Species: Hunter
Age: Infected in late 20's
Description: Wears a gray hoodie, but otherwise looks like a normal zombie. However, the Hunter's nails are especially long and sharp for a zombie's.
Unique Traits: The Hunter is incredibly agile, able to leap very long distances and pin prey to the ground, clawing and biting viciously. However, the Hunter isn't much tougher than most zombies, and can be easily killed. If you aren't hit first, that is.
History: Like most zombies, no one knows how the Hunter got the mutations that it did. Attacks by the creature were blamed by large cats escaped from city zoos at first, but eventually much more detailed, chilling stories trickled in, giving the mutated zombie its frightening nickname.

Species: Gremlin
Age: Unknown
Description: Only around 4 feet tall, skinny, pale-skinned, with wide yellow eyes, sharp claws, a mouth full of pointed teeth, and wide, flaring ears on the side of its head. The Gremlin wears no clothes.
Unique Traits: Incredibly agile and fast, able to jump from spot to spot with ease. The Gremlin is capable of camouflaging itself in any environment, as its skin can change color. Though the Gremlin is highly aggressive and will attack anything near it, the creature rarely feeds on humans, preferring smaller prey. However, it won't hesitate to kill humans in its way.

Alec had retreated to a fairly large room with a counter that ran across the back wall, cupboards over that and 10 rows of desks out of 3 columns. The chalk board was a dry erase board and there were red, blue and green markers at the base of it. Alec went up to the board and diagrammed, something he developed quite recently. He used to be unerved by the hive across the street. When he noticed they kept away from the school, he wanted to know why. The question is still unanswered, but Alec realized why the nocturnals seemed to control the few blocks around. For one, they are easilly woken, so the waves of stumblers that used to surround the school were long slaughtered and even canabalized by the nocturnals. Second, they were best adapted for night life, covering large distances in the 5 hours or so that majority of the hive went out in hunt. Alec had drown retangles, a red one to represent the school, a blue one to represent the hive and a green line representing the path the nocturnals ussually took. They clearly gave the school a wide girth. He had an old subway map folded up in his side pocket and he planned to use that as a way to escape the city, but that was scrapped for the fact the subways would be crawling with the stumblers, or the dark craving nocturnals. Alec muttered as he thought of a plan. He thought of making a dash for a police station 8 blocks down the street. He'd discuss it with Charles later...

Species: Myan Prayer
Age: Infected at 42 years old
Description:
Appearence
About 6'2"
Smells like a rotting corpse.
Has a rag tied around its eyes, having been blind before infection.

Unique Traits: The Myan Prayer is much more athletic than normal zombies and can jump high into the air (its main form of movement) its claws and large scythes are its main weapons, used for slashing and tearing through flesh. The Prayer's long tongue can shoot out at distances of up to 6 metres and is very strong. The barb at its tip will infect any wound it creates. It won't zombify victims, but without swift medical attention, amputation may be the only hope.
The Myan Prayer gets its name from how it harvests energy. Rather than feeding off humans, the Myan Prayer absorbs Sunlight, similar to plants. During the day time it will often perch on rooftops as if praying, catching the suns rays and waiting till night time to hunt and satiate the instinct driving it to kill. Photosynthesis can only keep the Prayer alive. In order to grow, it needs to kill, sometimes turning on the normal zombies, though naturally avoiding them.
While the Myan Prayer looks blind, it has eyes behind the rag, having grown back when the poor soul was infected. They aren't normal eyes, however, and give off a faint purple glow, usually only visible in the dark. These eyes are highly effective at seeing during the night, but have trouble identifying foes in well lit areas. For this, it usually makes a clicking sound with its mandibles during the day time, using echoes to locate its prey.

The Myan Prayer is quite noisy due to its athletic build and its claws often leave large gouges in the ground. To compensate, the Prayer leaps around as opposed to walking, landing far from its original position with each jump, through this, it makes it difficult for its prey to locate it before its too late.

