Got the ivory Lagi urgent unlocked. I'm thinking of doing the quest with a mix of Zinogre and high rank Lagiacrus armor.

He's pretty easy, don't worry. Just watch out for his super charge.

The Ivory Lagi quest went well. I took on my first three Deviljhos last night and Jho isn't quite a pain as I thought he would be.

HR Jho's pretty easy in general. Just... watch out for the Mark of a Hero quest once you cleared all the village quests. It's highly recommended to have G-rank armor for that, and what comes after...

What armor and weapons would you recommend for doing Mark of a Hero?

The main issue with MoaH is the Ivory you start off with. I suggest a solid status weapon, and armor that can sponge up electric hits rather well, so Crimson Peco G-rank armor can work, or if you feel like risking it, you can go with Goldbeard armor for more offensive power in exchange for really hating electric attacks. Once Ivory's down, then you got an Azure Los and Brachy on your tail, but the los tends to die to friendly fire if you just run around alot, leaving a weakened Brachy behind for you to deal with. All in all, be prepared to bring lots of Dash Juice for what's to come.

My apologies to anyone who was wondering about the silence and my absence over the past couple of days. Sickness has a way of making anything other than lying in your bed coughing your lungs out and wondering whether it's dawn or dusk and whether the ceiling is above or below you rather impossible.

IK, If you go for Goldbeard armour and find that the electric attacks are annoying, it's easy to gem that away. [Combined with a canteen thunder resistance/Thundercaller meal, I manage to get 20 water and 23 thunder resistance. Basically, I am invulnerable to anything but the raw damage of thunder attacks. No thunderblight.]

In fact, if you have a talisman that gives you Sharpness without a negative Handicraft value, it can turn Goldbeard armour into one of the most formidable sets in the game. High Grade Earplugs, making you immune to roars, sharpness +1, meaning your blade is one sharpness level over what it should be, water attack +1 making your water weapons even more destructive, and the space to add one more ability of your choice through gemming [I usually alternate between tremor resistance on land and electricity resistance when in the water]. All in all, a very, very effective set.

What happens when KP's sick and C S and TT are gone for a week:

Someone thinks their characters can be in a war zone, be untouched, and in fact help rebuild after the fact despite the many situations where they would have been murdered had they even in the vicinity by an invading army, and another person puts their character in a contrived spot to meet the other character they were separated from in the first place thus negating an admin ruling.

AKA why we can't have nice things.

FRPG. Same place most things happen these days.

Hunted my third Goldbeard Ceadeus a couple minutes ago. I've taken a look at the armor set and besides the parts that need dark dragon gems, every piece also requires conqueror's seals to make. Is there a quest early on into G-rank that gives these or will I need to progress further into G-rank before those quests become available?

Spam the quest with 2 volvidon and 2 great jaggi. It's easy and gives you a conqueror's seal every time, guaranteed.

To all affected by my lack of attention in FRPG i would like to apologize and inform you that i have edited that post and have made my characters wounded but not as severely as others due to a combination of thick skin, scales, and the fact that one of them has the power of healing magics at his disposal.

The city is overrun with monsters. No one is rebuilding and anything still there would be killed. Your post makes no sense.
