The worldship began moving forward, charging headlong towards the Arachnid, dovin basals shrugging off the enemy's fire even as it collided violently with the Arachnid while it was distracted with smaller threats, the Dread weapons smashing away at its hull even as the ship threatened to fall apart, coral hull already compromised...

A bright flash erupted out of the Arachnid as it fired another shot from its disintergrator cannon, the white hot slab of matter cleaving through the underside of the worldship and peircing out its top, a horrible cloud of blood and flame being ejected into space. The huge ship's engines pulled into reverse and shot the Arachnid back. A few of its weapons had been damaged by the collision, but thanks to its Sea Urchin shape, the dread weapons had been kept away from its main hull. The arm which had just fired the disintergrator bolt rotated away, its hull shifting like some massive cog, bringing the next weapon in line to bare on the dying ship, a pulse cannon. The casing protecting the weapons muzzle opened up, a bright blue pulse bullet being fired out and into the Worldship, the bullet exploding and flinging the other ship away, back towards the rest of the Vong fleet. Numerous fires and explosions erupted over the Arachnid's armour, its shield being heavily compromised in the collision. One of its limbs had already been disabled, it didn't matter much though. The main damage was coming from the Longbows and Jr-10s.

Within the Vong fleet, the Harbringers had released hundreds of fighters, both OWLs and Sentinels in force.

Another group of Jr-10s arrived out of hyperspace, 25 of the cruisers rocketing into the battle and spreading out, the drones dispersing amongst the much larger Vong fleet, intending to swarm it from the inside.

It was a simple forumula, targets would be battered from long range, then when their Dovin Basals seemed over whelmed, they would be pummeled in a missile barrage and hit with Seismic charges if possible.

Behind them, the huge Drone Swarm could be seen, slowly feeding ships into the battle. A huge series of bright flashes lit up over the swarm, flickering on and off for a while, another barrage being fired, these shots oddly fired towards Trandosha's star....

As the smaller ships closed with the Vong ships (which began destroying the dying worldship before it could get too close), they began using their dovin basals in a much more dangerous way: instead of blocking attacks from the ships, the miniature black holes would instead suck the ships themselves in, the black holes being large enough to pull them in. Only the Coralskippers and Slayers, their dovin basals too small to do much more than block weapons fire, attacked the Longbows and JR-10s directly. Most of the larger ships focused their firepower on the Arachnid, to bring it down as fast as possible.

Another spy drone floated into the space around Trandosha, bumping into the first, both of which began floating in opposite directions, taking little notice of the others' appearance. With so much new activity, they needed more eyes on the situation...the first spy drone extended a tendril as a piece of wreckage floated past, being a half-destroyed Marican Sentinel, the drone pulling itself closer, another tendril appearing from its chest cavity, this one having a cybernetic "eye" on the end, pointing it at the battle as it began examining the partially liquefied machine.

The second spy drone, however, continued to orbit the planet, watching the various carnage around it, spying a mutilated Vong dread weapon floating toward its location...

The Jr-10s tore the attacking fighters apart without mercy. Their Ion cannons destroying the fighter's surface with a single blast, leaving nothing more than flaming piece of wreckage. Another of the Arachind's arms fell limp, explosions surrounding the weapon. It fired another GPC round into the Vong fleet, decimating another ship. It fired its plasma laser, the arm swinging around, the huge beam sweeping over the Vong fleet, more explosions erupted out of its armour, the ship being slowly torn apart. The 2nd Arachnid, Ar-92, bore down on the other side of the fleet, using a hail of fire to try and crush the fleet between the two attacks.

Meanwhile, the storm of shots fired from the fleet towards the TGDA's home system gracefully curled around its gravitational pull, being sling shotted out of its orbit back towards the battlefield, aimed right into the rear of the Vong fleet....

The Vong suddenly scattered, having seen the shots coming as soon as they appeared around the planet's orbit, letting the vast majority of the shots whizz by and towards the enemy ships. Some Vong ships were hit, but they were either absorbed or simply did little to really damage the fleet. The Vong ships fired on both Arachnids, evenly spreading their fire to damage both as greatly as possible. The Legcay of Torment moved forward with a small armada of worldships assisting it, as they attacked the second Arachnid from behind, the flagship letting out a massive chunk of plasma that exploded with such force it caused the Arachnid to drift forward slightly...

