I like the boltok pistol better than the sniper rifle/ longshot/ whatever it is. However, the grinder is simply brutal.

THough I expected KP to be the last man standing

setup time + slow rate of fire + immense numbers of teleporting enemies nullifying my range advantage = instant death for me >_<

and my robotic bodyguard just didn't have the power to hold back all those enemies...

Where's the melee weapons? I'd think they'd have something to allow you guys to stand a chance at melee range.

Ouch...

I guess this is one case where Admin Powers don't come through for you...

Ha. if i COULD use Admin powers in there the whole game would've ended the second it started :P

but yeah. to G4E's inquiry, there ARE Melee weapons, and generally melee is half melee and half ranged. however, to use a ranged weapon as ridiculously powerful as mine [a single shot could take out like 7-10 average enemy units if fired at the right time and in the right place], i have to lose my ability to fight melee. i still do melee damage, but it's so weak i may as well not have it. so to compensate i had the mecha, a Dreadnought, or Dready as Doc, TT and I affectionately called him :P . he usually protected me at close range by pounding the everloving crap out of anything that got close enough to engage me in melee. but sadly, it's AI controlled, meaning it does stupid stuff every now and again, for example, walking off to fight a random enemy that shot it with a pathetically weak weapon while the majority are concentrating on me, Doc and TT and mauling us. or crushing the cover that was keeping us safe, or killing an enemy at the end of a wave before we had recovered from it, leaving us in bad condition when we enter the next wave of enemies and subsequently getting ourselves killed [though, as TT said, we managed to do really well the last time, not dying until the wave before last [only in Doc's case, since he was being mauled by 3 mechs, who were tag teaming the two of us. i managed to retreat before they killed me, but Doc wasn't so lucky >_<]...

Ya, Doc was using a melee weapon, as he was "tanking" for us. I was using BIG SHOOTA (AKA a machine gun) and KP was using his plasma cannon of doom (The same plasma cannon that killed me, as it was fired from Nega KP, one of the bosses in wave 20).

And Dready is useful, but a dumbsh*t. On wave 18, only this one really strong boss was left, and he was relatively harmless, if you didn't let him get close (Which for me, having teleporting powa, was easy). I was leading him around the map, so Doc could plant his explosives for wave 19, and Dready, like the *sshole he is, kept waddling after the boss, smacking him so he would be the one attacked, then waddled AAAALL the way back to KP, so the boss would prematurely detonate the explosives Doc set up.

Wish there was a self destruct feature for that thing D:<

Sometimes, the AI can REALLY screw you over with ease...

For instance, I remember the last time played Halo Wars a few months back. It was on Memorial Basin, me(as Anders) and my ally AI(as Regret) vs the Arbiter and Brute Chieftain. My ally refused to take a second base for himself, so for 45 minutes of the game, he only had unupgraded Spartans and Marines while I was holding back 2 foes with my fully upgraded squadrant of Vultures, Hawks, Scorpions, and infantry units. Finally, my ally took a second base, which was to his riight, and all I had to do was st back and watch as he single handedly manhandled my foes...

In LotR: Conquest, I've had my allies just stare the enemies down while I'm getting my butt handed to me. I'm yelling at the TV, "You stupid dudes!!! Help, me, shoot them, at least heal me!!!" Then I die.

Yeah, that game pisses me off, but it's fun.

in other news, I just defeated that worm thingy in darksiders. Now I'm looking for "Silitha".

The wave before it always gave us trouble in the past. Rather then stay in our designated area and die, I teleported off to the other side of the map, and about 3-4 giant robots followed me. This allowed KP and Doc to finish off the rest of them (A bunch of space marines and a few robots) while I was fleeing for my life, slowly killing the b*stards chasing me.

And I arrive back to the designated area and all Doc has to say is "Good job" D:<

I love how you forgot to mention my field of det charges, without which you would have been shot to pieces. Remember that one tac squad which gave you so much trouble? imagine if it had been 400, as it was before I nuked most of the map to kingdom come :P

My primary job was planting those bombs and soaking up damage. thats how we managed to survive wave 10 without any deaths. Usually they plasma rape me and TT (I used to have a teleporta as well) but that time I was able to take all their attention and keep him safe.