(I thought we already established the thing wasn't found in a gun store. I thought we established it was in someone's house. When you loot, you look around a house and try to find useful equipment. Maybe someone had a shotgun, hid there ammo in a dresser or shoe, he opens it, takes it. If you look in houses with no one there, maybe every 50 or so will have ammo. It's not the rarest thing on the planet. And I never said it was easy for looting. And he only looted because he was probably running low on supplies. You either go out, or you starve to death. And if going outside is like suicide, then are you talking about magically summoning items inside a house? You can't have a situation where you just kill zombies that attack your outpost. You've got to get supplies.)

Taban ran toward the open door, and saw that the mob turning. They looked at him, moaning, slowly walking toward him.
Dammit.
He ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction, adrenaline pumping through him as he went toward his barricaded home. He thought it was right, second left, and straight. But he wasn't entirely sure. He was mainly focused on getting out alive. He ran fast, several zombies getting close to him. He only attacked the ones directly in his way. He ran forward, the way he thought was home. He saw the jaws of one snap right next to him. He hit it hard and kept running. Then, a sprinter was inches away from grabbing him. Almost out of instinct, he hit it hard across the torso, and it was pushed back, and it eventually fell, squirming, soon to get up. Then, through all desperation, he saw his barricade. He ran fast toward it, seeing several shufflers around the area, coming toward him. He pulled open the second crowbar on the barricade which acted as a wedge, ran through, then closed it. He stopped for breath. His barricade was basically two wooden plank structures on a hinge, with a crowbar as the lock. It was simple, but it did the job. But tonight would be different. If that horde was still after him, he would have a lot of hell to deal with...

OOC: My point was that either he found a random gun shop, which would be unrealistic, or he would find it in seemingly no where. And, this is a zombie apocalypse, if someone had a shotgun and ammo, why the hell wouldn't they use it? And once again, you started your FIRST POST in the RPG with him finding ammo, whats next, guns? A tank? Maybe a nuke? And once again, I know people need supplies, but by your first post, you made it sound like a walk in the park that he does every day, and always seems to find something. You can't expect people to automatically know what you meant if you say "HIS LOOT TODAY WAS GOOD". Once again, be f*cking realistic, and CLEAR.

While Alec went into a separate room, Charles continued to walk along the halls, eventually coming to the front of the building, staring blankly out the window. He was hungry...he always seemed to be hungry. He wondered if Alec had any food in the school...he assumed so, considering the fortifications Alec spoke about. Sighing, Charles continued to watch the main-though now barricaded-entrance to the complex...

Ooc:Profile of zombie added to first post in the rpg

Walking around outside of a parking garage, a large creature was on the hunt for humans. The zombie had been formerly been a gorilla, but with the small bony plates that portruded from the shoulder area as well as on the hands and feet, two tentacles located on the flesh where the lower and upper jaw connected and jagged teeth in both jaws, it was now a monsterous beast that was roaming freely. It now walked with large, slow strides, eyes watching for any sign of movement...

Growls sounded from the outside world. Hisses and snarls followed suit, and the pattering of foot steps was audible as the some what humanoid zombies ran down the block. Alec turned from the dry-erase board, walking over to a window to the left. He barely saw the zombies, but the sounds of the waking horde was clear. There were a few heavy thuds, the zombies probablly jumping from the second floor of the buildings they inhabited..

OOC: Added a note to the first post, to clarify details about player zombies.

Charles crouched down by the window, afraid that the creatures outside would notice him. Though he could not see anything from his position, the noises from outside were enough to make him nervous...only Alec had a weapon, Charles himself would be easy prey if the zombies somehow got within the school...

The gorilla zombie scented the air as it began to head down a street that had been to the left of the parking garage it had made it's territory. It knew from experience that any humans would probably try to hide at night because it had hunted at night before and it hadn't seen a single human out in the open...

