"Mmm... guess so..." Switchblade hissed, the mild but detectable edge in her voice as stony as her amber gaze...

Sylicora and Rhojis remained silent, their eyes flicking to Fatalis and the newcomer whenever their heads rose from within what was left of the carcass' ribcage, expressions remaining relatively neutral...

"Wait..." the raptor responded. He looked up at Fatalis, his eyes widening. "You were a lone wolf? And now you're leading a pack?" Renegade hissed skeptically...

"Yes. i was a Lone Wolf. One of the first few. Now i've decided to start a pack. Decided life as a Loner was a dead end lifestyle. It's fun, adventurous, and full of experiences you won't get to see any other way...but it has it's flaws. I want something to show for my life when it's over. a family. a pack that can look back when i'm gone and say 'Fatalis brought us together. watched over us. helped us become what we are now'. I'd like to die knowing i helped someone other than myself live a better life...that's not something a Lone Wolf's life can give you" he growled. this would be the first time the true motives behind his decision to start a pack were revealed. he wondered what his pack mates would think...

Hellfire chuckled. "So what happened regarding the Megaraptor?" he hissed as he walked...

the Stegosaur grunted, bellowing at the source, as suddenly the trees right in front of it's head exploded, a gurgling roar coming from the Allosaur that lunged forward, Blade slamming his jaws shut on it's head, a muffled groan of surprise heard just before it was silenced, the herbivore struggling to get free as Blade raised a foot, putting it on the shoulder as he turned just enough to give him leverage, being careful not to get too close to the tail's range...

Renegade stared in awe. Fatalis' sheer logic was running him over.
"Alright... you have me convinced, for now, at leassst. But don't be sssurprised if I end up leaving, or getting kicked out. As I sssaid, I don't do so well within a group. But I'm willing to try. I'm in, for the moment," he finished, cocking his head slightly...

Howler looked up to listen to Fatalis' short speech, but quickly went back to eating. He had no problems with another pack member, that much was certain...

Alira bolted forward as soon as she saw Blade move, seeing Selena dashing in from the other side. The raptor leaped up and latched onto the struggling stegosaur's flank, digging her hand claws in as deep as they would go and slashing with her killer claws. Alira's first attack connected with the herbivore's shoulder and she bit down as hard as she could, feeling her teeth sink deep into the muscle. She braced one foot on the herbivore's neck in an effort to help keep her balance and end the struggle.

"I still remember it...like if it was yesterday...probably because I told a friend about it yesterday...what ever" Aircrest began with a snort. "I was just minding my own business, not that I had a choice...since I was a loner and what not, when suddenly this megaraptor just appears demanding to help him kill someone! Really, what the hell..." He growled, reflecting back on the day. "Anyway, after a short fight, I ended up blinding the damn thing in one eye. It didnt like that apparently and brought in an entire group after me. Needless to say, I ran. I ran and bumped into the giant T-rex everyone's afraid of"

Lightfoot chuckled the best a Ceratosaur could do, monentaily forgetting his predicament before catching himself."I was simply headin gback over to a kill that's in there, if it pleases you so to know..."

Sylicora was the first of the twins to pause, her head tilting as she swallowed the last remaining bite of liver, yellow eyes trained on their leader. Rhojis' mismatched ones soon followed suit as his head rose up beside her. Neither one of them had really thought much about why exactly their pack was formed, even though Rhojis had been the first one to join. The green raptor was especially intrigued to hear his true motive, since it contrasted sharply with her own motive for leaving her original pack. It was the reason she was here now... After a moment of thought, she hissed slightly tentatively, "You're not alone... I... didn't do well in my last group either... for different reasons..."

Renegade turned his head slightly to look at the raptor that had just spoken.
"Really?" he asked, his eyes widening once more. "May I asssk why?"

"The Pack is open. if you want to become a part of it, we welcome you. if not, we won't hold it against you. if at some point you decide pack life isn't for you, feel free to leave peacefully. this pack is for all our benefits, not just those of a single member" growled Fatalis...

"Despite the fact the kill you undoubtedly speak of is North West of here, and that you've been hanging around listening in since their conversation began? i think not" hissed the voice, for the moment directly above Lightfoot, in the trees...

Hellfire chuckled. "Interesting. I suppose it didn't go very well for the Megaraptor?" he hissed with a smirk...

The stegosaur shook and jerked from side to side, trying to shake the predators off of it, startled at the horrific turn of events, though it's panic was short lived, as Blade finally gave one last vicious thrash, shaking the herbivore's head from side to side, claws ripping into it's neck muscles and pushing against it, working alonside his foot as leverage, a final popping sound being heard, the herbivore suddenly collapsing under it's own weight as the connection between the spine and it's head was severed, though the tail continued to swing for a few moments before finally dropping, the creature's breathing slowly fading, the powerful thumping of the creature's heart ceasing, a look of shock on the creature's face, as it finally breathed it's last breath...

"My name's Fatalis" hissed the Raptor...

"Before we move to that...quick question. who was the Megaraptor planning to kill?" hissed Hellfire...

Lightfoot's eyes widened for a brief monent before he shook it off. So this raptor was smarter than he sounded... no matter. Lightfoot could play the same game he was. "What are you talknig about? I don't know of what your speaking.... my kill is right over there." Lightfoot snarled, both his eyes looking at a dead Pinacosaurus leaning against the side of a building, one that had died of old age last night...

"The giant T-rex, who else?" Aircrest growled. With a shake of his head, he barked "Their deaths were well earned"

"That Pinacosaur has no wounds. there isn't even the smell of blood. it didn't die of an attack" hissed the voice calmly, shooting down another excuse...

Hellfire almost collapsed into hysterics at the revelation. "We live....in a world....voided...of intelligence" he hissed between gasps for air after several moments of outright laughing. the thought of a Megaraptor going up against a Rex at all was amusing. to go up against one that was one and a half times the size of most, was ridiculous...

"There's a reason why it has no damage done to it." Lightfoot growled back. "Pinacosaurs are too heavily armored to kill. I had to wear that one down by tailing it for awhile before it died of old age and exhaustion... I was gonig to eat it yesterday, but then I got called back to where I rest..." Lightfoot was beginning to get abit uneasy around the source of this voice. it knew too much...

"A likely excuse. No predator in the right mind would abandon a meal once it has found it, without being chased off" hissed the rasping voice in the trees. "Any more excuses you want to try? or are you ready to admit you were stalking the Rex and his temporary companions?"...

Selena dropped to the ground and Alira released her hold. The raptor let out a bark of exhilaration. "That...was terrifying," she growled, her eyes glittering. "I've never hunted stegosaur before." Alira said nothing for a minute, her tongue snaking out to lick the blood from her jaws. "It's your kill," she commented to Blade when she was done. "You should eat first."
