as i said. the museum was a rushed thing we did just before heading for the airport. the plan was to arrive in NYC from Vegas that night, sleep, wake up the next day, take off around lunch time- early afternoon. i wish i could've seen the Empire State Building, but unfortunately, we lacked time. me being something of a Dinosaur enthusiast [albeit not as much as i was as a kid], we made a beeline for the museum, so i could actually see a T.Rex skeleton in person [we don't have fossils here in kuwait. not from the Dinosaurs' era anyway. that layer of the earth's crust where we are turned into the oil we use for our economy. any fossils that ARE left are most likely heavily damaged to the point you could most likely confuse them with normal rocks]. i have to say, it was worth it. i felt like a kid in a toy shop when i saw that Rex. that unique feeling of amazement and joy combined that i thought i lost along with my childhood. staring at the Rex, seeing exactly what was meant when i watch TV and hear them talking about a 40 foot long T.Rex with teeth like steak knives...etc etc etc, that was probably the best possible ending to my US trip, as far as i'm conscerned...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
