The Collectors had quickly retreated back to their ship, the village already completely purged of inhabitants. They were preparing to take off, ready to begin their experimentation...

OOM-6 was glad that he had received a straightforward answer from the new arrivals, its psychological impact lost on the droid. The TGDA fleet over Geonosis (the second largest, in fact) was mobilized and read for combat, the Brawler-class ship Vanquisher acting as an impromptu flagship until the Malevolence arrived...

Grievous' Commando droids eventually recovered from the attack, the combination of their stolen uniforms and tough armored bodies preventing any major damage. Removing the uniforms, they approached Grievous, who was staring down at the ashes of the former Collector. "General, awaiting orders," 343 cut in. The cyborg looked up at the droid, then stated flatly, "Kill the slaves. They're better off dead than left on this station." 343 nodded, ignoring the cries of terror from the bound slaves, which was quickly cut off by a hail of gunfire from the Commandos. Grievous turned his back on the grim spectacle, pulling out a holoprojector. A Tactical Droid appeared over the projector, his hands folded politely in front of him. "Yes, general?" "TV-94, what is the status of the ship?" "We are still docked with the station. Arsskia has not ventured beyond speaking to you upon arrival." "Good. We are on our way back. Prep the ship for launch." "Of course, General." Grievous put the projector away, then turned to the Commandos. "Come, we have research to do..."

The super battle droids advanced a bit more, but, seeing the massive ship, knew they did not have the armaments to damage to craft. Even so, they opened fire with what they had....

The fleet continued its advance on the TGDA planet, uncaring of the fleet that was before them. A message was sent out to the fleet, and its pseudo-flagship, Vanquisher.

The Collector Cruiser was far too large to even be affected by the blasters of the Supers, and soon enough, a massive explosive and plume of flame announced the ignition of the cruiser's powerful rocket thruster, used specifically for overpowering the force of gravity on a planet's surface. As the Cruiser rose into the air like a gigantic ICBM, the flame in its wake destroying the surrounding jungle as it attempted to exit the atmosphere...

"That is not possible," OOM-6 replied. "The TGDA is currently investigating a great threat to galactic peace. We do not have time to barter with newcomers."

The concussive force of the igniting rockets toppled many of the droids off their feet, and the saurian commander could only watch as his beloved home planet's jungle was roasted with ease by the exiting ship. Seeing the monumental power of the enemy, but havign a victory nonetheless, the commander and the drodis march back to the main city to alert Fhlr-Kahn of their success and of their enemy...

The mothership replied to the fleet.

"Then prepare to be conquered."

With that, the fleet began to open fire on the enemy ships.....

The Collector Cruiser vanished into Hyperspace upon exiting the atmosphere. If their new prototypes proved useful, however, the Collectors would soon return, and not just for one village this time...

The TGDA fleet returned fire instantly, their weapons already charged and prepared by the time the enemy ships opened fire. The Vanquisher fired its superlaser, focusing the deadly beam on the Mothership...

The saurian commander continued his march back with his troop, battered but victorious...

The smaller fighters fired upon the TGDA enemies with suprisingly powerful green bolts of energy. The Mothership, amazingly, amanges to fight off the powerful weapon, thanks to its heavy shielding, but slowly begins to drift away as it fired its own superlaser, hoping that the laser woudl distract the opposing shiplong enough for the shields to recharge. In the meantime. Fighters and carriers fought their way through the enemy fleet....

Many of the approaching enemy ships were intercepted by by the TGDA's fleet's massive flocks of Vulture Droids and Tri-Fighters, who acted both as an effective counterattack against the fighters, as well as shields for the capital ships, protecting them from enemy fire. After all, there were plenty more where that came from. The fleet let the Mothership fall back for a moment, focusing primarily on its far more numerous escort. If the Mothership returned, however, the more powerful ships would likely focus all their fire on it when it got within firing range. And when the Malevolence arrived, it would only speed things up...
