Oh, and happy birthday, EE...

Because I don't like anime, and I'm 100% certain this will be no different.

Now now, TT... don't let your presupositions cloud your judgement... just give it a try... I'll give MLP a try and see if I actually like it... ONLY if you and DM give Gurren Lagann a try. I'll put up my opinion once I've finished watching it...

When i said that GL is the best piece of media humans have ever made, I took EVERYTHING into consideration. I put up all the shows, all the Anime, all the movies, and all the games I've played, up to the standards that I set ( Must have an enjoyable and great plot, must have likable characters, must have great music, must have an underlying message, etc.) After taking all those things into consideration, GL won out. It's simply a masterpiece that must be watched...

Saying ANYTHING is the best piece of media made by mankind is an opinion of that single individual. I may watch GL for the hell of it, if I get time, but I can predict right now that I will not enjoy nearly as much as you do, Gira, because my tastes are entirely different (I've never been an anime buff, for one thing, and the subject matter of the show may not be something I'm even remotely interested in).

I could easily say MLP is the same way (I honestly don't think so, though; it's an excellent, high-quality cartoon, but that's the basic gist of it), and I highly doubt you would agree. Enjoy it? Yeah, sure, I think you'd like the show, but not as much as myself, or TT, or the thousands of other fans. The same thing is true for GL. I am not going to think it's awesome. Good? Quite possible, because I have seen anime exceed my expectations before. Even then, I can think of DOZENS, if not HUNDREDS of other TV shows or films (hell, even Flash shorts maybe) that I would prefer. It is nothing against the anime, and it is nothing against you. That's just the way I feel.

Expressing your opinion is all well and good, Gira, but when you start shoving it in other people's faces to get them to watch the same show, or look at something in a certain way, you're overdoing it, and you're working against your own goal. The more you annoy TT about it, for example, the less likely he's going to watch it.

Ah, that was a good rant. :D

...What the heck was I on when I did the last 3 posts? I guess I had a tad bit too much suger in my cereal...

I take back what I said earlier. I LOVE Gurren Lagann, and I consider it a pinnacle of Anime... but as DM said, there's always going to be something better, simply because what I like, isn't what TT likes. what I consider the greatest, he may consider trash. Hence the old saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure". We are each entitled to our own opinions, and I respect TT opinion, and your too, DM. I don't want to end up ramming my opinion down everyone's throat... It just isn't right...

Now then, I'll be off to watch MLP and see how it is... apparently, idiocracy makes up 78% of my bood...

Hey, just speaking my opinion. Nothing personal.

Also, do more than just watch the Season One Pilot if you do watch MLP. It gets significantly better as it goes along, and the first couple episodes are actually probably some of the worst, except when it comes to establishing the characters and setting, etc.

Honestly, even in my own personal opinion, MLP: FIM is hardly the best TV show ever. A brilliant example of good, old fashion humor for all ages? Indeed. But the best show ever? Noooooo way.

Am I the only one going o_O at the 'anger mark' on Persephone in DIRPG? what is that? like an MLP Cutiemark or something? if this is a real life occurance, please give me an example...cause what I see there makes no sense to me....it's about as believable as a thought bubble randomly appearing over someone's head...

God Forbid her forehead disappears and is replaced by a gigantic purple skid mark or some other such madness...

ask Gira. apparently it's something to do with anime. perhaps that blinking cross symbol thing you see on angry anime characters?

Fwah! I have been enlightened!

Did you know an Aster is a kind of flower?! Pretty cool, huh?

Angermarks are indeed accosiated with anime, but aren't escusively anime. They can be found in other sources of media. Now, while the angermark on Persephone isn't an anime angermark, it's more like a few veins on her forehead becomnig apparent as she gets angry, which is where the angermark comes from... In other words, KP's right.. to an extent...

Great... so now the embodment of pure evil is trying to take over a continent-sized flower... now I've seen everything...

Just watched the first two episodes... and (Dare I say it)... it's actually TOLERABLE, at worst... at best, I actually sorta like it. Nowhere near my favorites, but if future episodes DO get better, like DM said...

Trust me, halfway through Season One, everything gets significantly more entertaining.

And then Discord shows up in Season Two, and sh*t hits the fan. :P
