One of the greatest RTSs i've played. It is based on LOTR (Duh...) I love the style of it. I love using things like the Witch King and Sauron to destroy my foes. Along with Felbeats and Nezgal.

There are 6 forces:

Mordor
Isengard
Men
Dwarves
Elves
Goblins

All have awesome units, though my personal favorite is Mordor.

I have only played the first one but i wanna play the second

quite fun. i haven't played all sides yet, but my personal favourite so far are Men [the White Paladin or whatever it's called, and my love for extremely fortified bases or castles, make it very hard for me not to like it]

my personal favorite are the elves
love the game and also the multyplayer soccer match :p

All I got to say is: HOLY CRAP Sauron is good!

I just finished a game. The enemy (Humans) tryed to kill Gollum right by my base He died, they died, and I took the ring. Then Sauron arrived! And when he hits people, they go FLYING. I won just by sending Sauron in the enemy's base. The only help he had was from 2 Felbeasts.

Sadly, I have this game and hate it, the elves are unbeatable. On my first try with the elves I beat three of the harest difficulty goblins, all the goblins were allies. I hate alot about this game [they abused the book license for one] but it does have some cool units like goblin dragon guy, Sauron, Witch king, but the game has files in it to stop it from being moddifyed, when BFME1's files were figuered out and the mods began to tricle in BFME2 has changed the file to prevent modding. When you download a patch if one of your files is slightly different from what it should be the patch cancels leaving 2gb of extracted files HIDDEN in my documents. The above caused me to delete my only attempet at modding the game [I had created a mod that makes Drogoth eat random people, like the Krakens one.] also the kraken is a very cool unit, but it isnt even useable, its a spell that when used on the ground summmons a big beastiy who bursts through the ground and starts hitting people, he lasts 15 seoconds. The goblins should have him as a sea unit. Since people dont want to hear me ranting I will stop now.

My little brother has this game and I sometimes play it. I really enjoy playing with the elves and men.

I just got the expansion pack, The Rise of The Witch King.

It makes the game harder, but funner. The Nazgul horse riders are no longer heros, bu units. They are stronger against everything except Lancers, and there are 6 of them. The Witch King doesn't hit 3 people at once anymore....at least not untill level 10 where he can hit about 7. The two felbeasts have names now. There is a whole new faction, Angmar. Also, in the hero maker, you can now make 3 different types of trolls.

It is truely awesome.
