The Hornet scanned the man up and down, regarding the microphone with some curiosity, as well as his other electronics. The machine droned out "Fire away." And then turned to the table, walking over and inspecting what they had laid out. He'd already made up his mind about Nexus industries. This place was a mess. After passing over the materials they had laid out. He eventually knelt down on one knee, taking hold of a welder and dismantling it, cannibalising it for small components, setting aside the pieces he wanted and putting the rest in a pile.

The man raised up the clip board, a pen in hand, tapping the board. "First things first...what is your name?" The scientist asked, eyeing the methodical approach the robot took...

The Hornet replied without looking up "Peter"

He begun examining the service drone, wondering how he could put it to use.

The scientist scribbled something down before asking "And why were you created...Peter?"

The Hornet suddenly dragged his hand down the service drone's side, his welder cutting it open. With a quick movement, he had disabled the machine's power supply, just in case it tried to resist. He replied again "To study things, or as an experiment. Not sure."

"...An experiment...with weapons...interesting..." The man said, scribbling some more." Deviant interjected "Are you MAD!? Your believing this thing!?" The scientist simply said "Its story is meaningless. Its past is meaningless. Only what it does from this point forward is important." He turned to te Hornet, and said "You are a marvel of science and machinery. Obviously you are capable of sentiant thought and, as such, you will be regarded as nothing less than human in Nexus...that is, if you wish to join us..."

The Hornet responded blankly "The weapons are for self defence primarily. Sure, how much do you pay?"

Looking away from the materials it had assembled, the Hornet turned its attention towards it's own battered body and began making small cuts into it, marking and preparing the damaged parts to be reformed...

"We pay in resources. Should you find yourself in such a way as you are now, we would be more than willing to assist you" The scientist said, tapping his clip board again. "Fight for the good of the people and we make sure S.H.I.E.L.D wont get at you, we got a deal metal man?"

The hornet slid it's hand into one of the incisions, sparks and light shining out of it. He looked up, showing interest for the first time and responding "Right. This stuff isn't much use to beyond shoddy repairs. If I set out a list of compounds and components do you think you could acquire them for me? Then I'll consider your request."

Their destination was a small house. When Ira landed and they entered the building, the first thing she did was turn to Yoruichi and say, "Go take a shower. When you're finished we'll eat and then I'll show you where you can sleep." Yoruichi, on her part, was wary. "Why are you doing this?" she asked cautiously. Ira's honey-colored eyes narrowed. "I told you. You need training and I can teach you." "You're only a few years younger than I am," Yoruichi murmured. "How can you teach me?" Ira smirked faintly. "I may be younger than you, Yoruichi," she said, "But I'd bet money that I know more about controlling my fire than you do." Yoruichi winced. "Point taken," she said, reminded that she had almost no knowledge on the subject. Ira nodded shortly. "Go shower. Bathroom's upstairs, the second door on the left. Kitchen and lounge are through there," she added, jabbing her thumb at a door behind her. "Library is that way." the amber eyed demon nodded to a short hallway. "It's the door you come to at the end of the hall. I don't think I need to tell you not to go through any of the other rooms," she added in a growl. Yoruichi shook her head and started up the stairs to take her shower. "Oh, and Yoruichi," Ira called after her. The red-eyed teen paused, looking back at the other girl. "You should probably be aware that if your...friends turn up," Ira said, "I'll probably head for my room. Not that I think it's very likely they'll find this place," she added. Sensing the conversation was done, Yoruichi started heading up the stairs again. She found herself looking forward to that shower.

"Be my guest" The scientist said, hand slipping into his a pocket in his coat, just by his waist. He plucked a transperant plastic CD cover, the disk glinting with many colors as he held it in the light. "You may upload your specs onto here and we will order in a shipment ASAP"

The Hornet continued reshaping his armour, replying "Nice try. I'll give you a list of what I want. No specs."

