there's no arguing against the fact it was fun. I agree there. however, it was murdering the RPGs, and reducing the writing standards of many of the participants. rather than improving, people posting in RPGTEW exclusively were actually getting worse, from a quality standpoint. by the time it was finally shut down, there were some posters whose posts made me want to scrape my face with a fish scaler. this site's supposed to do two things: entertain you, and improve your writing skills. RPGTEW conflicted with the latter.

If people could have participated in the RPGs properly, giving it a fair amount of time [meaning, each one getting just as much time as RPGTEW got], it wouldn't've been deleted. but as it stands, it took too much away from the rest of the site, and benefited no one in any meaningful way.

at the end of the day it was meant to be a place to write actions that aren't allowed here. it was never intended to be a legitimate E-War like the others, let alone one that encouraged members to neglect the RPGs themselves.

God forbid the site should encourage such inane things as imagination and creativity.

How is copying 5 different things and being overpowered as **** being creative? That's essentially what everyone was doing there.

And such creativity could be put to use elsewhere without being stupid.

Prolly isn't my place but if I remember right, the E-wars were initially meant to be a place to just mess around. Not be taken so srsly. Then you guys made more and more and they kinda seem to me almost like legitimate RPGs just a bit less developed.

Methinks people need a place to blow off steam, creative or not, perhaps if you just took it back to its roots everyone would be satisfied.

No, RPGT E-war was the only one that wasn't serious. We developed the idea of an E-war from that because we needed a place for more combat-oriented RPGs.

RPGT E-war was for messing around and talking like this topic, but with more punching.

Your missing the point. My problem is the claim that the site is all about writing quality.
Its not.
It's about imagination and well, enthusiasm. The E-war wasn't causing quality to drop in any way.

Rules were meant to stop the NPC plot **** that kept appearing so that it would go back to being more like the original RPGTEW. Didn't work

@CS: The original E-war didn't even need rules, how does adding rules make it more like the original?

EDIT:Is RPGT having server problems or something? I've been having troubles with it specifically as of late. Can hardly make a post here without it going to a white screen upon pressing submit.

FINALLY killed Wesker in RE5. That last part with 2 reapers and two mini gun majinis before you fight Wesker is pure evil.

rofl. that was amusing. I made a habit of exploiting enemy friendly-fire in that chapter. that, and I had modded the game to allow me to use melee at will. add that to a Wesker mod for the main player character, and you have a rather amusing game

KP:I'm starting to think that the next time you mode the game, you're going to swap the Wesker and Chris models so that it looks like Wesker will finally be getting revenge on Chris in the final fight.

already have. I run around as Wesker with his melee abilities and his handgun. it's sufficient to maul everything except the reapers [which usually go down once you've shot the weak points enough that they bend backwards. one melee move after that will finish the job].

and yes, G4E, it did. though I don't remember the specifics of the incident. it was so chaotic all i remember is running, dodging, and shooting through that area. dodging the miniguns was fun
