New AVP game but 360 and PS3 I believe.

I'd say its gonna be PS3 X-box 360 and PC
I'd wait till E3 to make any predictions though.

I saw it in a magazine. It actually looks really good (and yes, it's for PS3, 360, and PC). The only thing they really revealed was that the Predator can jump from ledge to ledge or branch to branch, giving him a lot more ambush spots.

Damn you kids and your bandwagons! Me and Doc were playing AVP2 for YEARS!



Regardless, looks really good. AVP2 was a godsend, even by today's standards, and it had shitty graphics and such. A next gen version would be even better...can't wait.

I cannot believe I didn't notice thisi here earlier...

From what I've gathered, when you'r at the beginning page, you can choose diffrent skins for your creature. For instance, if you've chosen a Xeno, then you can choose either the normal Drone apperance, or the Predalien. Whever this has any affect on gameplay or not is unknown to me...

Also, ech of the Factions play diffrently. With the Marines, darkness is your wort enemy, and you have a flashlight to help you see. Also, you have the advantage of guns to use. As Xenos, the ability to crawl on walls helps out balalnce the lack of ranged weaponry, and you have the strongest meelee attacks in the game. As the Predators, Stealth is your ally, and you can use a mixture of close combat or long-ranged weaponry to your advantage.

Xenos are me, alright. I'm a melee beast, no matter the game.

only down side is a random Xeno could spot me while Im cloaked and stab me with the tail...all spy like

Actually, Predalien isn't a skin. And yes, by skin, I mean just an appearance change. Unlike AVP2, there are no "classes" to each species.

Alien skins (As far as I remember): Normal warrior, domed warrior, ridged warrior, runner/dog alien, Number 6, Praetorian, and Grid Alien.

Again, that's all I could remember. There might be more.

The demo is extremely fun, now that the matchmaking issues have been sorted out (Thank god the retail game will have dedicated servers).

I personally enjoy uniting the other Alien players to work as a team, despite it being FFA. Usually results in us tearing up the other players.

Praetorians are basically "baby queens". If a hive's queen dies, or another hive is formed, a Praetorian morphs into a Queen.

In AVP2, they were heavily armored sons of ******. They couldn't pounce or wall run, though.

In the new game, they still have the awesome headcrest.

Basically a Warrior with a number 6 carved in its forehead. Its the main character of the single player alien campaign.

When this game comes out, I'm SOOOO gonna buy it, even if the reviews say it sucks. I liked LOTR: Conquest, but everyone else hated it.

Ya, there was lots of hate on the demo, but that was mostly because of the matchmaking crap. Rebellion still made a really bad move: The demo uses a build of the game that is 10 months old. That means there's a LOT of difference between the demo and retail.

What were reasons for many people disliking the demo because of matchmaking?

First, lack of dedicated servers. PC gamers hate matchmaking.

Second, the time it took to find a match was ridiculously long, and sometimes you would DC right after finding a game. Luckily, they fixed all this with a patch.

Dled the demo on my PS3, its pretty kick ***, but I did notice what TT said in that it takes forever to find a match. T_T its pretty fun to play as an alien, but those predators kept dropping mines.

GI gave it a 5.75 out of 10.

I Think they're just being bias against it.