"You cant blame a scientist for aking can you?" The man said with a chuckle, slipping the disk back into his pocket. He then said "Tell us what you need. I have to get to other business, so I bid you goodbye"

Deviant stood still as the scientist's foot steps began to recede. He had yet to comprehend that they just made a pact with the strange robot...

The Hornet took some of the salvaged materials and begun examining them, saying to Deviant "So what do you want help with again?"

Deviant simply turned from the Hornet, saying as he walked away "Just tell us what you need and you'll get it" He stopped at the elevator. He pressed the button and waited a few seconds, sparing one last glance at the android before the elevator dinged. The door slid out and the hero stepped inside, the door closing soon after...

The retangular door to a large hanger gave off a mechanical hum. It then opened, two halves of the metal door sliding apart. On the outside, there was a card inserted into a slot. Over this slot was a green display. On this display, the words access granted could be seen. On the ground under it was an unconscious agent. A figure, larger than any human, stepped into the well lit but vacant gray paneled chamber. Finally, he had got to his goal. His space craft was in the hanger, suspended by chains attached to some sort of mechanical arm. The front of the ship was still covered in dirt and grass, which, unfortunately, meant a dirty blind spot when he flew. Galaak cursed under his breath, but quickly pulled his mind away from the problem. He could easilly clean it. For now, he needed to escape the world's most secretive and well guarded millitary base. The alien approached his ship. He hadn't seen its blue panels in what seemed like ages. His gaze turned to the device on his wrist. He tapped on the device's many buttons as he approached it, a remote command to the ship. "Initiate Nanobot repair sequence" He said in his native tongue. A green progress bar appeared in the device's display, taking up the entire screen at first, before moving to the upper right corner. "Initiate all Start-up programs" He added soon after. A low hum eminated from the craft. The chains began to rattle. A green glow escaped the ship's engine. The chains suddenly slackened, the space ship hovering in what seemed like a field of zero gravity. Galaak put in another command via his device. Whirring went off as several circular panels on the top of the ship popped up, under each panel being a small turret. The guns aimed at the chains and fired, red bolts of plasma hitting and severing the connection. The ship then descended slowly. Three silver landing gear slid out of the craft's underside. They touched the ground gently. A circular panel at the hull's center opened like the iris of a camera. A bright beam of light shone out of it. As the Ascatian was about to step into his ship, alarms went off. The lights in the hanger shot off, red flashing lights activating in their place. "Damn!" Galaak snarled. He rushed into the beam of light, finding himself weightless and rising into the craft. The iris panel shut when he was inside of the ship. The alien made his way up the ship into his command modual, sitting in the chair. Various displays around him lit up and streamed various alien symbols that comprised of the Ascatian alphabet. The display on his wrist device went black. Another display that was to Galaak's right displayed the Nano-Repair status. 10%. By now, basic atmospheric flight and some weapons were active. Shields were still down.It was good enough. The legs folded in on themselves and rose back into the ship. The craft hovered above the ground. Clattering could be heard as agents and soldiers ran down the hallway, just about to pour into the hanger. Panels just by the craft's crescent wings flipped open, revealing the craft's missile pods. Two of the stream lined rockets shot out of the pods and arced towards the back of the hanger, which just happened to be where the experimental aircraft were deployed; this information being gathered when Galaak pilfered a digital map of the base from the unconcious soldier. The missiles exploded, blowing a hole in the thick metal sheet. The craft suddenly shot forwards out of the opening, as silent as the air itself, but fast as lightning. The soldiers burst through the door, assualt rifles at the ready, only to see their target had escaped...

from the outside...it seems as though a hole had been blown out in the rock face that was just outside of the dried up Groom Lake... the surface installation looming on the southern shore, bathed in moon light..

Having preped the interior of his arm and having repaired or replaced the damaged parts, the Hornet suddenly began flexing the still battered arm, using his other hand to mould it into shape, the alloy strangely malleable. The repairs were complicated but made easier by features such as that. He could soften the metal easily. It wouldn't take long to be basically finished, but from the tools he had availible to him here, he could work for weeks upon weeks and still not be finished with whath e could possibly do.

