Crusher arrived at the old, damaged structures that were the Labs. he stepped through the large windowed area near the back, and made a growl that echoed throughout the building. he heard a sudden loud pair of clacks. he knew it was a raptor's claws hitting the Laboratory floor. he turned to see a familiar, elderly raptor. it was Ripper. Crusher growled "hello Ripper.". the Raptor responded with a bark "i know what it is you want. the massive Giga's origins and reason for it's attack? that is a story so old i barely remember it. and that is only because it used to live here as a hatchling, all the way to young adulthood.". Crusher growled "what.....is it? it can't be a normal Giga. it's too big, and it's head is strangely shaped. it doesn't look like a Giga. if it wasn't for the size and shape of it's body, i wouldn't know what it was.". the Raptor hissed "it....is the father of a Giga that you killed nearly a year ago. that grey one. this one is it's father. it's.....older than your father, and larger than......normal because it was practically swimming in that......polluted lake to the south west. it's head has been hit by about 3 different things belonging to the humans. it's head was the target of what the humans called a "rocket launcher". after that, it rammed a large human vehicle head on, and finally, it had the roof of a building collapse on it's head. after that, it has had about 20 fights with large rexes, and has killed every one it has fought. you are, however, the largest it has ever faced, at least from what i've seen. it would have to be.....fought by....a group. you can't fight it alone. you'd need raptors to slow it down, and your mate to help.....distract him if he manages to pull you to the ground. the only thing i think could cause a tie in strength between you two is raptors and your mate backing you up. otherwise, you'd be beaten.". Crusher growled in frustration at this news. he growled "why haven't i seen it before? why didn't i see it in the years i roamed the island, before i took a territory for myself?". The elderly raptor hissed "it.....left the island.....chasing Suchos that had killed....it's mate.......and followed them...to an island to the south. they lived there for several years....and have now returned. the Suchos heard of Thrasher's demise after coming across a Bary, and have now....returned to take the island from...the new dominant predator. the Giga chased them......and now both have returned. the Suchos, being better at swimming, arrived first......and attacked you. the Giga is here now, so they...will stop. they will seak help from their....relatives, the Spinosaurs and Barys.......to help rid them of this....massive menace.....then they'll come after you. the Giga now want's the island for itself.the only way to do that....is to kill you.". Crusher absorbed the information the raptor just told him, then growled "and what if i kill it? would the Suchos continue harrassing me?". Ripper hissed "yes.....but not immediately. they would.....fear attacking you at first. that Giga has been chasing them for years. if you kill it, the creature they fear most is replaced by you. they would fear you.....but, after a while.....they will overcome their fear, and come after you....". Crusher growled "and where is the Giga now?". the raptor hissed "in the polluted lake........stay away from it......i don't want the son of my best friend becoming a mutant monster, killing everything it sees.....it would be a disrespect to your family......to do that.". Crusher nodded, and growled "i have a family to care for. if that Giga comes anywhere near them, i'll rip it apart.". Crusher was about to leave, when he felt something running on his back. he then heard Ripper hiss from above "also, Darkness is becoming insane. i saw him ripping at....a pool of water and at random patches......of grass, hissing something about......killing Scar and his pack. it would be wise to warn them if you see them, and be wary. he may be targeting you too". Crusher growled "Darkness? he disappeared a year ago! and now.....he's evil again?". Ripper hissed "yes. and, if your not careful, he could cause alot of trouble before anyone manages to pin him down. warn your friends, and be on the look out. there's no telling what he might do.....". Crusher nodded, trhen Ripper jumped off his back and went into the hallways he called home. Crusher followed, but when Ripper went round a corner, Crusher followed, to find the room completely empty. how'd he do that...? thought Crusher, then left the labs to warn Scar and his pack...

Exile hadn't liked the thought of the return of Darkness. But again, they were only assuming that it was him. How could they be sure? The raptors continued going south. They had nearly reached the sea. Exile could tell as she could smell the sea water in the air. She looked behind her at Scar. He seemed uncomfortable, forever alert. Maybe he was worried if Darkness returned. But Exile couldn't understand. Darkness had been nice to them when he finally left them. They had made a truce... hadn't they? She was confused, but if it was indeed the return of Darkness, she would probably find out why he acting this way...

