Night yawned, stretching out on a sun-warmed rock and resting her head on her forepaws. The sun was only overhead, but the female wolf was tired and willing to take a nap.

Two dark shapes were perched side by side on the branch of an old, half dead tree at the outer edge of the forest. "Do you see anything yet?" chirped the first, a gray male Goshawk. His mate answered in a screechy chirp, "Nothing. It's as if all the voles have vanished." The two birds then spread their wings and leapt from the branch, flapping just enough to climb over the treetops, and skimming over the branches on the way back to their tree.

azure eye had now finished patrolling half of his terriotry and the only areas he needed to check were the southwest and northwest areas. the white tiger walked to the northwest and arrived in the area after twenty minutes of walking. he began to walk quietly so that he would have a higher chance of hearing the sounds of any creatures that might be hiding nearby. the brown striped carnivore sniffed the air and couldn't smell any scents that he didn't recognize. azure eye was satisfied with this and finished checking the northwestern section of his. the only area left to check was the southwestern area of the terriotry and that could wait for another hour.

Blood Scar continued his patrol, swimming back in the water, and crusing at a some what fast speed. The reptile, growled lowly, bubbles forming at surface at the water. The Crocodile was chasing down a younger crocodile. Normally they would pursue slowly and stop when they lost track of it but Blood Scar intended on it to be food...

The two hawks soon arrived at their home, a tall, leafy tree at the southern end of their territory. It was the largest tree in the sparser area of the forest, it's highest branches easily visible above the other trees. The hawks flared their wings, losing speed, and extended their talons to catch onto the branch. They ruffled their feathers and scooted to the outer end of the branch, glancing around the territory for any sign of food. After almost an hour, the brown hawk, Streak, finally sighed and scooted close to the tree trunk, resting her head on the rough bark. Graytalon continued to scan the ground, hoping to catch a glimps of movement. After another half hour, he walked to the tree trunk and ran his beak through Streak's head feathers. "We'll find food soon," he chirped. Streak, who hadn't eaten in days, simply nodded. "I hope you're right."

Blood Scar lost track of the smaller croc but saw a scared baby zebra run into the river without looking. Blood Scar, quickly slammed shut his jaws on the young animal, crushing its frail body in its powerful jaws. Suddenly a young cheetah, stopped by the edge of the river, noticing the blood in the water, realizing the prey it was pursuing was dead. Blood Scar came out of the water, roaring loudly causing the Cheethah to back off. The crocodile then went back into the water to finish eating of its prey...

Yes... Tyretros growled, stopping his movements, now a safe distance from the lion. He eyed it wearily, not sure if it was thinking of him as prey, or acting friendly. Tyretros tensed slightly, waiting to see what the lion would do...

Maka delivered the final blow to the moose. They ate their fill and ran back to the den. The Young Ones were filled with joy. Their first hunt! A sucess.
"Nice Job,Young Ones" Maka growled to them "Especially you,Runt"

Runt, the smallest of Swift's litter, looked up at Maka. "Me? I was kicked back against a tree...I just stood back"
"But atleast you trie hard. Most Runts don't even get to go on hunts...your one of the very few"

Blood Scar woke up from his sleep... he had being eaten smaller meals lately and it was now to eat something alot bigger. The massive crocodile moved through his massive water territory, stopping on the most popular part of the river. Many animals drank and swam across... Blood Scar froze looking like a log to everything else... preparing to ambush anything that was going for a drink.

azure eye had returned to the center his terriotry, needing a drink from the lake there that he knew was free of crocodiles as long as he could remember. the tiger knew better than to drink from a river because he remembered how a crocodile had nearly managed to attack him. he lowered his head close to the water and began to use his tounge to lap up the into his throat, enjoying the feeling. azure eye was satisfied in five minutes and then, he entered the lake, his powerful legs allowing him to swim through the water. he was bored for now and swimming would give him something to do.

Nightbane grunted, finally starting to seriously think. how am i going to do this in a way that would make him agree? he thought. finally, giving up on any interesting offer for the lion, he growled "That makes two of us then. would you mind having a hand hunting? we could get better meals and hold off more troublesome problems if we worked together, don't you agree?". his tail swayed from side to side slowly, as the lion stretched one of his paws out, loosening up the stiff joints and flexing his claws, before relaxing again, and looked at the Maneless Lion in front of him, waiting for an answer...

The King Cheetah jumped off the rock casually, feeling the need to hunt, he walked a few metres closer towards the herd, scanning the area, trying to pick an easy, if not filling target to satisfy his hunger. Kita circled a little, choosing a small part of the herd to pick out his target from...

Isoke stopped her grazing and trotted away to join the small group of colts and fillies once again. She eyed the colt she play fought with earlier and walke over to him. Her tail was flicking back and forth as she stopped and stared at him. "Are you up for another scruffle," she nickered and waited patiently for his answer.

The zebra colt only snorted and eyed her suspiciously. "What do you mean? All you will do is stop if I bite you too hard." He snorted and walked away from the filly, but she only nipped him on the flank and smirked.

"Now, try to catch me," she whinnied as she ran away from him, bucking every once in a while, having fun.

Tyretros thought for a moment, not sure if the lion was to be trusted. He scented the air, smelling no other of it's kind on the lion, making it also a loner, as it said. Right... Tyretros growled finally, still slightly nervous. I could use some help... he grunted, the gazzel he had eaten a few moments ago the only realy meal he's had in a good while.

Kita, now hidden in the grass, the black marks on is back barely visible, stalked closer, he picked out a young zebra, and looked at the area around it. Hardly anything there. Just perfect for him to hunt. He chose the right moment carefully and sprinted out at 45mph, sending the whole herd into a panic.

Blood Scar continued swimming to the river, taking a new path... after a few minutes of swimming through Blood Scar found himself in some massive lake, they were numerous fish around... The massive crocodile snatched one in its jaws and continued swimming through, exploring the new area...

Graytalon hopped back to the tip of the branch, now more determined than ever to find prey. But for the last few weeks, it seemed as if all the smaller animals were disappearing. Their territory was running out of food. "I might have to look outside our territory," the hawk murmured, glancing at his tired, bedraggled mate. The brown hawk turned to stare at Graytalon with a worried glimmer in her golden eyes. She opened her beak to protest, but decided against it, finally murmuring, "Be careful." The gray goshawk nodded and spread his wings, flapping twice and lifting off from the branch without another word. With one last backward glance at the tree that had been his home for years, he gained altitude and turned north, heading for what he hoped would be better hunting grounds.

Isoke suddenly noticed the herd go into a big panic. Blurs of black and white went stampeding away. The young zebra wondered what was wrong and started to go in the direction of the herd. It was then that she caught scent of a cheetah, and went into a panic. She whinnied over to the colt that was chasing her earlier to keep up, but he was slowly starting to fall behind. "Keep up, just try to," she whinnied and tried to gallop as fast as possible to keep up with the herd of panicking mares, fillies, and colts. The lead zebra stallion was somewhere in the back, making sure that they were all keeping up.

When the sun was finally too hot to bear, Night slipped into her small cave and stared out of the opening in the rock. How many years has it been since I was left here? she wondered, watching a field mouse scurry past. Too many...
