on us," she murmured, gaze raking the wounds she'd just cleaned on Darkness' flank. "We were starting to think you'd never find us..." She fell silent as she stretched her neck forward and sniffed Darkness' wounds. "Those should heal nicely, as long as you're not jumping around as much as you did before we came here." Amusement flickered in her scarlet eyes.

Raven watched Switchblade curiously. He'd never just relaxed to watch the sky.

Shadow leaf sighed and hissed "Everyone is uncormfortable about it. I dunno about Darkness though. He seems to of had a normal enough background. Don't ask anybody about their past untill you have earned their trust. For now, just get yourself back in shape."

Softfoot turned back to sharpening her claws off the bark. In contrast to her whole body, her claws where peraly white. She barked "Honestly, I don't feel pain anymore. You could talk to me about my past for hours, force me to remember yet I wouldn't feel a thing. I have spent to much of my life feeling sorry for myself, so I just don't care about it anymore"

Blade nodded. "I'll keep that in mind. thank you for the suggestions, Shadow Leaf" he growled. earning trust and getting back into shape. it seemed those two things were the most important things on his little agenda for the next few weeks...

Fatalis nodded. he bit the last scrap of flesh off of his kill and threw the bones into the bush with the other one, making a small crunch as it landed. Fatalis looked at SoftFoot and hissed "Feeling thirsty?"...

Softfoot hacked the bark with claws again, this time getting them stuck in. She narrowed her eyes and snarled "No, actually, im fine." At that she tore her claws out of the bark, riping a section of bark out and sending it flying to her side. She grunted heavily and walked around the tree and proceded through the jungle.

Shadow leaf nodded and hissed "Your welcome Blade" At that she walked over to the tree and lay down in the grass underneath Sandstorms branch. She liked having someplace to rest she could call her own...

Darkness smirked at his mate, looking at his own wounds. She had cleaned them nicely, the only pain left was a dull stinging. I thought I would follow the travel forever, going in circles... he growled, staring straight at Steeltalon, sorrow in his gaze. Darkness leaned forward again, resting his head against her's. I thought I would never see you again.... he growled, the feelings of being alone starting to haunt him, despite where he was. Darkness shifted back, laying his head down. He glanced at the hatchlings, his mate, and his friends, the sight of them making him feel slightly better...

Steeltalon sighed, resting her head on her mate's shoulder. "I was thinking the same thing," she murmured, closing her eyes. "It wasn't the same with you gone." She finally felt comfortable enough to settle down and call this place home again.

Switchblade continued to relax on her back, staring into the endless blueness of the sky. She seemed to lose herself in the clouds. All her troubles and problems melted away, replaced by infinite peacefulness. Then her eyes fell on a round, light grey disk that had appeared from behind a cloud. She glanced briefly at Raven and murmured, "Is that the moon?" then turned her gaze back to the sky. As the minutes ticked by, the clouds around the white disk floated away, fully exposing the object. It was definitely the moon, but the Lili had never seen it in the daylight before. "I thought it only came out at night," she chirped, still slightly dreamy.

Raven glanced up at the moon and murmured, "Must be getting close to noon." His voice was oddly soft as he gazed up at the white disk, not quite sure why it was out in the daylight.

Darkness smiled faintly at Steeltalon, relaxing finally. He was tired, starting to feel the exhaustion of the trip again. Darkness sighed heavily, closing his eyes. He opened them again to stare briefly at the hatchlings, and then at Steeltalon, before closing them again, sleep finally claiming him.
