O.0 This could be the greatest discovery in the history of mankind.

The first photo, the overhead one, looks REALLY fake. The second seems more realistic...there have been reports of huge snakes in the amazon, legends of 100 foot long anacondas...

I'm still skeptical, to say the least.

Yea. I'm not really thinking this is real, due to 2 things:

1. The fact that the 1st picture looked like something from a Playstation .

2. When this topic was brought up in a forum I used to visit, one of the Admins there, using one of the trees in the foreground and other methods, came to the conclusion that the snake in the picture is 100 meters long, or the length of Showa Manda in the Godzilla franchise.

It would be cool if such a thing really did exist, though...

I won't truley believe the photos until they get a video of a snake that is similair in size or they capture one.

^ That's what all the scientists who believe that Cryptozoology's nothing more than psudoscience say, and they rarly take what many commoners refer to as proof of Cryptids. (Patterson fottage, the sonar scans of Nessie's flipper, and pygmies in the Congo identifying the Mokele Mbembe as a sauropod when given illustrations of various dinosaurs.)

If the 100ft/mt serpent's real, then local ranchers in borneo might notice their cattle dissapearing without a trace

It's impossible, simple as that. Im not being closed minded, but statistically speaking, a monster snake would need a large food source or it's metabolism would be just like ours- the large prey to a 20+ anaconda that would take months to digest would take days in a monster snake atleast. So ya..

Perhaps it could feast on the local Indian Elephants, or make short trips to the ocean to feed on small whales and sharks, thus getting the necessary food intake. Just a theory...

100 feet is just ridiculous. Yes, there are reports of anacondas and reticulated pythons hitting 30 feet, maybe even more, but 100 feet is simply unrealistic. True, some snakes grow constantly throughout their lives, as long as they have enough food, but they'd need a LOT of food to get that big.

i think the record is actually double that but... anyway... I don't know if it's real, but I would love to believe it is it'd be a talking point

largest snake in the world is some python, (reticulated?) and that isnt more than 30 feet or so. and Gira, sinse snakes swallow head first, those tusks would be a baaad thing to have going down a snake's throat. I dont know about the ocean transition part of the theory, but if it cant swallow an elephant, DAMN sure it's not going after whales/ other fish, because sharks would make an easy meal out of a jungle snake in the ocean, (entertaining the theory the snake can get to the ocean)

theres a picture of a python split open from eating an alligator (another alligator attacked it?). A python eating an alligator would be sluggish for weeks at a time, digesting it's hide, making it easy prey. If it is killed, it cant turn into the 100 foot monster now can it?

Oh yes CS, because when you say "Tigers eat deer" it means that 1 day old tigers, to 20 year old tigers, all eat deer. Period the end.

No, it would eat things it could actually kill, that would actually be sufficient.

And that's the reason why alligators, crocodiles, snakes, etc don't get to what people believe is "full" size. They grow throughout their lives, so a really old snake would be huge. 100 feet? Impossible. But 40 feet? Maybe.

nah, its more 40- 50... and there are pix of a python/anaconda (not sure, but probly python) that's eaten a boar with tusks...

as we see in the pic above, pictures arent definate proof. Theres a giant snake picture that looks real, a snake being imapled on a barb wire fence in iraq

Proof against it : Snakes grow huge and constricter like in jungles, desert snakes are primarilly venomous

google is just a search engine. Google images just shows images about what you search. If I searched giant snake, they'd show pictures of anacondas/ pythons from the movies, so ya,not reliable

DISCOVER WOULDN'T PUT A FAKE PIC ON THEIR SITE CS... sheesh... unless it's something that might be real or is in question, like this snake, but why would they fake a picture of a snake halfway through swallowing a boar/hog thing...?

what? Discovery channel's website? Because if thats what you mean, I dont know why, it would help your case if you link the pic here...

It's probably not there anymore i saw that a while back, someone told me to check it out... My point was that tusks aren't a problem for big snakes

A snake 100 foot long would mean...super...super heavy. There's no way its going on land...even if it did exist.

you were talking about a hog- wait- snakes eat head first, how'd you know the thing HAD tusks!?

and I was talking about elephant tusks...
