SharpClaw went to tend to the only egg she had left in her nest, watching over it carefully with motherly eyes and gently nuzzling the hard surface with her snout. "Soon, my babe, you will see the world," she purred, now laying down next to the nest. Her mind wasn't only on the future hatchling, but also on her mate. She believed that he would come. Blade said so.

I continue hunting. I spot an unguarded nest of Parasaurolophus, the mother must have gone to find food. There are others, but they ignore me as long as I don't bother their nest. I grab two eggs, one in my jaws and the other in my hands, and go to my den. I begin to eat.

Crusher thought about the Baryonyx for a short while, and thought "I need to check this Bary's claims". he went to the edge of a clearing where the Suchomimus was fishing...he watched, waiting to see whether he could hear anything useful from it......

Hunter nuzzled his young daughter, then looked at his mother and growled "You never brought me a small Galli to chase!". Rampage growled "Well you never asked! if you had i would've got you something". Lightning made a growl that sounded like a laugh, and snarled "Well, if you want i'll get you a juvenile Galli, Hunter". Rampage growled "See? you'll still get your Galli!". the whole time Rox was rolling around making very funny sounding Chirps, which sounded like a series of giggles. Fury watched, cheery, but wishing he had a mate of his own.....

[at least, that's what i'd expect him to feel.....Hunter is younger than him, after all...]

Dawn had arrived once again at the raptor cave. Blade rose early from his slumber, awaiting whatevere the day had in store for him. The pack looked quite hungry, they'd probably go out on their first hunt today with him leading. He quite liked the idea of it. He was never any good at following others orders while hunting.

He decided to go down to the stream near the cave to get some water first, his throat was quite dry. The last thing he needed was to become dehydrated. He walked to the cave entance, and could smell a familiar smell. He felt his stiomahc lurch as he realised who it was, and barked back into the cave 'Scar, Jade, Exile and Rawhide are back!'

Crusher stayed in place, and watched. still, no response from the Sucho...nothing to indicate it was planning to attack Rampage...even though itr now had another Sucho with it, and they were communicating with eachother.....not one word to indicate an attack on his family. he waited for hours, but nothing at all was said that may indicate an attack on the family. he had caught this Bary out already...
annoyed, Crusher returned to the Baryonyx....he was going to give this thing one warning....if it lied to him again, it was dead...

Hunter growled "Let's introduce Rox to Blades pack....im sure she can keep up, and they need to know who's with us and who's not...". Rampage growled "Well, i have a feeling your last sibling is going to hatch soon...". Hunter nodded, and growled "I'll take Rox to the pack myself. anyone who wants to come along with me, is welcome..."

With Blade's call, the pack came out of the cave to greet the old friends. Blade watched as SharpClaw sprinted to RawHide, and they started barking together happily, and nuzzling.

Blade smiled to himself. He apporached Scar, and welcomed him back to the pack. He looked quite happy, he and Jade had obviously sorted out any differance they might have had. As Scar told the rest of the pack his adventures with Otalp, Blade wondered over to Exile who was just wondering over to the group.

"You're back safely then?" He asked, looking swiftly over Exile for any signs of a battle. "Yes," She replied happily "It was a long journey, which was potentially dangerous due to Allosaur teritory we had to cross, but nothing happened." She looked at him, cocking her head with a strange look in her eyes. "Did you miss me then?" Blade averted her strong gaze, and scratched his face with his claws. "Err...." He growled, " Well, err, yes i suppose i did" He looked back at her, to find her eyes shining.

He shook his head, "Well, i err, must go and talk to Rawhide then" He concluded, and turned her back on her, walking away, his heart rate a lot quicker than normal...

So it's clear then, Bronx thought, and let out a sigh. I'll have to become much more involved in this than I had thought. Originally, his plan had been to trick a Tyrannosaur into attacking the Suchos, make it look as though it had been done for no apparent reason, and then leave it for another fish-eater to find and use it as an excuse to begin an organized fight against the Tyrannosaurs.

This was because, as Bronx saw it, the reason that they had not yet ousted the Rexes was because they had not worked together-if enough Spinosaurs began an organized fight against any Tyrannosaur, even Crusher, they would win. However, they had refused to do so-apparently, Spinosaurs prefered a solitairy lifestyle, excluding others except for their mate from much of their life.

But as Bronx thought about it, more direct involvement would be required, he would need to guide it in the right direction to make sure that it ended successfully. But it could work, if things went well. But the first step started here, and judging by the angry look in the Tyrannosaur's eyes as he approached him, it didn't work out well...

