Charles stopped, looking back at Alec, not exactly sure where they needed to go to reach the police station. He began feeling more and more paranoid without the mop...even such a useless makeshift weapon was useful in the hell on earth they lived in...

Alec moved past Charles, motioning for him to follow. He felt relief. The nocturnals are now preoccupied with the new hive, so they wouldnt be a problem for a while. The regular zombies would be more of a challenge since Alec didnt have that much knowledge about their behaviors..

Charles followed after Alec, glancing around the alley for any useful materials, specifically another weapon...

About ten minutes later, Alec and Charles reached the station that was in reletivly good shape. There werent that much zombies, though a few scattered groups here and there were spotted, and the survivors simply hid behind the ruined vehicles on the streets, their scents disguised by the oil that was spilled on the road now fermenting and giving off a strong smell.

Alec whispered "Well, today I count our selves the luckiest guys on the planet" He tightened his grip on the gun. "Well, we're gonna find out if that luck's beginning to run out or not..." he said as he walked up to the station. The building was blue bricked, two stories tall and had a triangular roof.

Charles said nothing, not about to see any humor in the dangerous situation. They were relatively lucky so far...but he could feel that their luck was about to run out. Nonetheless, Charles followed Alec toward the building, clutching a small jagged plank of wood he found on their journey to the station...

A Hunter swung around the corner of the roof of the building Charles and Alec were heading towards, hanging on to the top with one hand, watching the two humans below hungrily...

above the building, in the shadows, a predator lurked, eying them from a distance, stalking the humans and deciding on their degree of lethality...while the Reaper could, like it's creator, feed on any creature, the living generally had more intact protein content than their undead counterparts. and thus were a better target. of course, if a larger undead target were to turn up...it'd immediately gain priority...

Alec heard a dull thump, looking up slowly too see an undead hanging from the gutter. "Jesus!" Alex said, raising his gun, firing off 3 shots, one hitting it's shoulder, the other it's neck and the last slamming into the side of the zombie's face

The Hunter lost its grip, sliding down the roof for a moment, but it managed to dig its sharp claws into the tiles and stop its descent. Letting out a blood-chilling shriek, the Hunter leaped into the air, crashing down on Alec and raising its claws, about to flay his face into ribbons...

"Get off of me!" Alec yelled, kicking his knees in the zombies back, as well as shooting the undead creature, having kept his grip on the gun when he fell, and luckilly, the zombie hit him in the middle of his body, unable to pin his arms down

The Hunter rolled to the side, staggering to its feet, before sprinting away, planning to attack again later.

Awoken by a loud shriek in the distance,The Slasher slowly stood up,walked out of the closet, and jumped out of the window. After waiting for a few seconds,he began to run in the direction the sound came from.

Charles stood, stunned, staring at where the zombie had disappeared, holding the plank of wood tight. "That was...strange." he said after a few moments of silence, helping Alec to his feet...

The Hunter leaped out of the darkness, scuttling along the wall of the blue-bricked building, disappearing around the corner and letting out a chilling hiss.

Charles followed, eyes squinting as he tried to look through the windows of the station, trying to spot any more threats they could not immediately see...

After finally reaching his destination,The Slasher noticed two humans preparing to enter the building. After thinking for a second,The Slasher ran around to the back of the building and jumped slightly and dug his claws into the wall. After planting his feet on the side of the wall,he pushed himself up and jumped through the window...

the blackish creature continued to eye the humans from above, deciding to play it safe and remain in the shadows until he could determine for sure where they were going...judging by what he'd seen, he'd probably get an even bigger prize by hunting one of the humans' pursuers...

"Damned survivors" mumbled Jose as he searched the drawers of one of the higher ranking Police Officers' desks. searching the weapons storage produced nothing, all the weapons most likely having been taken by survivors earlier on. he was left with only a glock with 3 and a half clips of spare ammo, not counting the ammunition already in the gun. aside from that, he had a sledge hammer, which, while heavy, served it's purpose well when dealing with the shufflers. but apart from a rope, a few matches, a lockpick and a small utility axe, he had almost nothing to protect him from anything else...

"One left. Rubber bands and the air freshener..." Charles replied, frowning. It was an effective maneuver, but such canisters weren't exactly common. Nonetheless, he pulled out the air freshener canister, wrapped a rubber band around it, and hurled it through the door...
