James said: "argh! nearly had it!" he picked up a CLEAR bottle of rum and put his nose to it. when he was sure it was rum, he gulped a mouthful and set it down again. he said "Captain James Sparrow is my name. my friend here is Captain Yuke Blood. your standing on my ship, he's standing on my ship, and i guess his crew would nick his ship, if they weren't scared of "The Black Pearl" as they call my ship. it looks like the famous ghost ship, which keeps them in line."

She nodded. "Aye. It does have some simularity to the ghost ship." She glanced at the bottle of rum before continuing. "Anyway, James. You said you were searching for your father, Captain Jack. What happened to him? Isn't he still alive?" Her arm leaned against the arm of the chair. Interest of what happened to the notorious pirate grew inside her.

James sighed and started by retelling his story of what happened in the Tortuga tavern. "i asked the bartender if he had seen Jack Sparrow, and he said i was crazy, claiming i was jack Sparrow. a man came up behind me and said "no. that be his ghost! his body be sleeping in the stomach of the Kraken now!". i drew a gold and silver dagger with J.S carved into it, and put it at the man's neck, then said: "Jack Sparrow! where is he! tell me now, or that slithering reptilian tongue of yours will be wriggling on the floor!". the terrified man said: "Jack was a friend of mine! he was killed by the Kraken! the Black Pearl went down with 'im! it's impossible to get 'im back now, since he's probably livin' on the Flyin' Dutchman! but you may be able to find out something at the Tavern on Douwesen! that Dutch skallywag of a barkeep knows everythin' abou' everythin'!". i was a bit annoyed, but decided to calm down. I got one of my men to get some supplies loaded up onto the Black Dragon, and told the man: "if i find out your lieing, i'll come back and slit your throat with this very dagger!". the man said: "i only know that that man knows more than i do! i can't promise he'll tell you anything useful!" and ran back into the tavern. and things continued with me rescuing my friend here from a dutch prison, sinking the 2 dutch ships you saw, and meeting you. we were going to kill a man who's taken over Redmond and is hunting us, but instead, i end up nearly drinking a fish and meeting you..."

Adeline now understood. "I see now." She let out a heavy sigh as she thought about Captain Jack. "He's a wonderful pirate. Always found a way to escape from the British. Is there...any way I can help you in your search for him?" This sounded like some kind of fun adventure to her, full of dangers and a little mystery. She would like to join on it if possible.

"well, before we go to Jamaika, we need to get rid of this pretender of a Governor, so that we can get rid of any organisation the british may have. then, when the brits are confused, we can go and talk to Tia Dalma. i just hope we don't come accross the Flying Dutchman, or the Kraken, otherwise we'll be in a really big mess."

"Ok, it sounds like everything is settled then. I'll come with you." She stated this quite clearly as she stood up from her seat. "I could go for helping you out." At once, her friend, Allen spoke.

"We have a slight problem though, Adeline. The British are going to HAVE OUR HEADS once they see that we commandeered their sloop."

Adeline turned to face her first mate. Her voice held a firm tone as she spoke with him. "I told you not to worry about them. I'm sure we can loose them." She smirked. "Think of it more as....borrowing their sloop for at least a while." She turned back to James. "Are we going to start now?" She seemed very eager.

James nodded and commanded his first mate, Nathaniel to set sail to Redmond, and have the 2 Captains and Allen escorted to their respective ships. the group sailed into the Devil's throat, and dropped anchor together. the sloop would be hidden from view by the Black Dragon and Barbarian. Captain James asked Captain Yuke to stay with the ships, to make sure they didn't go off by themselves. some pirates were really crazy and would try and escape, no matter who their Captain was. Yuke sighed in disappointment, but agreed. James said "don't worry my friend. i'll slit that foolish admiral's neck twice to make sure he suffers as much as he would if you were with me.". then, he looked at Adeline, and said: "Adeline, you may want to know that by doing this you'll be branded as a pirate. you will be a wanted woman if anyone sees you with me. are you sure you want to do it?"

She nodded and stated her answer in a clear voice. "Yes. I am sure of my decision." A smile appeared on her face. "I am ready for anything, Captain James."

James said "ok. in that case, we're going through the jungle. in a few minutes, we'll reach the edge of town. i'm need you to work your magic on a couple of guards who'll be at the gates. they'll be drunk and probably want to have some company. they'll pay their attention to you, giving me the chance to slit their throats."

sonn, the two were at the city gates, with James walking through the plants and Adeline on the path. the drunk guards did as James thought they might, moving forward toward the girl. James snuck behind one, which was a fair distance behind his friend. the other drunk guard didn't notice as his friend had his throat slit and skull bashed in with the silver base of James' engraved dagger. he snuck up to the second and tapped on his shoulder, and as the drunk turned around, got hit in the face with a mug of rum that had been on the ground. the man was knocked out, and James looted him, finally ripping the man's uniform off and throwing it into a pool of mud. he joined adeline into the town and got into the garden of the Governor's home. there was a ladder put up on the wall, above which was a hole which was apparently being repaired. "too easy..." whispered James, as he lifted the ladder, angled it so that he could see through a second floor window, and climbed up, opening the window and sneaking in. Adeline stayed outside, standing watch. he looked through the room he was in, and found the ratty Admiral sleeping. James smiled and walked over to the sleeping man, and slit his throat. the man was dead in seconds. James Smiled as he looted the entire room. soon, he had a ruby bigger than a cannonball, a diamond bigger than his eye, and a bag of gold almost too heavy to lift. he dumped the Gems in the bag and threw it out the window. it landed with a clink, and he jumped down, landing on his back and raising his hand for adeline to pull. he asked her to help him lift the bag, and she agreed. as they reached the gate, they saw 10 guards run out of the Governor's mansion. James said "time to run!" and ran as fast as he could with the bag over his shoulder, and adeline's hand in his. they ran and reached the ships, and climbed aboard, getting away from the army just in time.

half an hour later, as they were well away from the shore, the Captains regathered. James asked "how was your first day as a pirate?" and waited for a response

Adeline nodded and did her best to try to work her magic on the two drunken guards. Sure enough, it worked. They were rather disrespectful to her though, as she caught their attention. She was thankful when James finally came to slit their throats.

