Pets

Got something to say that isn't fitting anywhere else? Post it here!

Thats the downside of having pets. They are going to pass on at some point, and the more we have, the more pain we are going to feel.

Yeah. When the family cat, Spunky died back in 1997, it shattered by mom and the rest of my family. He was 17 years old then. We loved that cat. We didn't get another until 2001...and then another, and then another. Now there are four cats! But I still miss Spunky very much. He was like a dog..always following you and cuddling up to you.

That's cool that you're bringing your snake to college. Are the college people going to allow her to come though?

I duh no. Hopefully. I think they allow small pets that stay in cages or Fish Tanks.

ok.....Snake+Cage=Bad idea
Snake+Fish tank=Not bad idea
Snake+2-3foot long Fishtank=good idea

I almost bought a snake once...but the fear of it dying put me off...

Double post? I don't give a damn!

I got an Emperor Scorpion today! His name is Eddy. Actually, its Edward; named after Edward Scissor Hands (Hahaha  ) But ya, I kinda like the movie....my sister and mom were the ones who thought it would be funny if his name was Edward though.

I'll try to get a picture of him and my snake tommarrow. It will be hard...seeing as the digital camera is my sister's and she doesn't like Eddy much :P .

Yep. Their sting is as strong as a bee sting though. So you could get stung over and over, if you aren't allergic. The calws are what you have to watch out for. They can split your finger-nail with little strength used  .

Mine is kinda calm. I fed him last night (cricket) and he dropped it a few times....and once it landed under his claw. I tapped his claw with the Thongs (you aren't supposed to leave crickets inside because they can bite the scorpion.) and he moved his claw surprisingly clamly. He eventually ate it.

And about odd pets, I love them!

I got an odd breed of dog (Great Dane) a snake, 3 ferrets, and now a scorpion. I plan to get a terriarum for my snake (look it up if you don't know what it is) and use her old tank to house either a Tarantula, Millipede, or another snake.

Possibly. Tiger, fire (red and black) and others. Or a Tarantula.

:D

No, she's not part Irish Wolf Hound. She's a German Sheperd/Sheepdog/Border Collie mix. And she's really fat. Her nickname is Fat Lard.

I didn't know there was Fire Millipedes. I just know some of the more common ones. Good luck with the tarantula. My mom won't let any spider within 50 feet of her.
