"Have Coldeyes appoint a few. though i want Nightclaw with them" he growled. he wanted to make his son more flexible with timing. to be less dependent on set sleeping times...

Snowstar nodded. "It shall be done" He mewed simply. He'll tell Coldeyes to assemble the cats in a few minutes, for now, he wanted to be finish his pondering...

"Oh, and...Snowclaw, you alright?" growled Wraith, a tone of conscern audible in the tom's voice, worried over his friend's condition as of late...

Wraith felt a faint smirk pull at the corners of his mouth, but he was still somewhat conscerned. "Well...if you insist you're ok" he growled. "This den's a bit too dark and gloomy for most cats to handle. staying here too long will kill you if your not careful. get outside more. go have a long walk through the territory, through the trees. a change of scenary" he added, curling his tail around and against his side. "Remember, there's no harm in coming to talk if there's something bothering you" he meowed as he looked over at the Co-Leader...

"Your heart's in a good place, Wraith. Ill tell you that." Snowstar mewed as he got to his feet. He stretched out. "Shadelight's lucky to have you- likewise you to have her" He added before trotting out of the den. He'd take Wraith's advice, move through the boarder. Around now, he'd have missed the dusk patrol leaving, but he'd follow their path. He stopped by the entrance, mewing to Coldeyes "Gather the night vigil- Shadowsoul requests Nightclaw to be one of the cats." The deputy's ear twitched. "Ill get right on that" He got up as well and started over to the warrior's den. With that, Snowstar made his way out of the clan.

Once he got to the den, Coldeyes yowled. "Hawkclaw! Nightclaw! Prepare for night vigil and get your pelts down to the entrance by sun down!"

Wraith smiled. Yep...he'll be fine....so long as he keeps out of here... he thought, looking back at the Leader's Den. personally, he enjoyed the solitude of dark places. his side of the den was even deeper than the rest because that meant less light reached it, making it darker, just for the solitude and peace he felt in dark places. but he knew that Snowstar didn't share that opinion of it. and even if he thought it did, his recent moods were enough to prove otherwise. with that, Wraith lay his head on his crossed paws with the intention of resting for an early morning the next day. he began thinking about how he'd plan things the next day...he had had to rush through Thunderclan's territory because of the deteriorating state of Demontalon's foreleg, but again, he had no idea how much of that territory now belonged to Novaclan...

Nightclaw looked up, silently heading towards the Camp Entrance, though he honestly wanted a good night's sleep after having woken up early to please his father. to his disappointment, his father had been so busy he hadn't even had the chance to see him. looking up at the sky, he decided he still had a bit of time to see him before he had to be there for Night Vigil, so he changed direction and headed for his father's den...

Wraith looked up at a faint change of what little light got through the entrance, his amber eyes glinting in the darkness. "I was worried i wouldn't get to see you today, Nightclaw" growled the black tom's voice in the darkness. a smirk came from Nightclaw as he heard his father's words, happy to know he hadn't been forgotten in the chaos of the day. "Wanted to see you at least once today, dad" mewed the younger tom. "Aah...so you still find time for your old tom even in the busiest time of your life....that's reassuring to know. but what about your mother? have you seen her today?" responded Wraith. Nightclaw looked at his paws, somewhat ashamed. "N-no, i don't suppose i have...was so wrapped up with roaming the territory and trying to find possible sources of food, mouse dens and such, for leaf bare...i was so distracted i didn't think of mum at all....or Stormheart or Sunclaw either" he mewled. "Don't worry. i'm sure they'll understand you were busy trying to benefit the clan. You're at an age where it's important to prove yourself to your Clan-mates. show them that you're a vital member of the Clan. just....don't try too hard, alright?" meowed Wraith. Nightclaw smiled. "Absolutely..." responded the younger tom, trailing off for a moment, a conscerned look on his face. Wraith watched expectantly, Nightclaw speaking again a few moments later. "um...are you sure mum won't be upset?". Wraith smiled, happy to see his son actually worried about what his parents thought of him. "Nah. don't worry about it. just don't let it become a habit, alright? of the two of us your mother's the more social. Knowing her, she'd like nothing more than to hear how her kits are doing and how their lives are going" Nightclaw nodded, smiling. "Now, go get to the Camp Entrance for your vigil before Coldeyes throws a fit at you for not being precisely on time. wouldn't want to ruin your reputation for being early now, would you?" meowed Wraith. Nightclaw chuckled. "Hey, if he asks i'll just say 'I was with Shadowsoul'. can't say anything to that, can he?" responded the young Warrior. Wraith chuckled lowly before growling "I don't suppose he could. still, best not to have to say anything in the first place. afterall, what she-cat wants a tom with a reputation for being late?". Nightclaw's ears fell back as he started to paw circles in the floor of the den. "Well, when you put it that way..." mewed the Warrior. the elder tom laughed at the reaction and growled "Then get moving so you don't have to worry about that in the first place!". Nightclaw looked up, as if realising some grave mistake, before heading out of the den, looking over his shoulder and mewing "See you tomorrow, dad.....if i don't fall on my face with exhaustion first". Wraith smirked as he saw his son head off to the Camp entrance, before laying down, letting himself fall asleep...