The woman followed him to the garden. She stood guard, just as James commandered her to do. Soon he came back out, running as fast as he can, grabbing her arm. She was a little suprised at how quick he did it. She tried her best to keep up with him. Soon, they were at the ship again. Adeline responded to the Captain's question when she gathered her breath again. "It was pretty difficult, but it felt wonderful!" She smiled. "Glad you slit their throats in time. I was getting rather annoyed by those to guards."

James smiled, and untied the not in the bag, and poured the plunder on his desk when he had kicked the crew out. he said "Yuke, Adeline, get yourselves a hundred barrles of rum or a new ship. the choice is yours. with a third of what we have here, you can afford to buy a bigger, better ship and a crew to man her. what say you?"

The female pirate thought. It would be nice to get a new bigger ship. The Sloop was nice, but she could do with something a little better. One with many guns. One that can sail reasonably well. So she decided. "I might get a new ship to replace the Sloop. I could do with something a little bigger and better."

James smiled and drew his sword, and, contrary to what Adeline probably thought, brought it to the table, and split the money. After sheathing his sword again, he counted the amount he gave her, then counted the money he had left. what she had was exactly half of what James had. James split what he had in half and gave the other half to Yuke. He mentioned the gems and said "We'll save them for when we need them. uncut gems are worth more than cut ones. These would be able to buy us another ship each. Best to save them for when we need them.". Yuke nodded and James looked at Adeline, and waited for a response.

"Aye. I'll agree to that." She stood. "Now where should we stop?" She was thinking of Tortuga, but perhaps the Captain had a different idea. "Tortuga sounds like a good place for us so far in the meantime....but perhaps there's a better place out there to stop?"

"i dont think Tortuga is the best place. last time i went there they tried to kill me. we also can't expect the best quality ships there. they break apart soon after they're built." said James. he grabbed a bottle of rum, gulpped a mouthful, and continued, saying "i think Conciecao is the best place to go to now. they have good ships, and are the least suspicious to outsiders. what say you?". James picked up the rum bottle and drank another mouthful, then waited for a response.

"Sounds like a good place to go to so far. Let's head there then. Their ships are suppose to be the best....at least that's what I've heard." She walked out of the Captain's Cabin and on to the deck. Today still seemed like a beautiful one to continue sailing. The winds were blowing nicely. She looked in the sky to see no sign of a storm, so far.

with all the captains on their respective ships, they set sail for Conciecao, the crew repainting the Black Dragon to look like a merchant ship, and changing the name of the ship to Beauty, another plaque that had been made for the ship. it would help cover up its Pirate characteristics. they arrived, and James bought himself a lovely pistol, using his own money. it was a beautiful design, with a swirling engraving made into the side of the gun, and a golden double shot, side by side barrel. the wood was a dark mahogany, with a silver base, perfect for knocking people out. the trigger was also silver. it cost a small fortune, but it was worth it. he test fired it, and saw the shot went through three 2 inch thick oak boards, meaning a total of 6 inches of penetration against oak. he shuddered at the thought of what it would do to a man. he had a professional engraver put his initials in it. J.S. it would serve as a perfect emergancy weapon if his blade was knocked out of his hand. he then went to get some supplies for his gun, as well as the ship. he needed more rum. after he was finished, he headed over to the shipyard, to see what Adeline would pick for her new ship...

Adeline looked at what ships this place had to offer. All looked very nice and very beautiful. She stopped when she reached a Frigate and looked at it for some time before continuing on to the next ship. She was thinking of getting one that was both fast, yet powerful. At the moment, Adeline wasn't sure what kind of ship she wanted. "A Galleon? They sound good, but how fast do they go? A Frigate looks fairly nice and fast.....hm." Probably James could help her out spot a good looking ship. She at last spotted him approaching the yard. "Captain. There are some very nice looking ships here, but I am still not sure. I want a ship that can be both fast and powerful. What do you suggest?"

"well," said James, "a galleon usually has sufficient power to take care of just about any attacker, short of a country's navy. but it's as slow as ships get. i would definately choose a Frigate if i were you, since they are both more powerful and faster. it's a shame they don't have a corvette here, since they are faster, but slightly less powerful. it's speed more than makes up for its power, as it can often get out of a ships firing arc before they can fire. but, since it's not available, i'd choose the Frigate. it's expensive, but well worth the price, much like my pistol here." he turned around and went to the battleship at the end of the room, taking nearly half the shipyard. he was awed by it's beauty and size, but knew he'd need England's entire treatury to get it. it was also commisioned for the Portuguese navy, so he couldn't buy it even if he had the money. he saw an axe in the corner. he looked around. no one was near him. he picked it up, and swung it into the side of the massive ship, thinking that, if he couldn't have it, he may as well damage it a bit. the axe did almost nothing against the hard oak wood of which it was made. "bugger..." he said under his breath, and dropped the axe and went back to Adeline.

"Ah, ok." She walked down to look at the Frigates that were available. She was rather fond by one of them. It was one with nice white cotton sails and a nice brown coating. She was about to ask the price of the ship, when she noticed that James was looking at one of the other ships. Adeline watched him for some time. He had that look of awe when he looked at the beautiful ship. When he walked over to her side, she talked to him about him. "That does seem like a fine one over there. Looks very strong too."
