"Will do Shadowsoul" Coldeyes mewed, nodding to Shadelight and then turning back, walking to the two cats waiting for him, Mudstripe and Riverstone. Snowstar's daughters volunteered to give up a night of sleep to watch the camp entrance in complete silence

Shadelight nodded to Coldeyes then turned to Wraith once again with worry in her eyes. "He tried to hit Nightclaw?" she meowed. "I know they bicker, but actually meaning harm?!"

"Which is exactly why i think it's time i put them straight" growled Wraith...

Shadelight shook her head then yawned. "I think I'll turn in," she purred and stretched lazily. She trotted over to the den and laid down and looked at Wraith expectantly...

Wraith stood, looking out over the moonlit lake one more time, before heading into the den to rest, laying down by Shadelight and letting a paw drape itself lazily over her as he surrendered to sleep...

it wasn't even dawn by the time Wraith was up again. with the sun at least an hour short of rising, Wraith was already moving through the camp. he had a drink at the lake before heading for the kill pile, taking a mouse from it and swiftly eating it, before dumping what little remained of it under a bush. he had decided to swap his early morning and afternoon walks around, meaning he'd be hunting for food in the afternoon. he wanted to teach Nightclaw and Stormheart a bit about his routine while he was at it. he entered the Warriors' den, and went over to Nightclaw. he nudged him a few times, Nightclaw's rich yellow eyes opened, staring at his father sleepily. "How long since dawn?" he mumbled quietly. "it's not dawn yet. starting today, both of you are coming with me every day until you start waking up like this yourselves" growled Wraith, keeping his voice down. Nightclaw's eyes widened, but he remained silent. Wraith then moved over to Stormheart and Sunclaw, smiling at the sight of the pair of them asleep, remembering when they were kits. he moved over to Stormheart, and began nudging him...

Firestreak awoke silently, seeing that the sun was not yet up, but it really didn't matter to him. The darkness would only aid his hunt, which he intended to start soon, his stomach growling. The scarred rogue landed on the ground with a grunt, stalking off into the dark, searching for prey...

Stormheart groaned and rolled over. "Five more minutes Wolfheart," he mumbled.

"5 more seconds or you'll be dragged out by the tail, Stormheart" growled Wraith quietly. "You need to learn the benefits of waking up early" he added as he stood in front of his half-asleep son, waiting...

"Hm?" Stormheart blinked his now hazy blue eyes up at his father. He stood up lazily and shook off some of the moss that still clung to his pelt. "What's this all about?" he yawned.

"Your brother told you you were coming with me on my morning walk. now, get up, or we won't be back before everyone else is up. it's time we left" growled Wraith as he turned around and began heading for the exit to the den...

Stormheart yawned again and followed Wraith out. In all honesty he thought that Nightclaw had been joking, but this convinced him otherwise.

Wraith waited till he was out of the camp and nearing the border, to speak. Nightclaw walked next to Stormheart behind him, and Wraith decided it was time to confront the issue. "News has reached me that you're being a discomfort to your Clanmates, Stormheart. disobeying orders, assaulting fellow Clan cats, speaking when superiors are supposed to be handling the situation" he growled, his tone low and mildly irritated. Nightclaw cringed. it was extremely rare these days to hear their father with that tone...and it wasn't a good sign. Wraith's anger rarely ever surfaced. even in the most testing situations, when other cats would go berserk with rage, Wraith tended to simply let his anger simmer below the surface...but that simmering anger often brought with it much worse penalties than any enraged cat could bring forth...

Stormheart lowered his head & growled to himself. "But he wasn't handling the situation," he murmered.

Wraith stopped, his temper idle, but the effect of Stormheart's words obvious. "...And who are you, Stormheart, to decide whether or not he was handling the situation? he is one of the Leaders of our clan. i didn't accept him as my equal in the Leadership position simply to appease the Thunderclan Cats among us. He is where he is because he DESERVES his position. he didn't get there for nothing. he knows how to sort out conflicts in ways you can't even BEGIN to imagine yet, so don't even TRY and assume that because conversation doesn't seem to be going his way, that he is not handling it" he growled. "You realise that by disobeying his orders, that you practically made us look like a bunch of fools? that Rogue, Firestreak, says that our Clan no longer follows the Warrior Code, and you give him something that completely supports his claim, by directly disobeying your Leader, something that, in itself, goes against the very code we are being accused of abandoning?" he added. Nightclaw remained silent, deciding it best not to speak in this situation...

After staying silent for several moments to let his words sink in, Wraith growled "When you see something's going on that you think isn't right, a Clan member doing something you think isn't right, you tell me. me and Snowstar will handle it, or one of us if the other is the actual subject of the problem. As a Warrior, it's your duty to defend and serve the Clan. the decisions regarding how the Clan should be run, are the reason there are Leaders and Deputies. i hope i won't be forced to bring this subject up again, Stormheart". Wraith looked towards his son for the first time since he had woken him, and waited for any questions or responses...

Firestreak stalked toward Thunderclan territory once more, not paying much mind as his prey moved into the clan's territory. He had been tracking the mouse for some time...the scarred rogue had no problem pursuing it further. Soon the rodent began to chew on various things it found on the forest floor, giving Firestreak a chance to get closer...

Stormheart's tail swished in the dirt. "No, Shadowsoul," he meowed and bowed his head respectfully.

"Good....now, just one more thing i'd like to put to rest" growled Wraith, hiding his satisfaction over his son's response. "For several moons now, i've seen and heard nothing but argument between you and your brother" he added. Nightclaw cringed slightly at this. Wraith walked over to a pile of sticks he had collected beforehand, even earlier that morning. the sky was getting light, and dawn was only minutes away. Wraith pawed at the sticks, moving a very thin one, a mere twig. "Pick that twig up and break it" he growled simply as he sat. Nightclaw stood silently as ever, not wanting to interrupt anything...

Stormheart looked at his father with a skeptical look, but did as bid. He picked up the twig and easily snapped it with his teeth. "What's the signifigance of this?" he asked.
