She blinked and cocked her head. Then she nodded once more, accepting her leader and former mentor's words. Blazeheart watched their interaction, wondering if what Shadowsoul said was true. Was it really experience that changed them, rather than heartbreak and loss?

"Life isn't changed simply through tragedy....i used to think so....but a few key events in my lifetime have taught me otherwise" growled Wraith, as if meaning it as an actual response to an unasked question, though the fact it was an expansion upon a thought of what he had just said was closer to the truth...

[Hopeflower]

Demontalon mewed softly, "Like a broken bone that heals, and becomes twice as strong as before. Tragedy breaks it - time, and better experiences, heals it." Her brother gave her an odd look. "Where do you come up with this?" he asked her, mostly joking.

[The Kingpin]

Wraith chuckled. "It is true, though" growled the tom, glancing up at the starlit sky...

[Hopeflower]

Blazeheart stretched his jaws in a huge yawn. "I'm...gonna go get some rest," he mewed, blinking a few times. Demontalon watched him go, wondering if he would be alright.

[The Kingpin]

Wraith watched the tom go, smiling. once he was out of earshot he looked over at Demontalon, catching her conscerned gaze, his tail brushing her flank reassuringly as he growled "He'll be fine"...

[Hopeflower]

"I pray you're right," Demontalon meowed, turning her head to look at Wraith. She wrapped her tail over her paws, ignoring the dull pain in her shoulder. "He's really torn up..."

[The Kingpin]

"I understand how he feels" growled Wraith lowly. "It's not easy to lose someone you care so much for" he murmured...

[Hopeflower]

Demontalon lowered her head. No. Not easy at all. After a moment of silence, she mewed, "I should get back to the den before Cloudhaze finds out I slipped outside." She pressed her nose into the black tom's fur and whispered, "Thank you." Then she got to her paws and headed back into the medicine den, thinking over what had just happened.

Renny nearly bumped into Blazeheart as he walked casually out of the den. "Whoa, oops, sorry! I was just, you know, taking a stroll."

[Hopeflower]

"In the middle of the night?" Blazeheart asked, fixing a tired amber gaze on the newcomer.

[dinoman666]

"Well, the night's kind of... refreshing. It's not a bad thing to leave during the night, is it?" Renny asked, cocking his head.

[The Kingpin]

Wraith smiled as he watched after his former apprentice, waiting for a few moments until the last of the clan activity had deadened, before standing, and walking towards his den, entering the shadowy corner of it and laying down to rest...

[Hopeflower]

"So long as you don't leave the camp I think it's fine," Blazeheart meowed, brushing past the brown tom. "Myself, I prefer to sleep at night..." He slid into the den and found his nest, curling up and swiftly falling asleep.

Renny shrugged and walked into the camp, sitting down at the entrance to the camp. He looked up at the surrounding trees, eyes wide as he spotted eyes staring back. "So..." a voice hissed sibilantly. "How are you, my friend?..."

A short time later, Renny was back in the den, curled up asleep again, fidgeting a bit in his obviously uncomfortable slumber...

several hours later, the black tom was once again up. the sun wasn't up yet, and dawn was a short while away, the tell-tale glow on the horizon still nowhere to be seen. he stood in the shadows within the den, his amber gaze drifting across the camp. deciding it was still a bit early for his morning walk, he decided to check on the various dens in the camp, starting with the Elders...


meanwhile, Nightclaw lay, restless, his sleeping broken up and short, spending the gaps between his moments of slumber glancing across the Warrior's Den for a sign of abnormality. he had caught sight of the so called kittypet fidgeting in his sleep, eying it occasionally...

Snowstar, long awake because of his early sleep, spotted Wraith exit his den. He chuckled inwardly. The shadowy tom was ussually the one looking from the distance, not him...

Insolitus stirred, his blue eyes blinking open. Slowly, he sat up, careful not to wake any other cats. He wasn't sure that he'd ever get used to sleeping in the same den with so many of them. His sleep had been uneasy, the gray tabby half expecting to be chased off during the night. He yawned trying to stay awake, before starting to step carefully over and around the sleeping cats. He was used to getting up early. He remembered being woken to greet the sun along with the cats he'd grown up with, and thank Jagara for a new day. He supposed cats didn't do that here...but he saw no reason why he couldn't. Exiting the den, Insolitus sat down and started washing his pelt.

Snowstar's gaze turned from Wraith to the newly joined cat. He cocked his head curiously. He was asleep when he and his kitty pet friend joined the clan, but seeing as the cat came out of the Warrior's den, he assumed Insolitus was a newly joined Stormclan tom...

Renny started awake, mumbling something about "ghosts in the trees" before regaining his composure. He looked around warily, making sure he didn't inadvertently wake any other cats up...
