Minene finished getting herself dressed, before slowly opening up the door out of her bedroom. her eye looked around left and right, trying to see if there was anyone there,.. Unfortunately, her bedroom was at the top of the stairs, while the entrance into the apartment was at the bottom, meaning she couldn't see Mortum. "Seems ike no one's here... but jsut in case..." Minene murmured to herself as she opened up the door completely, before slowly leaving her room and heading down the stairs...

Meta-Ridley slowly advanced over toward the strange machine, the dragon curious about it. Suddenly, the bolts holding Nightmare's faceplate together burst off one-by one, until the whole thing flew off. WHat was underneath sent MR toppling onto his back, the dragon's face twisted into one of uttermost disgust and horror. The face of Nightmare wa strangely like that of a newborn babys, only there were 6 eyes on the thing. It's face was a sickly green color, and was oozing at the edges. In the middle of the forehead was a cut, from where the javelin had hit...

Mortum hears the thumping of footsteps. "Damn! I've been discovered!" He quickly takes cover behind anything he could find, using his dark clothing to hide in the darkness...

"Would she recognise the name?" asked Gaara as he sat down, the sand forming a couch behind him overlooking the edge, the man offering a place for the girl to sit...

Lisa took the offered seat, studying her bloodied hand with detached interest, as if wondering whether the drying blood was worth licking off. "Maybe. I guess it would depend on how young she was at the time."

Tharon'Ja did not respond, simply staring at the alien blankly, clearly not knowing what it was talking about...

"Ill take that as a 'no' then" Galaak said after the long pause, standing up. In his hand, the newly constructed contraption could be seen. It was vaguely wrench like, with several other components attached to the side, some looking linke pincers, clamps and so on. The Ascatian approached the machine ahead of him, putting in a command on the wrist device as he did. Shortly after, a low whirring noise could be heard as panels around the interstellar engine started to slide out of place, revealing its inner workings. A tangle of grey and black, cables, couplings, bolts and white glowing rods, intricately put together to propel the chariot of the stars.

"I'll mention it next time I see her" said Gaara as he looked out at the spire-filled horizon of the city. to think....a few months ago he was rampaging across the city destroying anything and anyone who got in his way in his hunt for revenge. now....he found himself oddly lost. as if he had no purpose. his nature meant he could never lead a normal life. his childhood was robbed of a decent education aside from basics. he didn't even have a highschool certificate. a decent job was out of reach even to those with university degrees, so he had very little hope of getting one. though perhaps demolition. though he expected a job like that would get boring really fast. his only real friends were Ira, Yoru and now, Lisa, or Seven as she was formerly known. Well...there was Eddy, and that one really fast kid. but that was it. it made him uncomfortable to know how little worth he really was to the world. Was his whole life really a waste? a train track that had abruptly ended? Where would he go now?...

Lisa's dark eyes suddenly lit up iridescent blue-green as light struck her pupils at just the right angle to show they weren't slits but fully dilated; at the moment her eyes, though black when she wasn't enraged, using her fire, or flying, were more pupil than iris. She blinked slowly, looking up at a distant point of light in the sky. It was dimmed by the glare of the city lights, but to her enhanced vision it shone vaguely red; it might have been a planet, but she wasn't sure. She'd never made it a habit to study astronomy. She cocked her head slightly to the side, pupils glinting again. Randomly she murmured, half to herself, "Sometimes I wish things had been a bit different..."

"I know the feeling" responded Gaara simply as he contemplated his past, his present and his future...questioning his purpose for existence...

The encounter with Animal Control had last for a while now, the van pursuing the fleeing ink hound almost leisurly. It would pull up to the next alley way the dog sped into before driving off again as he bolted once more. The dog catchers rarely put up with something like that. Most strays were oblivious to dog catchers, and those that did run would find themselves at the edge of a busy road and stop there. A careful approach so as to not startle the panicked creatures was all it took at that point to catch them. This one was different. It ran across streets with no fear. On more than one occasion did a car come to a screeching halt a few feet away from the dog, the vehicles behind barely stopping in time to avoid rear ending it and each other. It was a danger on the streets and needed to be caught. If it didnt cause an accident it would get itself killed!

The dog entered one more alley, but this one was a dead end; a tall dark red brick wall closing off the way. Not too long after, the van pulled up to block off the exit. Finally, the two officers could catch the deranged animal. Suspecting it may be rabbid, they left the vehicle wearing black leather gloves along with their light blue uniforms and clamps that were at the end of silver rods the length of a broom stick. They carefully started down the alleyway, looking from side to side. They peeked behind cardboard boxes and discarded crates as they tried to locate the dog, but it was nowhere to be found. "What the- it couldnt have disappeared!" One of them exclaimed. "No way could it have gotten around us without being spotted!" The other added, prodding a box with the metal rod. "Where could it be hiding?" They turned away from the brick wall, one starting to look in the boxes themselves to make sure it wasnt hiding. "Ill go swing the van around the block, make sure it didnt give us the slip" The other said, walking out of the alley and getting back into the van. Silently, JoJo scaled the wall, several small tendrils spreading out from his paws, as well as two thicker tendrils arcing out from his back, his body now a blend of his disguise and his natrual form; patches of brown and black that retained the look of his coat hung onto his inky body in various places. The past and present version of the same creature blended together...