Crusher walked towards the Baryonyx, and growled "Liars dont live long with me for some reason. and i think your one of those who is just about to meet it's end". he was very annoyed, and was on the edge of his temper....if this Bary didn't act fast, it was finished....

Hunter took Rox, and Lightning followed. they arrived at Blade's cave, and Hunter made a warning roar, letting them know that he had arrived, so that they didn't jump at Rox in surprise...

Let me guess, Bronx snarled as he stood up. The Suchos gave you no reason to believe that what I told you is true, therefore, you believe that I am lying. Even for a Tyrannosaur, that doesn't make sense. You realise that, as scavengers, Baryonyxs and fish-eaters in general tend to have a good sense of smell. Not as good as yours, but still, enough to sort one species from another. So, chances are they smelled you and knew you were there, and didn't do anything that would make them look guilty.

Bronx's tail twitched, this rex was smarter than he'd exected. Fine, but you also seem to forget that you're 80 feet long and 30 feet tall. You don't exactly blend seamlessly into the environment.

Crusher growled "If you havent noticed, the area below the trees around the clearing this Suchomimus chooses to live is very well shaded, and the trees give a green tint to anything below them. im grey, so my skin is tinted dark green when im under that. and im taller than it, so it wouldn't really recognize me as an animal, since my legs look like tree trunks from it's point of view. add to that that i was far enough away to be almost concealed by the trees around it. and most of the time, it had it's back to me."...

SharpClaw was glad that Rawhide was back with Exile and Scar. They started to chat right away after they were reunited. Rawhide was explaining to her what had happened while they were out and SharpClaw explained how Blade became the new leader of the pack.

Suddenly, Rawhide noticed that Blade was swiftly walking over to him. He gave his mate one last nuzzle before walking over to Blade, wondering what he would like to discuss. "Hello Blade," he barked. "It's good to see you again."

Meanwhile, SharpClaw went to listen to Scar about his many adventures.

Bronx let out a grunt of frustration. How did this Tyrannosaur actually manage to hide himself? There was still one last thing that he hadn't tried yet. True, but you've missed another point. It's not all that difficult to hear you coming, considering how large you are... I could hear you coming from before I could see you.

Crusher growled "when i was coming towards you, i wasnt trying to hide. when i was heading towards the Sucho, i made sure i walked as stealthily as possible. i was slow, but i was as stealthy as some raptors can be. you may be surprised by the fact that, when i want to, i can be quiet enough to sneak up on just about anything, un-noticed. dont think that i hadnt thought this through before doing it"

Accursed Tyrannosaur, Bronx thought. His claws There must be something else I can try... But he could think of nothing. The rex had won this time, and he grudgingly acknowledged it, but Bronx would not allow himself to be outsmarted again. He walked into the forest, waiting for Crusher to leave, while trying to come up with something else he could try to start a movement among the fish-eaters...

Crusher watched Bronx leave, looking annoyed. he thought The next time i catch a fish-eater lying to me, i'll kill him straight. he went back towards the nest. he had over stayed his welcome. thwe only thing protecting him now was his strength and reputation. the innitial placid mood of the other predators had gone. if it wasn't for their pure fear of him, they would have attacked him. after another few hours, Crusher arrived back at the nest, having gone into an all out run towards the nest. he needed the exercise. he arrived to see Rampage sleeping by her egg. his future son or daughter. he saw cracked eggshells, and noticed that Hunter and Lightning were gone. he wondered where, but he was too tired for now. he decided to rest by Rampage's side...

Only a minor setback, Bronx thought as he made his way to the secluded clearing where he preffered to sleep. Once I get past the initial stages of the plan, it will gain too much momentum to stop. The Tyrannosaur had out-witted him, but he had experience and a general distrust of fish-eaters.

Perhaps he could find one that was not so experienced... One that could be manipulated more easily. But he would need someone to act for him, probably one of a species that was agile and intelligent, one who could accurately carry out his plans. And no more acting directly, it made his objectives too obvious. Bronx thought about it, and decided that he'd need to find something out more about the Tyrannosaurs, something that he could use against them...

So first, I'll find a spy and gather intelligence, Bronx thought, settling down. Then, I come up with a plan and execute it, framing the rex and starting a movement in the fish-eaters for organized retaliation. Everything should go fine from there...

I finish eating my eggs, and go to the river to drink. As I guzzle down water, I see a Baryonyx, who seems to be grumbling about plans to unite the fish-eaters and defeat the current ruler of the island, the Tyrannosaurs. I freeze, trying not to get eaten.