(When someone gets infected, they aren't using their gun, are they? That's what could happen. In fact, they could have there gun, get infected, then drop it once they're fully infected. Thus, le gasp, it ends up in the street! Or in a house, or what have you. Or, maybe a survivor dropped it as he was shooting them off. The possibilities are endless. Tanks? Nukes? It's one damn shotgun shell, don't go to far ahead of yourself. You think all the survivors just run from zombies all day? It's a damn zombie apocalypse, someone's going to have a gun. Some are not so fortunate. What happens to the gun? Does it vanish? NO. It's there until the next survivor picks it up. And I didn't saw his loot was good, I said he found food, ONE, I repeat, ONE shotgun shell that wasn't even useful since he does not have a shotgun, and some nails. If I went more specific, no one would really want to hear each specific brand of food he found. All of what he found is right there. One shotgun shell, some food, and nails. Does that sound like he found 7 AK-47's, over 9000 shotgun shells, and a grocery store full of food? And if it sounded like he looted everyday, then that's how it sounded, but it's not the actuality. Now, this argument seems to be going nowhere, so I'll leave it at this: in future posts, looting will be not everyday, probably more like twice a month, and the zombies will be hell. And don't fret, I'm not going to find an arsenal every time I loot. Maybe some ammo on occasion. Weapon if EXTREMELY lucky. Mostly food.)

Taban looked outside. They were everywhere. Coming towards his barricade. Last time he fought off a horde around this big, he had a shotgun and a friend. That's why, in a way, he wished he hadn't found that shell; it served no purpose other than a sad reminder of when he had a shotgun. Well, now his main priority was to make some upgrades to the current barricade. And that meant more wood, more nails. He found nails, and he thought he had some wood in his basement. But perhaps wood wasn't the answer. Just for the night, any objects put on his side of the barricade might work. Tightly arranged of course. He had a window upstairs he stood from and shot at them when nights got pretty bad. They never got this worse before. He was aware of the jumpers, which was why when he wasn't using it, that window had a similar barricade. As for giants, he simply prayed there wouldn't be any of them around. Because if one wanted to knock his barricade down, it could. And when that happened, it would quickly spell his doom.
He ran into one of the "rooms." It was actually an apartment complex, but since he was the only one in it, he used each apartment as a room. The downside was barricading the damn thing. Of course, he didn't wander around the entire complex, he barricaded off only his section, which was as much as he could manage. It only included about 5, maybe 7 apartments, last time he checked. And just that was still a handful.
The room he went into had a table with some chairs. He grabbed one chair and moved it toward the barricade. The zombies were starting to "knock" on the door. He grabbed another, putting it next to it. He then went in and picked up a rather long metal pole. He didn't quite know what it was, he had seen it when he first came there. It was a bit heavy, but he managed to bring it over. He let it go into the two chairs, which were shoved as close to the barricade as possible. He knew that would probably do nothing, but it helped his mental state. He didn't feel that much more anxious. So, with that, he started walking to the upper floors, to defend from the window...

OOC: Once again you blow my every statement out of proportion. Sure, he found one shotgun shell, but it makes no god damn sense. Why would a SINGLE shell be laying out in the street, and not in the GUN? And even if its only one piece of ammo, its the effect it would have later. I wanted to be 100% clear that you would NOT find that **** every post, or every page. Its a snowball effect; if I wouldn't have said anything, you would've most likely took it to the next level. Don't get all hot and bothered because I'm trying to preserve the RPG's quality.

Charles watched, crouched, out the window, trying to spot something, while trying to keep himself hidden as best as he could. After a few moments, his nerves got the better of him, turning away as he began searching for a weapon, any weapon, that he could use to defend himself...

[Guys. enough OoC posts. any debates are to be sorted out via Private Messages, and the resulting rule adjustment [IF the result constitutes a change or mention], will be added to the first post. otherwise, please refrain from OoC posts here. it's killing the RPG before it's even got off it's feet]

