Rose slid off the older female's back and stretched forward to sniff the meat; she began to turn away, then turned back as she realized how hungry she was. She opened her jaws and started to feed.

"Don't mention it," Thorn said kindly as he lowered his body to let the pale Lili off. "I won't abandon a friend if I can help it."

Ruby gave Fatalis a concerned look, hearing and seeing his pain. "Are you okay?" she growled, burying her disappointment. Still no sign of their brother. Was it likely that both he and their father had been taken by the humans - but hadn't returned?

"Must've hit my head" hissed Fatalis in response, cringing as another spike of pain ran through his mind...

Hazel smiled, glad that Rose had started eating. When she got her energy back, she stood up, looking around her surroundings. They werent too far inland, just at the cusp of the thick jungle. That meant that she wouldnt be too far from her burrow. "Yeah...the burrow. That would be nice...and safe" She thought. Once Rose was finished, she'd get her back to the safety that the large tree roots offered back at her makeshift home.

Startled, Rhojis jerked away from the tree like he'd been stung. "Sy!" he barked, whirling around and sprinting after Howler. "Coming!" Sylicora yelped, tripping in her haste to get to her feet, losing precious split-seconds regaining her balance before she bolted after the others. Eyes locked on the ford ahead, she hoped the surge of adrenaline would let her fun fast enough to stay ahead of the Dilophosaur until they could reach safety...

Haze slowly, carefully, slid herself onto the ground, being careful to use only her arms and good leg for leverage, trying to keep her swollen ankle as still as possible. She took a moment to glance at their surroundings, watching as the green Lili did the same, padding to the mouth of the den to get a better look. "This seems like a nice spot." After a few moments she added curiously, " How long have you been here? Is Flick and Stone's pack still doing alright?"

Howler sprinted into the treeline after he crossed the river, trying his best to simply put some distance between himself and the pursuing Dilo...

Bladecrest roared again and charged across the ford after the three raptors, his jaws snapping shut inches from the tip of Sy's tail...

Gothmog let out a sigh of relief. That was a close one..... The giga continues on his way back to his territory along the borders of the wastelands.....

"It is. Water, plenty of food...." Thorn paused to make sure they hadn't been followed, and hearing no heavy footfalls, he went on, "Flick and Stone are doing great." Affection tinged the male Lili's voice as he thought of his friends. "They helped me find this spot. I actually haven't been here very long - just long enough to make sure nothing nasty is hiding nearby."

With a click of teeth the last scraps slid down Rose's throat, the blind raptor licking her lips appreciatively. "Thanks, Hazel," she growled.

"I wouldn't be surprised," Blackstripe growled, though she hadn't seen any evidence that he had. She exchanged a concerned glance with Ruby.

"Dont mention it, Rose" Hazel growled after a short moment. She was silent, but she had the younger raptor in a thoughtful gaze. She didnt know how long exactly Rose was away from her family, but Hazel assumed that she had been on her own for the entire time she was on the other island. Whether or not members of her family were taken- or brought back for that matter- was a complete mystery. However, if there was a slim chance that the raptor's family was alive on Sorna, then Hazel would do what she could to get her back to them. They would surely miss her after the months they've been seperated. "Ill ask her about it tomorrow" The brown female decided finally, before growling "Lets go back...'home'..."
She found it strange that she thought of a small burrow as home, but ever since she set off on her own, it was the closest thing to a home she had.

"Perhaps we should leave here. Go somewhere more...secluded. I'd hate to keep you in such a risky position when i'm in this condition" hissed Fatalis as he eyed the raptors around him...

The green raptor couldn't help but glance back, immediately letting out a high yelp of fright and swerving slightly, narrowly avoiding tripping over a protruding root. Pouring on every bit of speed she could muster, she shot for the ford, her brother now only seconds away from the shallow spot in the river...

The corner of Switchblade's mouth twitched into a small smile. "That's good to hear. I'm glad they avoided the ordeal we went through," she hissed, noticing Haze's curious eyes on her, the pale Lili's head cocked questioningly. "Flick and Stone are the leaders of the raptor pack we once lived with," Switchblade supplied to the other female, who acknowledged with a small nod, remembering the names from their previous conversation. She still couldn't quite get used to the idea of one of their kind living with an entire pack of raptors. She herself had never felt completely comfortable around any other species...

Bladecrest skidded to a stop for a moment, the Dilo's frill extending as his head snapped forward. A blob of black goo splattered against Sy's flank. The venom would do little if it didn't hit an exposed wound or the eyes, but hopefully it would be enough of a distraction to slow the raptor down as Bladecrest ran at her again...

The olive raptor let out a frightened yelp and staggered slightly sideways as she ran, a sharp burning sensation on her flank taking her by surprise. She swiped at it with her elbow, which also promptly starting stinging as something gooey was smeared down her arm. Chancing a backward glance, she screeched shrilly at the sight of it, this time in pure panic, and staggered badly, half-colliding with a tree as she did so. Up ahead, Rhojis was just about to sprint into the water when he glanced back at the sound of his sister's screech, eyes widening in horror. "SY!"

Bladecrest slowed down as he neared Sy, standing over her with a satisfied smirk. "Nightbane's going to enjoy his meal tonight!" The frill around Bladecrest's neck extended as he prepared to spit another glob of venom right into the stunned raptor's face...

something suddenly hit the Dilo on the side, twin kicks slamming into it's flank and knocking it aside as the attacker leapt back, landing on it's feet, a loud hiss emanating from the Raptor's throat, black claws glinting as Ripper eyed the Dilo with dangerous eyes. "Leave and I might not decide to gut you like an oversized compy" snarled the Elder...

Bladecrest staggered to the side, hissing angrily at Ripper. "Oh look! One of your own coming to save you!" the Dilo growled, his cold gaze turning from Sy to Ripper. "How poetic..."

Rhojis had skidded to a stop and turned around, intent on running back, but knowing he wouldn't make it in time, then stopping in his tracks when the Dilo was attacked. Sylicora wasted no time in using the diversion to push herself up and away from the tree, stumbling slightly as she tried desperately to get the stinging substance off her skin while putting a few yards distance between herself and the Dilo, only then looking up and realizing who had attacked it...

Rose nodded, standing to follow Hazel, wondering where 'home' was from here.

The jade green female gave a small nod. "Can you stand?" She asked, as Whitestreak gestured to their younger siblings to follow him with a sweep of one arm.

Thorn turned to take another look at their surroundings, making sure that nothing at all had followed them. "Feel free to stay as long as you like," he said to both females, looking from one to the other. "My home is your home."

"Poetic, perhaps. But it'll end in your death if you try and push things. Do the intelligent thing, hatchling. Go find easier prey" hissed Ripper firmly, splaying his claws threateningly...

Fatalis hesitated for a moment, before nodding. "I think so" he hissed as he straightened from a crouch, swaying for a moment on his feet, before getting more stable footing...

Bladecrest's eyes narrowed as he glanced around. He saw Rhojis near the trees, with Howler near him, watching intently. That was four raptors in all. Not something he could handle easily. With a snort, the Dilophosaurus turned away, heading back across the ford. "You win this round, Elder! You and your little hatchlings will get what's coming to them soon enough!"

"You will not live long enough to see it happen, Dilophosaur" hissed Ripper coldly as he saw the predator leave, practically burning for a reason to eviscerate it right there and then...
