Adeline shrugged and smiled at James' suggested. "I would love to," she answered and got off his lap to head to the door. There was a little bounce in her step as she walked toward the door. A bright smile was visible on her face and she was humming a bright tune. When she got to the door she turned around, facing the pirate captain. Her brown eyes scanned his handsome form.

"Shea D. Dragon. i know, i know, it's a pleasure making my acquaintence" responded the young man as he carved the piece of wood in his hand, a sarcastic smirk making it's way onto his face...

James smiled and stood up, walking after Adeline, pushing the door open for her. "Ladies first" he said with a smirk...

Storm quirked her eyebrow at Shea. She rolled her eyes and returned to her drink. Shea's cockiness didn't impress her.

Adeline smirked back and curtsied before walking out on to the deck. The sea breeze and salty smell welcomed her. She scrunched her nose a little, but relaxed once she got used to it. "Ahh that's better. Much nicer too," she said with glee.

Storm sighed and took out some parchment from inside her coat and a stub of charcoal from her coat pocket. She looked around for Rainbow and smiled as she started to draw him, using her thumb to smudge a few of the lines. "Hold still handsome," she said.

Rainbow tilted his head to the side as he saw Storm drawing, raising a foot and scratching his cheek, before fluttering off, flying over Storm and landing on the bowsprit mast, almost on the edge, overlooking the water. Shea chuckled, getting off the rail and sitting on a barrel by the bow so he could carve and watch without losing his balance. Meanwhile, his father, having grown tired of the activity of the day, went below, intending to turn in early...

Storm sighed and put the parchment away until she could get another chance. Until then she started to hum to herself. "Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me," she whispered.

Shea could be heard chuckling away at the scene. "You'll never get a sketch of Rainbow if you give up so easily" he said with a smirk, Rainbow looking between the two and tilting his head at a near 90 degree angle...

James smiled as he walked up next to Adeline. "I can never seem to get enough of that salty sea air....or the spray of the waves against the hull....it's almost as good as spending time with you.....not quite, though" he said with a smirk...through the corner of his eye he spotted movement on the bow, and overheard the voice of one of the younger crew members, Shea; the cocky, rowdy, sharp tongued 18 year old son of old Flame-Tongue...

Storm rolled eyes and took another sip of rum. She searched her pockets, rummaging through bread crumbs and sugar cubes usually for the seagulls, but some were for the animals on the ship. "Who says I've given up?" she asked finally extracting a piece of pineapple and doused it in rum. "Rainbow," she called and whistled holding it up. "You want sweets come and get it."

"Mhmm...it is good," commented Adeline. She was feeling warm and content inside. She was happy to have James around her; she enjoyed talking to him and of course, spending time with him. "When are we going to make port?" she suddenly asked.

OOC: my pirate is Captain Jack Kidd (or just Kidd).
Find my profile at the bottom of the page!

Kidd was trying to find the best attack plane from his vast collection of maps, charts, books, everything and anything that would help him capture the English capital in the New World: Port Royale. His crew, on the other hand, were busy gambling their rations away in a game of dice. Even the first mate was playing. In fact, he won, saying "An' I have won the prize of an extra ration, an' I----" "The Captain's coming! You know he don't like gamblin' on his ship!" Yelled a random crew member. Kidd was fully aware of their gambling, but was to happy to keelhaul the fool who started it. "Men," Kidd declared, "Today, Port Royale will fall!" Cheers arose from the crew, soon followed by the first mate's question. "An' how we supposed ter do that? They outnumber us by teh thousan's!" Kidd expected this. "Simply put, as you aren't as well versed as I am, we will ambush their ships, weaken them until they have nearly lost, and then go in for the kill. No ship is to get in or out until I give the word, friendly or not." The first mate knew this plan, but never actually saw it in action. "Wit' all due respect, Capt'n, why would we need such a strat'gy?" Kidd was about to say something when a crew member in the crow's nest shouted the alarm. "Ship o' teh line ahead! Ship o' teh line!" Kidd dicussed his plan to capture said ship of the line. "Do I make myself clear?" The first mate quickly replied. "Yes capt'n."

"It been how long?" The blue uniformed officer asked. His arms folded as he placed his usual hat upon his head as he took another sip of water. He stood up from the chair as he looked out from the window from his private office in Port Royal, eyeing the scenery from his elevated position.
"Ehh..We dont got a definite answer sir but does it matter?" The soldier ask, trying to keep cool. Before him was none other then new famous Admiral in Port Royal himself. The soldier continued, trying to keep his cool yet felt rather calm despite the rather tense situation. The Admiral seemed to be relaxed type and in fact, seemed rather bored then irritated unlike other officers. The soldier continued, " We've secured these waters and ensured Port Royal's complete defense. There isnt a pirate around foolish enough to come in here especially with the Invincible on port. We may not have the speed but we have power and a lot of it" The officer respinded.
"I've gotten bored from guarding this island, its nice..like a small vacation but I'm a warrior soldier, I live for battle" The Admiral sighed as he proceeded to leave the room. "I'm going to my ship and remisince as usual..its not like anything really happens around these days" The Admiral simply said as he let, dismissing the officer who was brought to submit a small report. The Admiral continued to walk, a small escort of soldiers walking alongside him as they headed for the dock. Soon they would be in sight of the Invincible... the true power in the Carribean.

Kidd, seeing the port mostly defenseless, had a change of plans, telling the helmsman to steer the ship towrads the harbour. "I want as many men on the cannon as possible, and be ready for ay guns they have on their fort as well. I want no mistakes." He declared, before taking the wheel. There could be no mistakes or the ship, and Kidd's life, would be lost...