Sharpclaw was angry at the assumption that Darkness returned. He promised that he would leave them alone for good! She growled in anger and continued following the pack.

Razorfang noticed his mother's anger. He slightly wondered why she was angry. He grunted and barked at her curiously. "Mother, what's wrong?"

At first, Sharpclaw glared at her son, but then her gaze softened at his curious look. "Darkness," replied the velociraptor with an edge in her growl. She knew that he didn't know anything about him. He was just in his egg at the time when Darkness attacked. "He's an enemy of the pack." She continued walking on.

Crusher arrived to where he had last seen the pack, and found they had left. he followed the scent until he found the pack, and growled "Scar!". Scar looked back at him, having known he was coming by the quakes that came as he walked, and hissed "what is it, Crusher? what's wrong?". Crusher growled "we have a couple of problems. one of them is a Giga that's even bigger than i am!". Scar showed a wide eyed, genuinely shocked expression on his reptilian face. Crusher was incredibly huge. a predator bigger than him seemed absolutely impossible. Scar overcame his surprise and hissed "and the second?". Crusher growled "Darkness has gone insane. he apparently wants to kill us all. that is a relatively minor thing for me, with this giant Giga coming to the island trying to take it over by killing me. i won't allow a Giga do to my family what Thrasher's father did to me and my brothers, sister and mother. if Darkness dares to come near my family, i'll tear him apart. you are the one most in danger of him now. i have a Giga with a true hatred of me for some reason, and i think that by far outweighs the threat of Darkness.". Scar showed a shocked look. "so it was him..." hissed Scar. Crusher growled "i expect he still has his hatred for SharpClaw, so i suggest you protect her and your close relatives. he seems to hate you more than anyone else now. you and SharpClaw seem to be his main targets. after that come the pack, me and my family.". Crusher waited for a response from one of the raptors in the shocked pack.....

Scar had been surprised to find Crusher following them. And it was even worse to know that Darkness had survived. The Velociraptor was stealthy, strong, smart, and persistant. I think that Darkness won't be to much of a problem if we can make it to the other raptors. They won't let a desperate solo raptor near their young, Scar growled. As for the Giga, if it's already found you and your family, you should consider moving out of the cave. Maybe into the mountains, or near the burnt down lab. Scar waited for Crusher's reply.

She was suprised to hear this news by Crusher. There is a bigger carnivore than Crusher to worry about and there is Darkness. They could probably handle Darkness with some help from the pack and Crusher, but the Giga? How are they going to defeat it? She growled at the grave news and listened to Scar. "We should fight it off somehow," growled Sharpclaw. "We could work together."

Crusher growled "the purpose of staying in the cave is to prevent very large, aggressive, dangerous predators from harming my family. anything big enough to harm my family is too big to enter the cave, and anything small enough to enter, is easily beatable with 2 large rexes in the family. Hunter and Rampage are enough to kill almost anything large enough to fit in the cave, i can't fit in there anymore. i sleep outside, under a rocky groove that has extended from the mountains. Fury can kill the fast enemies, and Rampage and Hunter can beat the larger, bulkier predators. leaving the cave would only make my family more vulnerable. we can fight the smaller ones off, but such a massive predator could do alot of damage before we finally fight it off.". he waited for a response...

We should go and help Crusher, Scar growled to Sharpclaw. But right now, the pack would need to get to the meeting point between the raptors, where the most of the juveniles would leave. It would give us time and energy to focus on Darkness. Scar wanted to continue onwards. He felt a little guilty for the sentry being killed, just because a single rogue wanted revenge on him for who-knows-what. If Darkness wanted to hurt him, he should just come out and fight him.

