My new and improved artwork :D

Postby o-eternal-o » Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:32 pm

In my break from everything JPOG related, i really focused on my artwork. I find it so relaxing to just sit down infront of my computer and paint for hours on end. It's my favourite hobby :)

Anyway, i'd love to know what you guys think of my works ^-^

I have quite a few now, but i'll just post the links to a couple that i'm proud of.

I love this unicorn. She was the first 'character' i made up, and i feel this piece has finally done her justice :)

When I saw "Unicorn" in the first link, I thought it was going to be a calm and peaceful unicorn... but then I SAW THAT MONSTER
They're all kick@$$!

Good job on all of these, ERC. I like how you made the Bahumat look scary with those pupiless, glowing eyes.

Wow...really great stuff. The unique take on the Unicorn is really amazing. I was also wondering what your avatar was...now I understand, and it is equally awesome full-sized.

 That's one angry and demonic Unicorn.

Your artwork's spectacular. Over the top even. forget 10/10, try 9000/10!

Eternal have you considered making Painting your Job because I believe your paints are amazing!
They surpass the greatness of Mona Lisa and the Cistene(Spelling  ) Chapel. Ibelieve if you painted them on large canvas you could get alot of money at auction.

I like the lighting... Very impressive in Bahamut and Valefor. Do you draw on paper and colour electronically or do you use a drawing tablet for the whole thing?

I used to sketch on paper, then scan and do the rest in photoshop with my tablet. But now i've just started to work straight into photoshop, as i'm too lazy to get my scanner out all the time :P

I'd love to make a career out of it, but i don't think it's a very stable career path. Thank you :)

But that's another thing. I do them all digitally, and prints don't really sell for much.

Trying to survive as an artist just by selling paintings would be horrible IMO. Better to try get a job as a concept artist or something. You wouldn't be in charge of what your drawing, but at least you'd have a stable income.
