The pokeflute is a device that dates back to the origional Red/Blue version. It awakens any sleeping Pokemon. Story-wise, you use it to wake up one of two sleeping Snorlax on your way to Fuscia City.

In HG/SS, you cannot get the Pokeflute itself, but on your radio, you can find a station that plays Pokeflute music. THis is needed to wake up-you guessed it- a sleeping Snorlax on your way to Pewter Ciity...
