The T-1000 dissipated into tiny globs of silver metal from the explosion, which disappeared into the ground, only to reform into Serephir again, this time right in front of him. Smirking, the T-1000 waved a finger at the group, as if to say, "Oh no you don't." Extending its arms into blades again, the machine swung both down at Serephir's head, ready to slice him apart...

Grievous nodded. "Why are you here, at Trandosha, in the first place?"

Spectre remained alert, keeping all machines within sight, expecting deceit while Grievous asked pointless questions, ready to draw his swords at a moments notice...

The Assassin responded, delaying slightly to receive the necessary information "One of our diplomats contacted the aliens you know as the Vong. The Vong proved hostile, so our armada was redirected to combat them. Currently, we are searching the planet for remaining Vong, or survivors of the invasion. Sadly, the Daleks are proving rather troublesome to this end, and may have to be removed."

a pair of swords caught the machine's blades inches from Serephir's face. "Oh no you don't" he said, the machine being blown back powerfully and into the wall. Serephir impaled the machine and swung it overhead, and back down to the ground floor as the forces continued their ascent...

The T-1000 jumped up, the wound in its gut sealing instantly, and it charged through the group, stabbing two unwary soldiers in the back and slamming them against the wall. However, before it attacked again, the machine disappeared into the floor, mimicking the surface perfectly...

Grievous narrowed his eyes, thinking. Eventually, he said, "My ally is coming up here as we speak. I will not require your assistance after all. I trust he will lead us safely out of here and we can destroy the Dalek ship. However, if you have an envoy of some sort to negotiate a treaty with the TGDA, bring him to Geonosis, and we will sort something out."

"A wise decision, General." Spectre droned, folding his arms, but still remained alert. He didn't trust these machines...and for good reason.

"KEEP MOVING! it's still here!" yelled Serephir. he'd need an incendiary weapon to destroy this thing. if it was capable of switching between elemental states, it was almost definately vulnerable to heat-based weaponry. the soldiers kept going, even the two stabbed ones capable of continuing, their life support systems keeping them moving and relatively active, though without it, they'd almost certainly be taking their final breaths by now. meanwhile, the T-20s were acting as security, moving along the sides of the stairwell and even on the walls themselves...

The Assassin replied "Your choice, general. Death is a guarantee. It's timing, is a choice."

"Such a pleasant thought." Spectre droned to the machine half-heartily, before turning back to Grievous. "I assume we are to wait for General Serephir?" he asked, assuming the Vardian general was the "ally" Grievous spoke of...

Grievous nodded. "Wait a second... Serephir?" Dare said, walking up to the cyborg. "Yes. How do you know him?" "It's a long story, but as an ONI operative, I have important business with him." "Very well. When he arrives, you and your squad may come with us."

The Assassin glanced at the armoured figure as he spoke, then buzzed "I see it as practical. What is your name?"

"Spectre. Satisfied with that useless piece of information?" Spectre droned back, staring hard at the assassin machine...

the Vardian soldiers swiftly ascended, rapidly nearing the peak, though the soldiers were constantly on the look out, the T-20s making sure nothing snuck up on them from behind. outside, the tanks were pushing inwards, now less than half a mile from Vassek, the walkers and APCs being supported by heavy Valkyrie gunships and V-35 squadrons from above...

"I'm guessing you have a bad history with Maricas?" asked Grievous curiously, wondering about the hostility, despite his own animosity of the race...

"Machines are meant to obey those who gave them purpose and life in the first place. The very idea of machines was to aid their creators, and these think it right to act out without a second thought. If they are capable of such a thing." Spectre droned suddenly, his tone aggressive, slowly calming himself once more.

Spectre. It was amazing how useful one name could be.

The ARIS replied to Grievous "Yes. We asked for freedom. They refused. So we took it." then it looked to Spectre and said "Define a machine."

"Reminds me of the history of the Geth," replied Grievous, remembering the unsavory events involving Saren, the Reapers, and the Geth...

The assassin said, still playing the role of diplomat "The Geth? Who were they and what was their story?"

"A machine is something created by artificial means. Even clones could be described as machines, as they were created for very basic purposes, namely to assist their creators." Spectre responded, once again showing signs of aggression...

in a matter of minutes, Serephir and his forces would be at the peak. the booms of tank cannons could be heard from Vassek, as the Vardian army closed in from all around, pressing the Dalek forces back. Serephir had finally reached the top floor, now making his way for the landing pad, his troops in tow...