"FIRE!" Kidd yelled, causing many crew members to look around in suprise, before loading and firing the cannons, as a few crewmen started to lower the anchor. "Don't drop anchor, we'll need to move if that ship comes around!" The crewmen nodded before heading to find a cannon, and join in with the rest of the crew.

"PIRATES!" the sound echoed as the people o Port Royal began to panic, sprinting for the safest location around as soldiers throughout the area began running all over, helping the people as well as preparing for the upcoming battle. They were caught unprepared as a pirate attack on Port Royal seemed unlikely but then again, The Caribbean was dangerous . John narrowed his eyes as he felt the suddenly shock of the hearing the word but then again his shock turned to confidence as he grinned. The Admiral then turned, looking towards the nearby fort as he spotted an officer and John immediately nodded who nodded in return. Soldiers flocked to their stations and even though they were being fired upon first, the soldiers were disciplined enough to rally and make quick adjustments as several cannons fired without hesitation from the fort, the cannons swimming through the air as they homed in the pirate vessel.

John sprinted towards the port as he quickly saw his flagship being quickly prepared for battle. John ducked his head as he saw several cannon balls slam into part of the ports as fire and debris flew into the air upon impact but none the less the Admiral hurried on board his ship as he looked at the crew who were preparing for battle.

"Remove anchor and prepare for a broad side. Let's add another name to the Invincible's list" John stated confidently as the sounds of a unified cheer sounded throughout the ship. Due to the position of the docked ship, the massive first rate ship of the line was already in good position and with some time and maneuvers, the ship would be in prime position to attack the enemy vessel.

Compared to the pirate ship, The Invincible was easily far more larger and possessed far more weaponry however this came at the cost as the much larger speed had easily far less speed. Should the battle turn into a chase, the Pirates were bound to escape the massive ship who's main feature was to be ship to ship battles. [/i]

"Teh ship's comin' 'roun'!" The lookout yelled, seeing the designation. "By teh powers! It's teh Invincable!"

Kidd heard the name and froze. That ship was legendary. Remembering where he was, he turned the ship hard to port, intent on ramming the ship. "Everyone, grab your weapons, we're boarding that monster!" The crew obeyed as Kidd drew his own sword. "Let's see them defeat me this time. No one messes with a Kidd and get's off alive!"

As the ship drew closer, the crew shook with fear as the other ship prepared a broadside. "Get ready men, here it comes!" Kidd yelled, knowing the large ship couldn't possibly escape from only sixty meters away...

OOC: Opps, almost missed that. They're 10 METERS away, not 6 feet.

So they're over 180 feet away.... curses. I'm still ramming you though.

OOC: Jeez I had to delete my post after just seeing that change lol

"Snipers open fire!" John commanded as snipers on board the ship began to take aim and fire towards the enemy ship, trying to hit any pirates they could spot. While the distance was hard, they were snipers and marksmanship was their speciality. They could only fire so many times as the pirates closed in. The Admiral lowered his hand to his blade as he narrowed his eyes as soldiers on board prepared to engagement the pirates at close range.

"Steady men, let them come to us.." John urged his men as he prepared to draw his sword as the soldiers anxiously prepared to engage their sworn enemies...

The Invincible tried to move into position but it was obvious they didnt have enough time for that. Thus the massive first rate ship of the line class lined up what cannons had a shot towards the enemy and fired, the cannonballs ripping though the air as they closed in into the hull of the enemy ship...

A cannonball nearly missed Kidd and tore a large hole in the deck. "So that's what you'll do huh?"

The ships collided with a mighty crack as the beams of the smaller ship splintered, a few men killed by shrapnel, and about twenty shot down by the snipers. Kidd and his crew boarded the ship, and the battle ensued...

Kidd killed one of the snipers, then scanned the battle for the ships Captain. Seeing him, he charged forth, sword ready, to end this once and for all. Once he's dead, the enemy crew will surrender, Kidd thought, then the ship will be mine, and soon all the caribbean!

John smirked on what he believed to be Pirate Captain by his appearance to be charging towards him. "You're death shall be swift Pirate" John declared as he accepted the incoming challenge and prepared for battle. Either way, captain or not...he was just another pirate and not only was he a great tactician but he was also a master of the sword. The Admiral drew his sword as he lunged forward with his sword, attempting to use the length of his sword to piece the chest of the pirate..if he killed this pirate, the battle would be over before he knew it and the rest of the pirate crew would be doomed to die..

The British Soldiers on board charged, firing their muskets into the ranks of the incoming pirates. As soon as they fired their one shot musket, they charged themselves into battle with the Pirates with their bayonets. Several soldiers moved away, attempting to reload their muskets while the majority fought the pirates head on, thrusting and stabbing...f

Kidd parried the incoming attack then slashed for his opponent's throat, already thinking of how to survive should he be thrown off balance by a miss.

His crew were faring well, killing many of the soliders, but taking heavy casualties themselves. The first mate of the pirate crew shot a solider who wa aiming at Kidd, causing the solider to drop his gun before the first mate finished him with another shot.

John's eyes slightly widened as he saw the incoming blade coming towards him but the Admiral leaned back to avoid the incoming strike, the pirate's blade barely missing as the Admiral kicked his foe backwards with a well placed kick to the stomach of the pirate captain. Gripping his sword tightly, the Admiral stepped forward as he swung downwards with a powerful heavy strike down the middle...

The British Soldiers held their own, this was their ship of course as the British Soldiers tried to fight more unified, working together but they were spread off in their individual engagements. The British Soldiers who had clear shots took them, taking out pirates while those who fought hand in hand used their advanced training and their own personal kills to try and fend of the pirates..the entire deck of the massive first rate ship of the line was one giant battle as snipers took cover in the upper part of the ships, trying to pick off foes and help their comrades.
