"No..." Aircrest growled, raising a scaley eyebrow at Switchblade. "They were normal enough. The only mutant- if I could call him that- Ive met was a creature named Darkness. Apparently he has a reputation, but its slipped by me" He barked, cocking his head.

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade seemed slightly crestfallen for a moment, then visibly tensed at the mention of the black raptor. "Darkness..." she hissed with a note of bitterness. She was silent for a few seconds before hissing, "I hope I never see him again... ugh, long story... Nearly killed a couple of my friends once. I'm lucky to be alive..."

[C S]

"Well would'ja look at that, another one who doesnt like him. Not suprising" Aircrest growled. "But the raptor that was his friend, Fatalis was nice. Before you say it- yes, Darkness having friends suprised me too"

[Pyronychus]

The Lili gazed away into the greenery, thinking back months ago to when the group was still together. "Huh. I didn't know he still had friends now, but I knew he had some in the past... when he wasn't like he is now... Believe it or not, he and I used to live in the same group. Again, long story..."

[C S]

"Not interested" Aircrest growled, matter of factly. "I'd rather know how life's been treating you since you lost your group. Thats a lot more fetching than some story about a happy extended family and all that crap"

[Pyronychus]

"Not sure if 'happy' would be the word I'd use, but anyway..." the Lili muttered, putting thoughts of the group out of her mind before continuing. "The group I lost when I came here is actually a different one. One of my friends lead me to it after the first group split up... It's a large pack of mutant raptors with one other Liliensternus... That's why I was curious about the raptors you mentioned..."

[C S]

The raptor barked "Well thats quite something...Ive never heard about creatures living with mutants. I always thought mutants were insane and could only comingle with their own kind, depending on species, that is"

[Pyronychus]

"Huh. They definitely seemed as sane as anyone... And they were decent enough to take in my friend, Thorn when he was injured by... well... Darkness obviously," she hissed, pausing for a moment as she said the raptor's name, feeling another slight sting of anxiety and resentment. The Lili honestly didn't know what she'd do if she ever came face to face with the raptor again. "Well, anyway..." she simply trailed off, unable to think of anything to add...

[C S]

"Mutants are mutants because they drink from a lake tampered by humans..." Aircrest growled. "Anything that drinks from it find their bodies changing and their minds corrupted. You might as well count yourself lucky you havent met the more....aggressive ones..." The black striped raptor hissed, eyes narrowing at the Liliensternus. Taking the sudden break in her story as Switchblade not ready to dilvulge too much of her past to him, Aircrest growled "Sometime after I hatched, some raptors found me in a tree somewhere...thats why they gave me my name..." He sighed. "They always said my body was always ready to charge into something while my mind was always in the clouds; after they took me in that is. As...bad as it may sound...even if they supported me through hatchling hood, I never cared for my adopted parents, or my siblings." He paused, catching himself. "Well...that wasnt entirely true...I did care about my sister...but my brother said she died of disease some time ago..."

[Pyronychus]

The Lili didn't resume walking, simply staying where she was, listening, thinking of how she barely remembered her own family. Even to this day, she still felt incomplete whenever she thought of her lost pack. "Do you still... have any family left somewhere?" she inquired.

[C S]

"Dunno" Aircrest growled. "I was gonna go meet my adopted pack...see what was going on...but then that...incident happened" He barked, reffering to being captured. "All in all, the only relative I know of is me, myself and I" He added with a smirk.

[Iceking]

Shadow horn finished consuming the last piece of flesh on the dead body of a Gali he had killed, then began to walk to the right, heading toward an intersection only several meters away. The Carnotaur had not found much difference in life on the island he knew and this strange land. Though there were indeed many strange things here, the structures here still served as a jungle and some of the larger buildings were now caves for the creatures that claimed them as their own first...

[Pyronychus]

The Lili let out a light snicker. "That sounds a bit like me, actually... not having any known living relatives... Except that I knew them for the first few months of my life then... lost them. Not lost track of them, just... lost altogether..." she hissed, smile fading a bit, though she didn't intend to let the memories bother her too much at the moment.

[C S]

"Im...sorry..." Aircrest growled. "It must've been hard losing them that young" He hopped down from his perch, landing with a light thud in a patch of grass just under the tree he was in. Getting up from the crouch he was in, he turned about to look at Switchblade. "But it looks like lots of time has passed since that..." He barked, reffering to her size.

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade gave a slight nod, the gesture applying to both statements, hissing, "Yeah, it's been a while. The years have dulled it somewhat, though I still miss my sister and brothers now and then... I was no bigger than your average compy when the... Saurophaganax incident happened... And to think I was first found and taken in by a Spinosaur, of all things," she added with another small snicker.

[C S]

"Must've been nice, few things pick fights with Spinosaurs... though I just like messing with them..." Aircrest growled, smirking at the memory of the last one he met. "Though, I did meet someone in my life Ive grown to think of as family. Ripper"

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade raised a brow slightly, thinking Aircrest must have quite a bit of skill to survive encounters with Spinosaurs. It wasn't something she wanted to try herself any time soon. Then she cocked her head slightly at the mention of Ripper. "Hmm... I don't recall ever hearing about a Ripper... another raptor I'm guessing?"

[C S]

"The oldest one on the island, probably" Aircrest growled. "Took me in for a few months and taught me some survival skills, then let me go to better myself" He sighed. "After that, he's been checking up on me every now and again, even here." He barked. "He's the closest thing to family I have now..I plan on repaying him for all he did for me some day"

[Pyronychus]

"Huh," the Lili mused, thinking how, for a long time, her own survival skills left much to be desired. It really wasn't until she came to this new place that she began working diligently to improve her abilities. "It's good you found someone willing to teach you... I never did. My skills were seriously lacking for a while. Even now they're not great... How did you come across Ripper, if you don't mind me asking?"

[C S]

"The same way I meet most dinosaurs" Aircrest barked with a smile. "Wandering. Except that day I decided to check out those old ruins back on the island- they were made by the humans, the same creatures that probably made this place. Turns out Ripper made those labs his home, and after I met him, he kept me around and taught me until he was sure I could go off on my own." He growled. He thought about what the lili said about her skills. Maybe he'd lead her to Fatalis...after all, he did say he was part of the Lone Wolves at one point. If anyone would take Switchblade in, it would be him...
