What do you want to see in the video game industry?

Postby raptor titanus3 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 1:34 am

Rather self-explaining, what kind of games do you want to see in the future, this includes genres, features, and other facts like the studio producing it (if you have a favorite game studio)

Personally I like open sandbox style games so there something I'd like to see more of, Features included would be the ability to try and produce your own style equipment so if you already have something in mind but they don't have it available you can have it made in game so there is always unique gear or character models in the game. Beyond that... not much

I don't, I'm fine with who I am... and you should be too" - RT3

I like RPGs and making your own characters. It's quite fun, and good mechanics make it even better.

I agree with G4E! Also, I'd like to see some more RTS games out there. It's like that idea got deserted since a year or two ago...

If only I could find my pitch for a game design I did a few years back...

Essentially it was an MMO RPG where you take control of a dinosaur. Pretty simple concept, but the combat wasn't as stiff as normal MMOs. Think action game fighting with MMO style character design and options. Large predators (predators being the only playable creatures) would have to deal with territory disputes and so forth, while smaller carnivores would deal with pack wars and so forth. Would be equally PVP and PVE oriented. And the dinosaur options would be quite large, in species options as well as appearance.

If I could find the pitch I made, it would sound way more professional D:

Sounds cool, TT. I think it'd do well.

Yup. I'd also agree on a open sandbox type of game. They're fun, cool and you can do whatever you want to in them, I guess...

Ya, that's what my game would be, open world. Packs and so forth would be made up of players and NPCs alike, and they could "war" with other packs, NPCs and players alike =D

I'd like to see more simulation games and RPG games based on medieval Europe. I quite liked the stronghold series and heard there was a third one coming up soon.

The world needs more classic ps1 games.

I'd actually like to see an old video game from my child-hood remade though that in itself is a pipe-dream (Long odds of sucsess)

Someone should rerelease FF7. Instead of, you know, making new games and expecting people to know what you're talking about.

I want to see Call of Duty die. I want to see it burn.

yup nazi zombies was fun but if you keep using the same gimmik it eventually dies then again killing zombies with an AK-47 is a dream of mine (or maybe an auto shotgun)

Once again, COD should burn. I honestly refuse to play that series after MW2.