Darkness growled in fury as Crusher and the pack said their last few words.You'll tear me to shreds? That monsterious beast is more of a threat then me? We will see about that.... growled in all his anger.He saw the Rex turn away and he followed him quietly from up in the trees.Then Darkness jumped from the trees and brought down his full body weight in one slash.He hit the side of Crusher's head and fell to the ground.He bolted back into the jungle before Crusher had known he was there.He watched in wonder as he saw blood drip off of Crusher's head.Your not as strong as you make us think now are you? Just think, if that attack did that to you, what do you think it will do to say......Scar? Darkness hissed as he jumped through the trees toward Scar's pack.He spotted Scar but then saw a site that made him cringe.He saw Sharpclaw with her son.Now I have to deal with her ofsprings too? Darkness growled.His eyes had became blurred at the site of her.Blurred out of rage.Then he heard the booming roar of Crusher.He was angry and Darkness had to make his attack fast.Darkness lept from the trees and screeched as loud as possable as he ran toward Sharpclaw and her hatchling.He slashed raptors out of his way untill he had to dodge a blow from a raptor,only a few feet from Sharpclaw.He snarled and turned around to see Scar stareing him in the face.He bared his teeth in anger.Move.Now. Darkness growled angrly.Scar just took another swing at him but he dodged.He slashed the back of Scar's neck and Scar bit his arm.They fought for a minute then Darkness had a sense of danger behind him.Both Darkness and Scar turned and saw Crusher,in his rage colors,barring his teeth.Darkness was afraid,but for only a second.he bolted as fast as he could,faster then most raptors,and disappeared into the shadows hearing Crushers rage roar before he left......

That raptor, Scar growled, Is going to regret that. He turned to Crusher, and asked him if he was OK. The Tyrannosaur said yes, and the pack continued onward. When the group stopped to rest for the night, Scar posted 4 sentries around the rest of the pack. Darkness wasn't going to get through there.

Exile felt uneasy sleeping that night. Although the sentries should have vanquished her worries, they didn't. Darkness was out there, somewhere. And it scared her to think of him. She wasn't a target of him, but she still could be attacked. That sentry raptor was killed for no good reason. What if she was too?
She shuddered at the thought and peered at each of the sentry raptors through the darkness. Although they did there best to hide it, she could tell they felt uncomfortable guarding. The loss of the sentry had shaken them. And the news of a Giga larger and Crusher had shook them to the bone...

Sharpclaw was up this time, watching over her sleeping juvenile. She was not going to let Darkness take Razorfang away from her. She glanced to Exile and saw that she was having trouble sleeping. Her gaze softened and she barked gently to her, trying to comfort her. "Get some rest, Exile. I will watch over too."

Exile thanked SharpClaw and settled down to sleep. Despite her worries, though softened a bit thanks to SharpClaw, she finally fell asleep...

She was awakened by the sound of a monstrous roar. Leaping up out of fright, she turned to see the largest creature she had ever set her reptillian eyes upon. Larger than Crusher...
She heard panicked barks as the sentries rushed through the pack, alerting everyone to the intruder. But there warnings just swept past Exile. Her past was resurfacing. It was all happening again....
The mighty Giganotosaurus lashed his head downwards scooping up a raptor a flining him to side. He let out another mighty roar at started towards the rest of the pack.

Raptors were growling and running in all directions to escape the clutches of the huge Giganotosaurus. Sharpclaw growled awoke her son, who screeched in fear at the site of the carnivore.

The Giganotosaurus reached down for one of the sentry raptors and swallowed it in one bite. It let out a mighty roar, one even bigger than Crusher's record breaking roars.

Sharpclaw was suprised by this mighty dinosaur. It was so large and so fearsome. Who was going to take it down? She let out a warning screech to all members, trying to wake them up, warning them about the dinosaur.

Scar was awoken by the screech of a panicing raptor. Suddenly alert, he looked around, and found their temoprary resting spot in chaos. Doing a quick count, he found that one of the raptors was already gone, probably swallowed by the giant Giganotosaurus. Quickly, he let out a screech, warning the Velociraptors to jsut try to outrun the titanic super-predator. Snatching up a juvenile in his jaws, he ran away from the Giganotosaur, into the denser jungle. The mutant would be too large to get through the thick forest.