Vergil silently moved into the building, closing the restaurant's battered door behind him. he looked around, handgun in hand, wary of any sign of a presence. he had been using this particularly small restaurant as his home base. he had found it almost empty when he first stumbled across it several days prior. he found the lock on the long-since-turned off-meat freezer in the back broken, and had managed to develop a rather simple chain and hook internal lock. it allowed him to seal it shut from the inside, locking out anything that might be pursuing him. of course, then came the rather difficult situation of trying to get out again, but a ventilation shaft in the top of one corner of the freezer served that purpose well. he had managed to, at some point over the past several days, slowly empty the freezer of all it's old contents, which thankfully was made up of a few boxed goods. he had replaced what stock was there with as much tinned food as he could possibly acquire. the smell of the freezer wasn't the best in the world, and sleeping in there was a nightmare, but it was better than nothing. it was certainly better than the brittle wood-walled-and-doored apartment he had been camping out in prior, whose safety he saw was insufficient when a particularly fast zombie managed to slam it's way through the door, Vergil only barely managing to kill it before it got up, the creature's charge having disorientated it. after alot of movement, alot of close calls and several days later, he found this rather small steel haven. he had stockpiled what food he could, always carrying some in a dark grey backpack he carried wherever he went. he walked into his freezer-turned-stronghold and closed the large metal door behind him, extending the metal hook he had made of meat hooks, and anchoring it in one of the ventilation grills, making sure to lodge two of the three spikes of the hook under the wall panel. he sat down, lighting a small gas lamp and grabbed a tin of pinapple, opening it with a can opener and beginning to eat, preparing for nightfall. a sleeping bag and a few tablecloths in the corner served as a resting spot, his backpack usually serving as the base on which the sleeping bag's pillow was propped to lift his head up. laying to one side of the sleeping bag was a small, silver coloured harmonica, which he played from time to time when he started to lose hope of finding other survivors...

Suddenly, a peircing hiss sounded as the zombies began to collaberate.
"Oh...my...g- oh F*CK" Alec yelled as he quickly realized what was happening. Bangs sounded as the zombies slammed their hands against the white metal door that was the school's entrance..

The zombies had surrounded the school.

They needed a bigger hive...

Charles froze as the sounds of banging reached his ears from below. "Oh god..." he breathed, starting to panic. He needed to find Alec, if they had any chance of escape. Charles bolted down the hall, back toward the room Alec had entered...

Alec had darted out of the room, breathing hard. He looked down the hall, seeing Charles approaching him. Alec pointed to a stair well, his arm trembling and he darted towards it. He wanted to get to the boiler room and from there use a large vent that led to the outside. The interior grate was taken out by Alec a while ago, he figuring a situation like the one at hand would happen at some point. The exterior grate was still in place..

Charles took a few seconds to understand what exactly Alec meant before nodding, sprinting toward the stair well. He had no idea what Alec planned to do...but he had a better chance of surviving by following Alec...

The sound of shattering glass traveled through the school. By now, ALec was on the first floor, in the cafetieria. There he had a book bag filled iwth canned food, another part of his escape plan that was made ahead of time. Grabbing the black bag, Alec quickly darted for the second entrance that was right near the boiler room entrance..

(Copy that kp.)

Taban was at the window. He opened it wide, looking at the multitude of zombies waiting for him. He grabbed his Glock and aimed at one particularly aggressive one. He fired his shot, the bullet flying into the creature's torso. It fell, and he fired again, this time it went right for the head. He knew well enough that destroying the brain was the only way to guarantee the creature's demise. The blood flowed out. And that was one down, of a multitude to replace it.
Why didn't they get it? He wished they were at least as intelligent as rats. Rats learn when their brethren die to step back. To avoid danger. But these b*stards were so persistent they didn't care if you shot an RPG right down the middle and blew many of them sky high. They would just keep coming. And it was getting to him.
He continued firing, aiming specifically at the ones that were trying to knock the barricade down. His aiming was better with a rifle, since that was the first gun he used. But his handgun skill was improving. This particular Glock model seemed to be sufficient enough. A body pile was forming on the ground, as he continuously shot into them, aiming at each one. He hoped he'd be able to join with another survivor soon. If he didn't he could only survive for so long before he would just be another one of them. But if he ever became infected, he planned to shoot himself. He wondered why didn't other people do it? It was probably easier said then done...

Charles raced down the stairs, barely catching sight of Alec as he headed toward the school's second entrance. Charles darted after him, hoping not to be left behind, intentional or otherwise, quickly grabbing a mop that was leaning against one of the walls, figuring it was his only weapon...

Alec pressed the silver latch on the red metal door, turning to see Charles behind him, wielding a broom. Questioning the sight wasnt in his mind at the moment. The boiler room would act as a short lived haven for the survivors until they can get to the vent and then make a run for it outside..
