Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

Elch dipped his head, though he knew Karan couldn't see it, and headed for the hangar. He climbed into one of the dropships with his squad of Ultra Elites, and they took off, flying out into space and nimbly dodging past battling cruisers and carriers on their way to the surface.

Bias, meanwhile, was out in space as well, flying gently down to Trandosha, talking to himself on his way. "...oh, that's a good idea. I am a genius!"

the Executioner shook slightly at the blow. "Sir. an attack is being directed at the bottom of the hull, not far from the engines. Suggesting we use an IGTNM" said the Commander. "I was hoping we wouldn't have to resort to those. fire one. that should be enough to eliminate the threat. if it's still capable of functioning after that, charge the PSC" said the Admiral calmly. the Commander entered the command as the Shields were regenerated to hold off the attack, the armour underneath getting damaged slightly by the blow after the initial penetration, as a small shaft opened up near the bow of the craft...

as the Ghosts hovered towards the Mechs, whose shields were down but armour still unscathed, a firestorm of Uranium Enriched ammunition began to rain down on them, tearing through the armour of the vehicles easily and shredding those inside. in the background, the Tripods were marching forward, a series of blue glows eminating from beneath their hulls as a series of powerful white Pulse Particle Cannon beams collided with the wall of the base, blowing it to smithereens as a series of bluish white beams from the numerous PSCs on the Tripods ripped the bombarding artilliary vehicles to shreds, several explosions notable from within as the Tripod's advanced scanners pinpointed the positions of the targets inside, leaving nothing alive in their wake, be it Brute or parasite...

Dozens of green explosions rained down on the mechs, toppling them from the sheer force of the explosions. The wailing sound of the Banshee fliers overhead was drowned out by the loud thump of another Fuel Rod bombardment, hitting the tripods in vain. Instead, the fliers veered off, heading back into the clouds at high speed.

Grievous shouted over the gunfire, "Serephir, get your crew and let's get out of here! Into the base! Your army will distract them, while we deal with that Carrier, and then whatever that thing is at the center of the base!"

Serephir signalled for the crew to follow him, running for the base with his rifle converting back to a machinegun, deciding that, with the situation he wouldn't need any long-range fire. he drew one of his swords, holding it in his left hand, being his preffered hand to use, and handling the easier to use machinegun in his right as he approached, the crew following closely behind him...

There was a wailing overhead, and the Banshees screamed out of the sky, but not at Serephir's group. They fired at the tripods again, obviously distracted by the greater threat. Grievous snuck into the base with the rest of the crew. "Alright, how about we split up? We'll cover more ground that way. We can meet at the Carrier and figure out what to do from there."

"Will do" said Serephir, moving in, his crew ready for combat, everyone taking place behind various rocks and debris, using it as cover. Serephir led on, moving around his point of cover and shooting at the targets, using his marksmanship and eyesight together to make sure he used no more than one bullet per kill...

Meanwhile, the Vardian Fleet unleashed a hellstorm of Particle Cannon and Ion Cannon fire, turbolasers firing mercilessly against the Brute fleets, vapourising ships at a breakneck speed, massive explosions engulfing the Brute ships rapidly...

the Tripods and Mechs swiftly shot down the Banshees, powerful Gatling guns shredding the vehicles as PSCs and Pulse Particle Cannons erased the attacking land forces easily...

Grievous split off from the rest of the group, leaping nimbly over a short rock that jutted out of the ground, like many around the wide plain that made up most of the base.

Arqueek looked around, seeing that the rocks that were scattered about, jutting from the dusty ground, provided ample cover. Unholstering his pistol, he crouch-walked his way towards the general direction of the massive Carrier that loomed overhead.

Serephir, spotting various points to use for long distance shots, zipped towards one, giving the order for the crew to move on as his machinegun turned into a sniper rifle, with which he began picking off enemies from a distance on the path to the carrier, each blast tearing a target apart. once he saw that a good deal of thel ong distance resistance had been eliminated, he bolted after them, his unnatural speed allowing him to swiftly catch up with them...