OOC: The shells have limited guidence, remember? :P Also, they would be aimed at the Vong units inbetween the two attacks

The storm of shots curled into the fleeing Vong armada, there being too many shells and too many ships to simply dodge out of its way, the wave crippling hundreds of ships. With the ships scattering, the drones had finally succeeding in punching through their line and linking up with the Ambush force.

The first Arachnid attempted to flee, flames now pumping out of it in various parts. Not many of the ships that had come to attack it remained. Just a few Worldships and a handful of smaller craft. The second Arachnid turned to face down the new comers, targeting one of the Worldships and firing all manners of ordanance at it, Gpc shots, a disintergrator round and tens of shells from its auto cannons while targeting it with its Ion cannon at the same time. The ship's shield had taken a battering in fending off the plasma shot, but it would hold for now.

The Jr-10s and Harbringers concentrated on destroying the remaining Vong warships while the Longbows concentrated their fire on the Worldships pursuing the Arachnid, their cluster bombs finally overwhelming its Dovin Basals, numerous large explosions blowing out massive plumes of coral and blood from its hull as they switched to high explosive rounds.

Meanwhile, the 4 Ambushers had deployed and were helping the Jr-10s to finish off the warships making up what was left of the Vong's first fleet.

Tsavong Lah, seeing as he had been outsmarted for the time being, ordered his ships to retreat. The Vong ships fled, sending out waves of plasma at their aggressors to fend them off while they jumped into Hyperspace. The Legcay of Torment also unleashed one final plasma shot at the second Arachnid before retreating into Hyperspace as well...

Grievous, receiving the information from a small probe that was watching the planet, announced, "The Vong have retreated. It seems the Maricans were too powerful for them. Looks like our plan won't be working after all."

The Daleks watched the Vong retreat, decimating the remaining Ork boarding craft, ignoring the ship itself for now. They would be destroyed when the time came...

The Arachnid was blown back by the attack, its shield severly damaged. It fired a volley of shells after the fleeing vong, a small group of Jr-10s and Harbringers pursuing the aliens into hyperspace as well, to make sure they left the immediate area.

The rest of the Drone Swarm continued to come out of hyperspace, hundreds of drones appearing close to the TGDA system. The Tortoise drifted back towards the system, the fleet scanning for any remaining defenders. It appeared clear...

Scanning Trandosha's surface, the Harbringers fired numerous dropships down into its atmosphere, intending to scan the surface for Vong activity....

"Interesting" said Serephir as he opened his gauntlet computer. it revealed that a number of the damaged Manticores had been returned to near full operational condition, and that the forces he had requested were ready. "keep them on standby. I'm expecting another battle situation before long. this is one battle. the war has yet to be decided" he said. information on at least 2 other factions being involved, though only amongst themselves, led him to believe that there was a slight chance of an attempted take over of Trandosha, other factiosn possibly taking advantage of the defeat of the planet's defences by the Vong to rush in, rush the Vong into a panicked retreat and claim it for themselves. "Have a manticore and 4 T-40s investigate the situation. maintain stealth systems until the intentions of all involved factions are known" he said. "Immediately, General". it was examine the aftermath...

mere moments after Serephir's order was delivered, the Manticore squadron broke off from the main fleet, moving towards a better position to handle communications and observe the new factions' safely, without hinting Vardian involvement...

The Dalek commander sent a message to his allies: "Attention: This planet is now under Dalek jurisdiction. Do not attempt to wrest control from us. You may assist us in the colonization effort, leave, or be exterminated. Any questions?"

Grievous snarled back, "I want those robotic pests off my doorstep now! They have been a thorn in my side for long enough! First they think they can hide in a star and take out my flagship for no logical reason, then they have the audacity to come crawling to me for help, and then betray me again!"

The Tortoise replied to the Dalek's message "This planet is marked as TGDA territory. Your quarrel is with them. We are currently clearing the area of all enemy presence. We shall leave when all hostile life forms have been documented and eliminated." Numerous Engineer Drones disappeared into hyper space towing destroyed Vong vessels behind them, heading far away from the battle and back towards Ex-Marican territory. The Engineers were already swarming over the battlefield, towing the destroyed Drones towards Trandosha as well as dying or dead Vong ships for study. The area was still on high alert, however, most ships having their scanners fully active.