The cats that made up the dusk patrol returned some time later, the sun had gone down and the forest shrouded by the dark of night. Outside of the clan, the white pelted leader had fallen asleep on a tree branch, his mind finally at ease....

The fridgid night passed. The moon was disappearing, though the sky was still dark. Dawn had yet to come, yet Snowstar had awoken. He yawned and stretched out on the branch before hopping back down to the forest floor, landing on leaf litter with a soft rustle. He moved torwards the clan. Wraith should be awake by now...

Hawkclaw yawned and stood, stretching muscles that had cramped overnight. She gave her dark brown tabby pelt a brisk shake, trying to get rid of the night's chill. "Brrr! What a night to be stuck with guard duty," she mewed, giving her shoulder a lick.

Lightstorm slid out of the warriors' den, glancing around the camp. Not many cats were up yet. Robinflight slid out of the den behind him. "Must've been quite a night," the deputy commented, noting the frost encrusting the dying bracken fronds. "I feel bad for Hawkclaw and Nightclaw." The dark gray tabby stretched, yawning widely. With a nod to Lightstorm, Robinflight padded over to his usual tree and leaped onto one of the roots.

The silver tabby's eyes opened, staring lazily at his surroundings, before becoming wide-eyed at some realization. "Where...am I...?" he meowed quietly to himself, trying to remember the night before. The den he was in was not yet illuminated by the sun, so he suspected it was early morning. Upon closer inspection, he finally realized that he was in the medicine den. Surprisingly, the tabby was not tired...he must've been sleeping for quite some time. Unable to see Cloudhaze at the time, Silverstripe silently stood, hoping to look about the medicine cat's inventory...

"You can look, tom" A famillier voice said, close to Silverstreak's ear. "But you cant...touch" As she finished her statement, Cloudhaze batted the back of Silverstreak's head. "Have you come to terms with realitty yet?" She mewed, taking note of the cat's reaction...

Silverstripe sighed, foiled yet again. "Yes yes I'm fine...I think." he meowed stubbornly, turning toward the entrance of the den.

Blazeheart had had a restless night. He had been tormented by dreams, dreams of his brother's accusing stare. "Why didn't you protect me, brother?" the ginger tabby tom had demanded softly, as Blazeheart struggled to speak. "Why didn't you fight harder? Why weren't you there when I needed you?" "But I was there!" Blazeheart had protested. Sunstorm had stood there, shaking his head, giving his brother that sad look. Blazeheart had jolted awake, only to see Sunstorm's mangled body when he finally managed to get back to sleep. His brother's voice had hissed, "Your fault..." over and over. Eventually, Blazeheart had given up trying to sleep and just stared at the den wall. Now he yawned widely, exhausted. Would Sunstorm really have blamed him? He buried his nose under his paws. Scared to sleep...almost too tired not to.

Silverstripe muttered angrily as he moved out of the den, looking around the darkened, largely inactive camp. He was still trying to piece together what had happened...he only remembered going into the medicine den to try and trick Cloudhaze. The silver tabby sat down near the warrior's den, staring off into the sky, deep in thought.

Smokestorm, who had also taken refuge in the Warrior's den, brushed his wing against Blazeheart's shoulder to get his attention. "Hey, you okay? You look exhausted." He sat nearby, taking a bit of time to stretch the stiffness out of his sore limbs.

Springtail, the first of StormClan's Elders to awaken, cautiously poked her head out of the den, not too excited on walking out into the cold dawn. Spotting Silverstripe walk out of the Medicine Cat's Den, she suppressed a smile, remembering the number of times she had had to deal with him as Medicine Cat herself...

Renny wasn't in the fox den with Insolitus by the time the sun came up. He sat outside, apparently ignorant of the cold, staring out across forest in the general direction of the sunrise...

Blazeheart lifted his head and smiled faintly at the gray warrior. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just...bad dreams."

Insolitus stretched with a huge, jaw-cracking yawn. "I'm up, I'm up," he muttered to no one, slitting open one blue eye. He jerked his head up when he noticed he was alone in the den. Renny's scent was still fresh, but fading. He couldn't have left too long ago. The loner got to his paws slowly and padded out of the den, somewhat surprised to see Renny sitting just outside. "Morning," he greeted the former kittypet, fluffing his fur out to block the worst of the chill.

Smokestorm nodded, then paused, thinking for a moment. His normally hard, serious eyes softened s he stared out of the den, before he finally mewed. "I know what it's like to lose a sibling, too. Not fun, that's for sure."

Renny started and whirled around, eyes darting around. "Whozzat?!" After a moment, he sat back down, calm again. "Oh... morning..."

Insolitus blinked, surprised. "Uh...you okay?" he asked tentatively.

Blazeheart cocked his head. "No..." he murmured, sitting up. "It's not. I feel like I've lost a leg or something..." He sighed.

Renny didn't meet Insolitus' gaze. "Uh, yeah, fine, perfect, even!" he mewed.

Smokestorm sat down and curled his tail around his paws. "I'll give you some advice: you're never going to get over what happened, but it'll get less painful over time. You're just going to have to wait a while. I'm sure being a part of StormClan will be plenty of distraction for you," he added with a smile.
