In a grassland that stretches far and wide a herd of Aptonoth were grazing themselves on the green tender shoots that had grown in the ashes of the latest bush fire. One male Aptonoth, raises his head up high to look for the highest congregation of untouched shoots, spots a particularly green patch and stealthily(for an Aptonoth anyway)sneaks away from the herd so not to alert them of this feast and guarantee he would have the shoots all to himself. As the herbivore gorged itself on this buffet of low growing vegetation he was completely unaware that he was being watched
A bark-like noise cuts quickly through the grassland, over in almost an instant but it sends ripples through the more senior members of the lone Aptonoth's herd, who start to corral the all the younger members of the herd into a protective circle. All that is except for the lone
Aptonoth who was still busy feasting on the shoots,he had never heard this noise before and, from the sound of it the call's owner was a small animal, far from a threat.Alone perhaps, but the owner of that call was far from alone
Out of the tall yellow dry grass reptilian eyes watched the lone Aptonoth intently, through a series of small noises and gestures a pack of Jaggi were preparing to spring a trap on the male Aptonoth.......
