Switchblade again saw the distant flash of movement and broke into an all out run, stumbling over rocks and around bushes, just wanting to get to safety. Streaking as fast as she could, she could see the cave at the edge of the clearing and bolted for it. As she zoomed toward a bush, she suddenly lost her footing and plunged headlong to the ground, shrieking as she hit and came face to face with a black shape. She scrambled to get away, then realizing who it was, chirped, "Darkness! I, um didn't see you there." She awkwardly got to her feet, embarressed that she had freaked out so badly. She lowered her head and slunk away, realizing that her mind had probably played a trick on her and that she had made a fool of herself. Again. As usual. The Lili kept her head low while she made her way slowly to the spinosaur carcas, inwardly cursing herself for her stupidity.

Sandstorm saw darkness walk out of the cave below. He wanted to go down and talk to him, ask him what happened. But he just didnt have the energy, so instead he stretched out along the branch and rested his head on one of his wristes, his other hand hanging loosley below him. He rested there almost sleeping, scanning the forest fo signs of movement.

razor edge opened his eyes and saw that it was now morning. he heard a noise from the lake and he saw orange sail standing in the shallow water of lake. razor edge came closer and saw a fish coming close to the spino. orange sail quickly lunged at the fish and snapped it up. razor edge stood near orange sail and waited for a fish to come by. when a small fish with green scales came by, razor edge quickly lunged at his target and grabbed it in his jaws. he left the water and returned to his resting spot before eating the fish.

Darkness looked at Switchblade, shrugging it off. He layed his head back down, continueing to stare blankly. Darkness sighed, looking around the strange new area.

Cleavus and the others swam for dear life. It was easy to see underwater as they swam through the reeds that swayed back and forth. Immediately Brachiosaur heads plunged into the water and began to feast on the reeds. The Compy's and the Procompsognathus's ignored this and continued on swimming. But Cleavus got the feeling they were being followed in the water...

Grimfang eventually had outran the Crylophosaur which had pursued him. He was now entering a cave deep in the canyon. He wondered what lurked inside the cave as he climbed up over the last few rocks before entering inside the enormous cavern...

Blade walked over to Darkness and growled "Nice to see you up again, Darkness. nice sleep?". he saw a lizard try and scurry past his feet, and caught it, eating it and then looking back at Darkness waiting for a response...

A week had passed since Crusher began cleaning out his territory of other predators. most of the ones who had been allies left without trouble. the only ones still in the territory were SharpClaw's pack and Diablo, being the only ones who ad been truly loyal to him. since he finished, life had been running smoothely. the recent events had left most predators too fearful to venture near Crusher's territory, some actually running to avoid him. it allowed him to expand his territory which had, by now, made up nearly 12% of the island, so now not only was he among the most feared predators, but also had the largest single territory, solidifying his place as the Most Dominant Predator. among the territories he had was formerly Steeltalon's, but they had disappeared, apparently uncomfortable with his presence. either way, he had decided to keep it under his protection in case they decided to return. the youngsters had by now grown nearly the size of Carnotaurs, and were very skilled hunters, often going on their own to get meals when they were hungry. Hunter had taken the North-Eastern part of the territory as his own, Crusher's years of work finally paying off as a support for his son's future territory. Rox would often go to her grandfather's nest, if only for the soul reason that she wanted to go on a hunting trip with her uncle and childhood playmate, Razor. Crusher had been teaching Razor various fighting techniques, making him a prime fighter capable of protecting himself against most other predators if he were to be attacked alone. today Crusher had awoken hungry, and he decided to let his family sleep while he caught them a fitting meal. he walked off towards the hunting grounds, planning to catch himself an Edmontosaur...

Darkness was still staring ahead, half asleep. He suddenly looked at Blade, yawning. ....Ya...Good sleep...How about yourself...? Darkness growled, stretching while still laying on the ground.

Steeltalon glanced around and barked to Sandstorm and Darkness, "I'm going for a walk." Without waiting for a response, she headed into the jungle, towards her family's final resting place.

Sandstorm nodded to Steeltalon as she left, not really intrested in what she was doing. Feeling slightly more active he stood up on his branch, looking at aanother he lined himself up and then pounced across, landing perfectly onto the branch. He turned and found another branch, repeating what he did jumping from branch to branch.

Softfoot staggered out of the cave yawning. She pacecd around the cave entrance for a few minutes, stretching her limbs and eventually settleing down in some grass. Feeling slightly bored she coudn't help but wonder how she was going to pass the time here. Remembering what Fatalis said the other day, she stood up and walked over to a tree. Crouching below it. Then she leapt upwards with a loud hiss trying to land onto one of the lower branches. She didn't get the height needed and fell back to the ground. Snarling she tried again, this time getting high enough to claw into the branch, holding her in place. She pulled up her legs digging in with her killer claws and then pulled herself ontop of it. Triumpfunt she settled down on the branch thinking about her techniques and what she could change

Blade nodded "I think i've found myself a nice resting spot...until i get too big for it that is. a little root cave over there near the cave. hey, do you know where the nearest stream or river is? im thirsty" he growled, scratching his chin with a clawed hand. the meal had made him thirstier than he was to start with, and he had no idea how to find streams and rivers on his own...

