Okay, basically you make a wish which the next person grants, but it's tainted. The tainter makes their own wish afterwards.

Example:

Person 1: I wish for a pet elephant

Person 2: You get it, but dropped from 100 feet onto you.

You can only make the same wish every other page. For example, a pet elephant wish on page 2 cannot be made on page 3, but can be made on page 4.

I Wish for a mansion full of gold

But it's filled with carbon monoxide.

I wish I don't have to go back to school for another week.

Granted but your educatuin suffers like hell

I wish for a chocolate bar...

You get it, but you drop it, and it is pulled away by a pack of roaches.