The Dalek fleet wasn't seen as much of a threat for the time being. They had been badly damaged by both the Orks and the Vong.

Then a message arrived at the Tortoise "Ark'aran here. The ClógMór will be arriving shortly. Load it up immediately, I don't want it in enemy territory for too long"

Sure enough, the gigantic ship appeared a instant later, the enormous sphere dwarfing even the Arachnids a hanger opened up on the huge spheres front, big enough to fit a whole ship inside. The ship drifted towards Trandosha for now, entering into its orbit....

OOC: Who said the Daleks were ever badly damaged? :P

The Daleks, now supported by newly-arrived assault craft, among other ships, headed towards Trandosha as well, disgorging thousands of Transports and HKs, preparing a massive takeover of the planet, and stopping the TGDA from reclaiming it, whoever they were...

Spectre's wrist interface disappeared, the armored figure shaking his head in amazement at what had taken place. They were still deciding what to do, and the battle for the planet was already over...

The spy drone investigated the almost hollow Sentinel...a self destruct mechanism that didn't finish completely. Such a process was known among the Marican technology...it also gave valuable information as to how to destroy them. The drone retracted the eye tendril as the battle ended, now fully investigating the carcass of the larger machine...

Meanwhile, its counterpart prodded at the gargantuan dread weapon, examining its mangled body to document any new evidence on the Vong. Yet another of its kind arrived, almost colliding with the worm-like carcass, while it moved closer to the planet, in order to keep an eye on things on the surface...

A sleek, black-painted ship traveled silently through Slipspace, its cloaking device making it untraceable for the time being. On the bridge of the ONI Prowler, a group of five soldiers, dressed in full battle armor, with helmets with reflected visors on, stood at attention before another armored figure, this one with a distinctively different helmet. "Welcome aboard, troopers. My name is Captain Dare, and I'll be your squad leader on this mission." One of the soldiers raised his hand, and Dare nodded to him. "Um, why are you an ONI spook? Are we going to scare the d*mn things with your mysteriousness?" Elbowing him in the ribs, another soldier barked, "Shut it, Romeo." "Yessir..." the soldier muttered sullenly. Dare seemed unfazed, and she continued. "We have tracked a fleet of the robotic creatures to this system, and it's our job to gather intel, and stop the enemy's plan, whatever it is, if we can. Now get ready to strap in. We're going in--" The troopers cut her off, barking in unison, "Feet first, ma'am!" Dare nodded, smirking behind her helmet. "Excellent. Now gear up."

A single shrouded radio message reached the Dalek. "Give forth Identification and purpose in the Trandoshan Star System" came the contact, the stealthed Manticore and it's escorts monitoring from a distance, bouncing responses back to the Vardian fleet via numerous transmitter probes released by the T-40s at strategic positions, making a trace back to their origin impossible...

The Dalek commander, in a rather arrogant, but still angrily hostile, voice, replied, "We are the mighty Dalek Empire. This planet is now under our jurisdiction. Do not attempt liberation, or you will be exterminated. Are you the TGDA?"

"Arrogance is the bane of all empires. you are advised to cancel occupation plans and leave immediately" responded the Manticore class ship Dragon...

"Grievous, rather than worry about the Maricans for now, focus on the ones planting their feet on your planet's soil. this 'Dalek Empire' is taking over Trandosha. if you want it kept intact, i'd suggest you get your forces ready for an attack" said Serephir, before giving the order out to let out the awaiting squadron of T-40s...

OOC: Dm, you currently control 85897096 races/factions/squads. If you want to make anymore after this, you have to delete existing ones. Its becoming ridiculous.

The dropships decended through Trandosha's atmosphere, sensors searching the terrain infront of them, heading for a city visible in the distance. They dropped off a few Variant S sentinels as they went, the scouts zipping away to investigate different parts of the planet, searching for a vong marine division.

The ClógMór orbited around the planet, numerous wreckages being dragged into its depths for repair or study.

The Tortoise picked up the transmissions between the Daleks and the mysterious third party, who they guessed where the TGDA.

"This is the TGDA, remove your forces from the planet or face certain destruction." A message was broadcasted openly to both the Daleks and Marican forces, making little move to hide its exact location, which was actually one of the tiny spy drones, the one heading toward the planet...
