Hordes are cool, but I prefer brute strength.

Well, I got three classes that I'm using: Raptor, Tyrannosaurus, and the Compy pack.

I'm thinking if I get the game I'm gonna be using Raptor, Dilophosaurus, and maybe Rex. Maybe.

I'm not a good shot, so more power, health, and damage output is my style.ow

Gameplay of the Alpha build. So far, it's looking very promising.

That it does. Personally, I can't wait for this game to come out. X3 I'd gladly give it a try.

Raptor looks aaaamaaaazing. Hopefully the weirdness of some of their jumps is fixed before release.

Here's a screenshot of the adult Rex (the developers said that the T-rex first seen was actually a subadult) and the "native" class.

1.) Well either the pteridon is saving the tracker or more likely throwing him to it

2.) If they are telling the truth about giving the Dilo an acid spitting ability her sharp eyes aren't going to be of much use in a moment

3.) This game looks fairly interesting and if it has an open beta or something like it I'd like to know

This is the main theme of the game. It sounds very fitting in my opinion.

Some of the running animations in the game. Most notable are the compys and the Dilo.

IK, those are not in game animations, it's just a scene cooked up by a bored animator. Making animations suitable for in game use is a bit more complicated, as they have to work seamlessly with the code.

It's bizarre how interested in this game I am. I frequently check up on it to see how its going, more so than other games that I'm looking forward to. But to be honest I have serious doubts about weather or not it's going to be any good.

When did they first announce it? Back in Autumn, of 2009. The original plan being to spend a year making a quick multiplayer game in order to raise funds for them to work on their generic epic fantasy game, 'Lightspire.'

10 months later, they announce that they are swapping over to UDK and had replaced all the art assets which they had created.

It's been nearly 1 and 3/4s years, and we have videos of game play now.

The in game animation I've seen is quite impressive and the visuals are nice.

On the other hand, they released a video of the T-rex. And didn't include a single kill. (not counting when they kill the t-rex near the end, I mean the t-rex killing them)

This worries me, greatly. They didn't even show us some sort of crappy place holder kill. You could say they wanted to wait till it was ready, but why then did they make the video in the first place? and why did they show us the crappy shooting and the buggy as hell raptor pounce?

Indie titles are kept a float by interest from their communities, donations, etc. If they've been working as hard as they say they have, then where the hell is all this work?

So I ask you, RPGT:

How do you feel about what we've seen/been told about of Primal Carnage?

Meh, I'm starting to give up on it. If it's been almost two years since they first announced it and we still have precious little to go on where gameplay's concerned...at this point I'm more excited for other games I've heard of than I am for Primal Carnage.
