Spottednose's movement woke Streamflower, Darkflower and Lightfrost, who yawned and stretched before padding out of the den. Lightfrost glanced at Streamflower, but didn't speak as he brushed past her. The white she-cat shrugged it off and walked out of the warrior's den, digging her claws into the ground as she arched her back in a luxurious stretch. Her belly fur brushed the grround for a few moments before she stood and looked around.

Lightfrost snagged a vole on one claw and tossed the fresh-kill into the air, catching it in his jaws. He padded over to his usual place and settled down, starting to eat. As he chewed a mouthful of vole, he thought about recent events and how nothing he did seemed to get Streamflower's attention. What was he doing wrong?
Streamflower yawned again, licking a paw and drawing it two or three times over one ear, repeating the process with her other paw. She started to smooth out her chest fur, her head bobbing up and down in a steady rythym.

Spottednose, in an effort to get rid of his boredom, rolled on his back, looking into Streamflower's face and grinned. He meowed, "Hellooo!"

Loneclaw stopped swiping the tree, hardly doing anyrhing to it. "Stupid tree scares Loneclaw it does." He padded away from the tree, talking to the ground "you no scare Loneclaw, Loneclaw kill you if you do"

Streamflower looked up and smiled. "Morning, Spottednose," she meowed. She started washing her paws, knowing that soon enough she'd be dirty again. Her wounds had scabbed over in the night and would heal nicely.

ShadowStripe opened his eyes and stared up at the sky, wondering if there was anything he could do at all. He layed on the ground, pawing the air out of boredom...

ShadowStripe noticed Darkstorm but took no notice of her. He was hungry and started to follow the scent of a squirrel, leading up a tree. He climbed up the tree and the squirrel dashed off the tree and passed Darkstorm. He cursed and dug his back claws into a thick branch and dropped himself, giving chase...

Darkstorm ignored the squirrel, beginning to stalk a frog. Her silence was broken only by the chittering of the fleeing squirrel, and the pounding of Shadowstripe's paws as he gave chase. Slowly, carefully, she drew herself forward one paw at a time, eyes unblinking. The frog hadn't yet noticed her aproach, but it was definately wary of the noises around it.

ShadowStripe was gaining and started to leap onto a tree before leaping on to another, leaping from one tree to another on the opposite side trying to confuse the squirrel. Successfully he leaped again inching closer to the terrifyed squirrel...

Darkstorm remained still for a heartbeat...then she pounced, surprising the frog. It leaped away, Darkstorm slipping into a marshy puddle and standing, glaring at where the frog had just been. Fox dung! I should've been faster, she thought, her upper lip twitching as though she was going to snarl.

ShadowStripe leaped on the squirrel, killing it with the force. Triumphant, he bounded from tree to tree, heading back to camp he passed an unsuccessful Darkstorm.

Shaking some of the water from her fur, Darkstorm sighed and started back to camp. Just great, she thought bitterly. I'm dripping wet with nothing to show for it...just a failed hunt and another lecture from the Clan leader.

ShadowStripe stopped snickering and hissed back "Why would there be?" Still sitting behind the bush with a skeletonized squirrel. He threw the bones over the bush. The white bones clattering in front of Darkstorm as ShadowStripe thought of what to say.
