finding only 3 clips of ammo for his glock, Jose cursed. apparently whoever owned the gun these clips were for had forgotten them in a panic, as many had done. it was a miracle however that nobody else had pilfered them before he got there. not being one to complain, he stuffed them into his urban camouflage, cargo pant pockets, and began looking for something else. some other form of protection. the police were bound to have something. something other than a baton and handgun ammo...he had a sledge for slower targets and getting through weak walls and similar obstacles. the baton wouldn't be a bad idea for faster moving enemies...though chances are by the time they got into that range, he'd be dead...still, best not to dwell on negative thoughts. as he moved onto another desk, he heard something. freezing and listening carefully, he heard muffled voices. the prospect of meeting other survivors overwhelmed him. there was still someone alive! he carefully moved towards the exit to the offices to find whoever it was he heard...
Meanwhile, a low moaning roar could be heard out in the street as a window was smashed, a large, grosely deformed creature swung out at Nemesis. it had a 5th limb jutting out of it's spine, and swung wildly, it's blade tipped edge trying to hit the monster. Nemesis, contrary to his slow appearance, dodged sideways as the blade swung down from above, not to avoid death but rather to take advantage of the still recovering creature as it raised it's blade again, the Nemesis landing a heavy punch in the creature's gut, the blow literally knocking the creature, which was almost Nemesis' size, off it's feet, and slamming into a knocked over wooden table, the table being smashed to pieces as the creature stumbled back, the bladed limb swinging wildly and lodging itself in a metal desk. as it jerked to get free, Nemesis' throaty roar filled the air, the monster running forward and swinging his arm down onto the creature, the weight of it flooring the 5 limbed monster instantly, a loud snap marking the 5th limb had been broken by the blow. Nemesis reached down and raised the creature up again, a purple and yellow liquid-like substance bubbling from one of his palms as he thrust forward, a long, spear-like purple and red tentacle ripping into the creature's skull and ripping it apart, the beast falling to the floor at the Nemesis' feet. Nemesis crouched down low, ripping apart the beast as he began to feed, the need to sustain his powerful body temporarily keeping him occupied. he already detected 3 humans nearby, but knew the hassle and time spent trying to get ahold of them would make it much less beneficial to him than killing this lumbering, poorly mutated creature and feeding off it instead. but that didn't mean he had forgotten the humans...

"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
