Rawhide nodded and left without another word to Onarus. The plan was repeating over in his head. He knew what to do. When he reached the cave, he walked in with pride and walked toward the nest to find a sad looking SharpClaw. He growled quietly at the sight of his former mate. He made his presence known to her with a quiet bark.
SharpClaw looked up and cautiously went over to Rawhide, lowering her head. She looked very calm right now, but also very sad. "Rawhide...I am so sorry for, for barking out at you. Please forgive me." She nuzzled him and waited for his answer.
Rawhide wanted to move away from his former mate in disgust at her display. She was just a pitiful creature to him now. But the plan was still playing in his head. "Of course," was all that he said. He took one glance at RawClaw. He was sleeping soundly, oblivious to what was about to happen. "Did the pack get anything to eat yet? Perhaps you should all go on a hunt. I will watch over RawClaw, don't worry...suggest it to Blade and Exile."
At first, SharpClaw wasn't sure about going on a hunt. She didn't know if she could trust Rawhide with watching over RawClaw again. But her stomach ached for something to be put in it. So, she nodded slowly at his suggestion. "I will alert them now." She ran to where Blade and Exile were and suggested that they tried to go on a hunt today. "It's nice today. I'm sure we will be sucessful this time."
The two pack leaders discussed it over quietly before finally coming to a decision. "We will go," said Blade to SharpClaw. "Get the pack ready to go out."
SharpClaw nodded and went to alert the pack. Soon enough, they were all ready to go on a hunt. Their minds were set on something to eat today. Before leaving, SharpClaw double checked with Rawhide. "Are you sure you want to watch over RawClaw?"
"Don't worry, SharpClaw. I will take good care of...our son. Now, go. Go on." He watched as SharpClaw left with the rest of the pack and smirked. Their plan was going to begin...