Crusher was in the area, trying to track Darkness, who was difficult to track since he was going through the trees. after a while, Crusher gave up and settled down to sleep. just as he was about to go to sleep, he heard a booming roar that could only come from one thing: a very very large, overgrown Giga. he then heard several raptor screeches, and got up. it was Scar's pack. Crusher charged through the jungle, his colours changing to rage colours, as the thought of his friends being killed sank into his head. his massive, 22 inch long teeth fully bared, he charged into the clearing, making no attempt to warn the Giga, and rammed it. the giga left the ground, and came down several feet away. Crusher made an enraged roar, sounding as though 20 rexes were roaring in unison. the sound sent a shudder down the spines of every animal that wasn't already running. even the Giga shuddered. Crusher came over to it, and it suddenly swung it's head upward off the ground, catching him by the lower jaw. Crusher used it to his advantage and swung his head down, pummeling the Giga's jaws into the ground. it roared in pain, although the only damage delt was a few broken teeth and a pulled jaw muscle. Crusher backed off, to let it stand. he roared "why are you here! what have we done to you to make you want to kill us all!?". the Giga snarled "i am taking my place as the ruler of the island. your father and Thrasher's prevented me. now i will take what is rightfully mine!". it charged at Crusher, and nearly hit him, but Crusher was swift and intelligent enough to wait until the last moment, when it couldn't turn at him. he dodged at the last second, and the Giga rammed into a small clif face barely taller than itself. it stumbled, dizy. and roared another roar, and charged at Crusher, with it's jaws wide open. Crusher dodged, but was caught by the tail. as it tightened it's grip, pain rushed into Crusher's entire body. he turned his head and bit the Giga on the thigh, which was enough to make it let go. Crusher bit as hard as he could, as fast as he could, to try and disable the massive beast. as he was about to bite the whole thigh muscle off, he was pounded on the back, and that made him let go. it roared "I will get my place as the most dominant predator, Crusher. you'll live just long enough to see that!". it then turned around and ran off. Crusher made a furious rage/ victory roar. it was loud enough to be heard on the other side of the island. he then looked at the number of dead raptors. luckily, only 2 raptors had been killed. he growled "Scar!". the scar faced leader soon reappeared from the jungle, with a juvenile by his side. Crusher growled "is the pack safe?". he waited for a response.....

Exile had fled the scene. She had seen one raptor get killed, and heard the cries of another as she had turned her back. She wasn't going to witness the downfall of another pack. The first had shaken her enough. She wouldn't be able to cope with it happening again.

She had ran blindly through the undergrowth. Stopping, she listened intently. Roars were heard but the raptors barks were muffled by the distance. Panicking once more, she carried on sprinting as far as she could away from the scene of chaos...

I'm not sure, Scar growled. I'm sure that most of the pack managed to escape, but I saw at least one die. He looked around, and saw only 4 others had returned by now. Others, he could here coming back, but it was difficult to tell with the sound of the tides at the nearby channel. Scar began to wait for the others to return...

Note: Razor has been renamed Chomper for a plan i have. Razor is reserved for the next in Crusher's family...

Crusher growled in annoyance. the pack scattered. that was out of character for a raptor. the fact that they scattered ment that they wouldn't be very effective at protecting themselves against predators unless he was around. he made another victory roar, hoping to bring back some of the lost raptors. most of the pack returned when they heard him, but a few were still missing. Exile was one of the ones that hadn't returned. Crusher growled "you have the choice of joining my family in the cave, or continuing and risking another attack. i am going to return to the nest and watch over my family.". with that, Crusher turned, and left the area, heading for the nest. he was alert all the way, ready to rip whatever attacked him to pieces. he wasn't attacked, and he arrived at the nest safely. his family were still safe. Chomper was curled up tight, wrapped up against his mother, keeping him safe. Hunter was on guard, and Rampage and Fury were resting. Crusher growled "Hunter. you can rest. i'll guard the nest.". Hunter nodded sleepily and went inside the cave, got down and went to sleep. Crusher stood guard, ready for anything that came anywhere near the cave...

As soon as Crusher left, Scar turned and faced the assembled pack. He's right, Scar growled, We are vulnerable to another attack. Should we abandon the migration until next year and return to the cave, or should we continue on? He waited for a response from the disarryed pack