There was a rattling as a drone approached the Hornet. Its treads clattered against the metal. It stopped at the android's side, beeping to announce its obvious pressence, before its "chest plate" opened, which was the majority of its body. A tiny metal arm stretched out, holding a small disk, a digital map of the entire complex, so the robot can get aquainted with the Nexus Hive structure...

The craft cut through the skies, passing over the desert as it made its way eastward. The alien pilot's eyes glanced from display to display, watching as the nanobots went about their repairs. His hands were in an orb of light that was projected infront of him, twisting his hands and bending his fingers in sequences being how the ship was flown. The interior was bathed in a dark red light. "Access probe data" Galaak spoke in his alien language. Symbols began scrolling across a display. "What!?" The alien snarled to himself. "There hasnt been any craft that the probe detected?!" He was silent, thinking. "Cross refference, Earth date, 1947 with Ascatian records" He finally said after several moments. There was another moment's silence as the ship converted Earth years to Ascatian years, and then searching for the equivillent of 1947.

"Ascatian Year: 19,456- Expansion of the Ascatian star map in galactic sector 13. Data was compromised- explorers never returned" Appeared, written in the strange symbols.

"Well that explains it..." Galaak snarled. "No commercial space craft travel all this way... " He reffered back to the data placed in his mind while he was in the base. "..The humans call this star system sol...galactic sector 13...imprint into data base"

Galaak's voice was recorded and stored in the ship's data bank.
"And so... I am stuck here until the warp drive is complete... I just hope that asteroid strike didnt damage it too badly"

The probe that Galaak deployed when he crashed sent back one last peice of data... a 3D satalite image map of the planet...

When Yoruichi came back downstairs, her long hair pulled back into a dripping ponytail, she found Ira leaning against the back of a comfortable-looking dark red couch. "Shall we eat?" Ira asked, cocking her head. Yoruichi's stomach complained. She'd last eaten before that robot had attacked. Now her needs were making themselves known. She nodded eagerly, making Ira crack a small smile. "Come on, then." She led Yoruichi into the kitchen.

As the alien pilot looked onto the horizon, he couldnt help but think as to what was going on back in the base... were the humans planning to hunt him down? Possibly. An advanced alien being in an armed space craft... what was standard features for an Ascatian cruiser might fit as a vehicle of war in human eyes. His eyes focussed on a display. Repairs were about 20 percent complete, basic navigation and autopilot regained. He looked forward to getting cloaking capabillities back. He turned to the navigation read out. It showed the ship's location with a blue issoceles triangle. Where ever the tip of the triangle pointed was where the ship was heading relative to the map aquired from the probe. The map itself was unimpressive, as it was currently just the bottom of the North American continent, laiden with light blue criss crossing lines. Basic navigation- atleast it helped Galaak no where he was heading...

Once they'd eaten, Ira fixed Yoruichi with an intense amber stare. "Are you ready to start now?" she asked emotionlessly. When the black-haired teen nodded, Ira said, "Good. Better to start now than later." She cracked her neck, making Yoruichi wince, and went on, "Call your fire. Don't do anything with it, just call it." "Um...okay..." Yoruichi tried, feeling for the fire that burned within her blood. But the second she started noticing the green haze, she pulled back, terrified she'd end up hurting Ira or burning the house down. "No, don't resist it," Ira hissed. "See through the haze. Keep control. Now...call your fire." Yoruichi took in a breath and reached for her fire again, trying not to flinch away when she started seeing green. "Good," Ira said suddenly, sounding pleased. "Now just hold it in your hand." The black-haired demon realized suddenly that there was a small flame in the center of her palm. Fear started to grip her. "Relax," Ira teen growled. "Let the fire breathe a little. Now...make it a little bigger." "Bigger?" Yoruichi asked, startled and more than a little afraid. In that moment's loss of concentration, the flame went out. Ira stared at her for a second. Then the amber-eyed teen let out a long sigh. "Again. This time, don't let it go out."