Switchblade padded irritably over to the spinosaur and ripped into its lower leg, tearing off a chunk of meat and throwing it to the ground. She wasn't very hungry now, after her sudden fright, but made herself eat a few bites. She bit hard into the meat, taking out her frustration, still inwardly beating herself up for being scared of everything. After she was done ripping up the flesh and eating what she wanted, she finally calmed a bit and slunk toward the forest on the outskirts of the clearing. The Lili approached the tree line and decided to try to find the creature she had seen earlier. She walked the entire perimeter of the clearing, always a couple yards behind the tree line. She tried to listen for any sign of the creature, but came up with nothing. Slightly confused, she walked the rest of the way around the clearing to end up back at the cave. She took up her usual spot under a fern near the cave, and laid her head down, wondering if she imagined the whole thing.

Deep in the water, Parasuchus were about and were slowly pursuing the little dinosaurs as they swam in through the water cave. Cleavus knew that this was a very dangerous place to be. Small bubbles of air rose to the surface of the water. They used the water bubbles to obtain more air from them so as to not drown...

Grimfang looked around the cave, it had the remains of human usage. There was long platforms and lights going through the cavern. It was dark but not too dark. Grimfang looked around, there was not much around that were of interest. Suddenly a small rock came down from high above. Grimfang looked up to see something dart off. He looked down and saw footprints, they were raptor footprints. He saw more and more and then realized he was not alone...

Darkness shrugged, confused about this new place as much as Blade was. I have no idea...sorry... he growled, looking to where Steeltalon disappeared to. Darkness limped after the female, curious about where she was going to...

Sandstorm continued to scan the forest, finding nothing of intrest. He leapt onto the trunk and toke his claws out slightly making him slide down. When he was low enough he jumped off, turning in the air and landing onto the ground with a soft thud. He grunted and walked past the cave entrance, over to the stream just behind the bushes at the entrance. He took along drink, his climbing having made him thirsty. He lowered his jaw into the water taking another drink.

Raven woke up and stood quite suddenly, nearly loosing his balance. He spotted Switchblade and leapt from the top of the cliff, rebounding off the tree so he landed in front of the cave entrance, grunting a bit as he did so. "Sulking again, huh?" he growled, a note of sympathy making its way into his tone. "Well, try not to beat yourself up for...whatever you did."

Steeltalon arrived back at where she'd left her family's skeleton's and crouched, lowering her head in silent grieving. She knew they'd died so she could live, but it hardly seemed right for them to be gone forever. "I'm sorry," she murmured to her brother's skull. "I'm so sorry...if I hadn't run, you might still be alive, Tigerstripe..." She closed her eyes and rested her chin on the soft fallen leaves, mourning the loss of her family the only way she knew how.

Blade saw Sandstorm doing something near the edge of the clearing. he seemed to be....drinking. Blade shot towards him and went through the tall grass there, and sure enough, there was a stream behind it. he gulped down the water thirstily, the cool liquid washing into his dry throat, quenching a thirst that he had fought off for 3 days so far. he kept drinking until he could drink no more, and walked off towards SwitchBlade slowly, deciding that if anyone would be comfortable talking to him, it would probably be her, being the first one to approach him regardless of his size and possible danger to her...

Darkness walked after Steeltalon, stopping just before she did, hiding himself in the undergrowth. He could see that Steeltalon was unhappy, and wanted to comfort her, but then saw the skeletons. This must be her family... Darkness thought to himself, hiding himself more, not wanting to desturb his mate. He couched in the undergrowth, watching the scene silently.

After a few minutes, Steeltalon opened her eyes and lifted her head, staring at her family's skeletons. Sorrow, anger and love battled in her scarlet eyes as she rose into a crouching position and bowed her head to her brother's skull. "One day I'll join you," she murmured. "But hopefully not for a long while." The half-mutant turned to go, running swiftly back the way she'd come.

Darkness cringed at his mate's words, feeling sorry for her. As she passed him, he got up and limped back, taking his time, so she wouldn't think he followed her. Darkness arrived at the clearing, laying down infront of the bush, laying his head down. He remained awake, thinking. Darkness had no love for his brothers and parents, not after what had happened. He loved the Onarus he grew up with, not the monster he killed. Darkness sighed, turning to stare at a nearby tree, still in deep thought.

Steeltalon arrived back at the clearing shortly before Darkness did, having the strange feeling that she'd been followed. She settled down beside the cave mouth, gazing around at everything. She tensed when she thought she saw a flicker of movement on the side of the clearing, but relaxed a moment later, telling herself she imagined it.
