The area atop the mountain cleared, smaller creatures like blango and giaprey scattering, while popo flee to the safety of the lower regions. Grond swoops down from over the mountain range, landing upon the icy area. The dried blood where his scar lay glistened with a strange, ethereal malice, the monstrous tigrex scanning the area like the king of his realm..............

"thanks" jacob replied and started to walk with Midori " is that the lodroth splashhammer, i prefer the iron impact hammer but i heard your hammer is really powerful".

Midori pulled her hammer off her back with both hands, the Royal Ludroth skin on it beginning to be covered in snow. "Yeah, this is the Ludroth Splashhammer... Not the msot powerful hammer out there, but my personal favorite." the girl responded as she neared the gate, a young man of about 23 standing guard beside the gate...

Jacob walked up to the older man " excuse us we're on our way to kill a Tigrex so could you move please" and with that the man stepped aside and jacob gestured midori to go ahead of him.

The door to the Guild Hall opened, a man clad in hybridised Yamatsukami/Silver Rathalos armour walking in, the orange and blue sheath of a thin long sword on his back, two crossed straps going across his chest, lined with pockets, the man sitting on a bench, ordering a drink, ignoring the surrounding events, paying the barmaid and taking a sip once he'd recieved the drink, before proceeding to think about the previous hunt....the Hell Binder was a powerful foe...looking at it was enough to tell him that much. was his current equipment adequate for the job? he somehow didn't think so. considering his options prior to the hunt...he could rig his armour up with reinforced plates...the armory could certainly supply him with upgrades like that....but the added weight would probably make avoiding the blows all together more difficult...and considering what he'd witnessed earlier, he had doubts he'd be able to withstand many blows against it. his alternative was to improve his Long Sword....he'd require a Khezu and a Tigrex before he could upgrade it...the sword's requirements were hardly what one would call simple...he'd need elders of both...younger ones would likely not have the body parts in the kind of maturity and quality he'd require...then there was the issue of the Wyvern's flight. Rathalos in particular had well armoured wings for their class of Wyvern, and Silver Rathalos were the most mature and heavily armoured of the species...

Midori followed Jacob uot past the gate and out of the village, large snowdrifts surrounding the area, a pair of Popo, grazing on a field of lichen while being chainedto a large, dead tree, a large sled also tied to both massive beasts by rope, the sled large enough, and strong enough, to hold a dead Alateron on, waiting for the girl, the girl climbed onto the sled, before brushing off the snow on it, revealing lots of rope, a few whetstones, and some nails... "THis is going to be our main method of transportation to where the Tigrex was last spotted..." Midori said, looking back at Jacob...

"ok" jacob said as he got on the sled and waited for the popos to start up the mountain

Grond decides to rest for a little while, the tigrex lying down in the snow......

Midori grabbed the chain, before inserting a small key into an open hole in it, the chain fell apart in that area, the Popo's ebgan to head off into the snow drifts, pulling the sled with them, Midori began to guide the Popo's toward the location where the Tigrex was last sighted by villagers, toward a large gorge area...

Jacob yawned " could you wake me when we get there or something attacks" not waiting for a answer he rolled over and soon began to snore.

Popo and antlekas watch as the sled apsses by under them, knowing that if they leave the hunters alone, trouble probably won't come their way.......

Grond awakens, a smell entering his nose. His eyes narrow angrily.

"Hunters......" the tigrex snarls.

The tigrex flies up and begins to head towards the gorge..........

14 minutes later, the Popos made it to the entryway to the gorge, the sides of the valley being steep and high, gonig up to as far up as the eye can see. By now, the snow was comnig down as heavily as it could get, as Midori punched Jacob in the shoulder to wake him up. "We're here." Midori said as she began to walk into the valley, her hands digging into the large bag she carried over her shoulder, next to the hammer...

"ok" Jacob yawned as he began to follow the girl wondering what she was looking for in her bag.

A black shape flies over the area the hunters stand in, the shape panicing the herbivores in the area, causing them to flee, the popos on their sled looking fearful.......

Midori looked back at the popo's, noticing that they were spooked. "Dangit... This doesn't leave us with much time to prepare..." Midori moaned, the girl pulled out what looked like a normal sphere, but was actually a Pitfall trap. The girl dug into the snow, before placing the sphere nito it, the sphere quickly began to secrete a special liquid from itself, making the ground very unstable around it, Midori waled around the edge of where she calculated the Pitfall Trap's effects to be. 'Jacob, follow me... The Popo's are safe thanks to that trap... Tigrex takes one step toward them, it's gonig to be stuck in the ground for quite some time..."

The ominous shape of a tigrex begins to descend form the heavens no more than 100 feet away, the beast roaring loudly, having not noticed the two hunters yet........

"ok" Jacob said to midori and followed her.

"It appears as though our target's already here..." Midori wispered, just loud enough for Jacob to hear, the girl looknig around before spotting a small cave in the side of one of the gorge walls. This was jsut what she needed... If she and Jacob could hide in the cave, hopefully the Tigrex would go after the Popo's, get stuck in the Pitfall trap, which would give Midori and Jacob some time to hopefully knock it out... And if they could do that and relocate the beast without killing it, all the better... Midori grabbed jacob by the hand and dashed into the cave, hoping that her plan would work...

Jacob ran with midori and hid in the cave hoping the the tigrex didnt kill the popo's because without them they would'nt be able to relocate the creature.

Grond sniffs the air, drool falling from his maw before he Turns to the cave where the hunters had run. Seeing nothing, Grond charges full speed ahead towards the popos, sending the herbivores bolting in fear..........