Arqueek, at the head of the group, walked around a corner, and saw a bright green glow next to a round, blue shield. He had enough time to back up behind the boulder before an overcharged plasma bolt hit it where he had been standing moments before, shearing off a portion of the rock, melting even more of it from the intense heat. "Great Horned Rat, that was close!" Arqueek muttered. He peeked around the corner, seeing the Jackal shaking his pistol, which was busy dumping waste heat. Arqueek immediately opened fire three times. The first two shots from his pistol stunned the alien, and the third hit it in the skull, blowing its head off from the sheer power of the round. As the Jackal collapsed in a pool of purple blood, the shield dissipated, and the pistol slipped from its claws. Arqueek bent down to examine the corpse, and unstrapped the circular from the alien's wrist, the shield generator. Strapping it to his own furry arm, he noticed two holographic figures appear on it: a blue square and a red triangle. He touched the square, and met resistance. The hologram flashed, and suddenly the shield sprang to life in front of him. He pressed the triangle, and it dissipated once again. "Hey guys, check this thing out!"

a deafening boom was heard as another round was shot off from Serephir's sniper rifle, blowing the head off a Brute that had snuck up on Arqueek. "Put it to good use, Arqueek!" called the Vardian General as he leapt from his position, landing softly on the half melted rock face next to him. "you never know when the enemy might try to take advantage of your lack of attention" he said, scanning the area around him as he stood by Arqueek, perched on the rock...

Arqueek spun around in surprise at the sight of the dead Brute. "Thanks," he said nervously, looking straight ahead. "But we've got a couple more problems!" Two more Brutes, one with the distinctive helmet of a Captain Ultra, the other a Major, growled angrily at the sight of their dead packmate. "The Captain barked something, and his compatriot opened fore with his pair of Spikers, superheated spikes sailing towards the group...

in a fraction of a second, the crystals shattered, Serephir's blade steaming slightly from impact with the heated spikes on it's cold surface. Serephir let his firearm return to it's normal size, holstering it in it's place under his General's coat, as he drew his second sword, crossing the two blades in front of him, looking malevolently at the two Brutes, a smirk appearing on his face...

The Captain growled angrily, and the major charged forward, swinging the bladed Spiker at Serephir.

Serephir blocked the swing with one sword, using the other to slash at the Armour, the Blade slashing through the shielding and leaving a shallow slash in the armour, before Serephir kicked the Major back, knocking the Brute off it's feet, colliding with it's comrade...

OOC: The Major was the one who charged, not the Captain.

The two Brutes collapsed, but the Major immediately rolled to his feet ramming forcefully into Serephir, clawed hands around his throat as he tried to strangle him with sheer brute strength...

the armour around the Brute suddenly began to cave in on it's body, as two blades emerged out of it's back, Serephir crushing it's entire body while impaling it, heaving himself free of it's grip, lifting it into the air and jerking his blades violently, ripping the Brute in half, both halves crumpling up and crushing themselves into small, basket-ball sized lumps, a series of sickening snaps and cracks heard all the way through the process as Serephir looked at the Captain, blades at the ready...

The Captain paused, staring at Serephir, before raising his Brute Shot, ready to fire. He fired, sending two grenades sailing towards Serephir at high speed.

Meanwhile, behind the group, the ravaged head, chest, and shoulders of a Koult stared at them from the rocks above. Arqueek heard a slithering, turned, and caught a glimpse of the creature, before it disappeared behind the rock.

Serephir stared carelessly as the two grenades swerved off course in opposite directions, hitting the ground meters away on either side of the Vardian General as he dashed forward, slashing the Brute Captain in the torso...

The Captain howled in pain as his shields failed, and the armor shattered. The Brute, however, refused to die. He punched Serephir viciously in the gut, actually sending him flipping through the air and sprawl onto his back. The howling Brute leaped into the air, both fists lifted up, ready to smash down into Serephir's exposed gut...

Serephir shifted to the side with almost impossible speed swiftly kicking off and sending his right hand sword hurtling downwards with a missile's speed after the Brute, impaling him and pinning him into the ground as the Vardian General softly landed. he walked over, drawing the blade, swiftly slashing the Brute in two before leaping, landing softly back on the rock next to Arqueek. the VAMCEB soldiers were moving forward on either side of him, as, back at the wall, the Tripods and mechs marched after them, their numbers no less than they were on arrival from Vardia...
