"Such ignorance as yours the likes of which i have rarely seen in my many years of life. I was the first of our kind to be brought into this world, by the humans. I was hunting my own food and roaming the island many years before even Thrasher's parents could have been called anything more than whelps. None of the creatures that exist on the island, in our home land or here, even come close to rivalling my age....save for one" hissed Ripper, eyes narrowing. striding slightly to the side, the Raptor flexed his claws, watching the Ceratosaur...

"So what, that's your way of saying i'm angry? I expected something more....explosive" hissed Fatalis with a smirk, licking the Spinosaur's blood off one of his claws. "Hm.....tasty...i wonder if i could kill you instead of toy with you...would make a good meal for my friends" he growled...

Hellfire chuckled. "I don't get many interesting things happen to me. I dunno why not, considering how many idiots live around us. maybe it's just i'm too scary for my own sake. or maybe i'm just so utterly brilliant that less intelligent creatures can't get close" he growled with a smirk...

"Maybe you should...be more available" Aircrest replied. "Just go where the wind blows...I guess its easy for me, considering Im Aircrest" after all" The raptor barked. "Surely, you'd find something to look back on and laugh..in time"

Bloodsail bared his teeth in a snarl, but still didn't move. He figured that, as long, as he didn't move for the carcass, the raptor wouldn't dare try and attack him. He could easily wait him out...

Fatalis chuckled. "Always knew Spinosaurs were cowards, but really, this takes the kill. you won't even come after a tiny Raptor?" he growled with a smirk, slowly circling the Spinosaur in the direction of the kill...

"Eh. maybe" hissed Hellfire as he walked...

Unfazed, Bloodsail slowly turned, his gaze never leaving the raptor...

Finally, the two broke out of the long grass, appearing in the under brush, the interlocking branches of the giant trees surrounding them blocking most of the morning light. Just beyond this boarder of trees was where Central Park ended, but the over growth continued on into the world of man, before stopping, revealing ruins and patches of forested areas, flooded out...

Renegade stepped forward, in between the two raptors, and jumped up, his feet perched on the windowsill. He leaned on the left edge of the window, still giving the others a clear view of the fight... or what was earlier a fight. The two simply seemed to be standing there, each waiting for the other to make a move. The orange, striped raptor let out a low, sibilant hiss...

Fatalis suddenly bolted, leaping right onto the kill and springing from that and into a tree moving through the branches and landing not far from Bloodsail, before rapidly circling around the Spinosaur, breaking off as he went past it's flank and zipping in under it's tail, between the legs, slashing the legs as he went, and dashing out to the side, a hissing chuckle coming from him...

Hellfire watched the surrounding area with interest, his eyes scanning the landscape, haulting on a peculiar sight... three long necked birds, one covered in black feathers around the torso and the other two covered in brown feathers. Hellfire glanced at Aircrest, then back at the birds. "...That's new...." he hissed, lost for words...

"And whom would that be?" Lightfoot snarled, now curious about this strange, ancient raptor. From what he knew, no raptor should be een HALF as old as Ripper, yet this guy's been around for more that 50 wet seasons and dry seasons (50 years in Ceratosaur dialect). Lightfoot was also curious as to how such an dried old lizard could still be alive...

Renagade glanced back at the other raptors for a moment, before shifting his attention back to the fighting pair.
"What I want to know... isss it really worth this trouble for a corpse that'sss almossst bonesss anyway...?" he hissed, his eyes still locked onto the fight scene...

Selena stepped back first, licking blood from her muzzle. "So where were you planning to go from here, Blade?" she growled, scraping her teeth along one claw to get rid of a bit of meat that had stuck there during her attack.

"Ya, Ive noticed them too while running through the trees" Aircrest growled. "They keep making weird noises...like a growl...only...less threatening" The raptor commented, after hearing the calls of the birds, which was unlike anything else he's heard. "Ive also seen strange groups of animals...four legs... skin covered with...for lack of a better term, colorful grass" He hissed, trying to describe pelts, without any thing to compare against... there werent much furred creatures still on Sorna...

Two pairs of eyes widened at the series of moves they had unblinkingly watched. "Maybe as you said, this isn't just for the kill..." she hissed, glancing at Rhojis. "There is still some on it though, and he hasn't really eaten much yet. It would be much easier to just eat what's left instead of having to hunt down something else for himself..." he hissed with a light shrug...

"A monster...a massive black beast larger than any other predator in the island's history...one of the first victims of the humans' monsterous constructions. It could only be described as a cross between several creatures. It is not a Rex, nor a Giga, nor a Raptor, nor an Ankylosaur, and yet it carries features of all of them, and more. I could only guess it is several months younger than myself....It was one of the first to claim human lives" hissed Ripper. his eyes narrowed. "It should conscern you that you gloat of your 'guardian's abilities when you don't even know what it is you're comparing them to. it could get him killed if, for example, the Rex overheard" warned the elder. "The Rex DID overhear" rumbled a voice behind Lightfoot, Crusher having been drawn from his discussion with Darkness by the noise. "And 'The Rex' wants to see just how formidable your Spinosaur friend is, Ceratosaur. he's certainly proven he is a coward....far moreso than any Spinosaur i have crossed paths with in the past. an embarassment to all it's kind, though there are very few of which they can be proud. as for his claim that he could rip Thrasher's head off....let Thrasher's killer be the judge of that" added Crusher, eyes narrowed...

"No idea. roam, i suppose. it's not like i have a set territory. so i guess i just go where the wind blows and see where i end up. though going around alone has really been dull....no friends to spend time with like the old days..." growled Blade, trailing off at the end as he thought about his situation, pulling himself from his thoughts before he strayed too far...

Lightfoot's legs began to wobble, the Ceratosaur having realized that the jig was up. Sure, he could take on the old mummy, but not a bull T--rex in it's prime. "T-t-the spinosaurus will not c-c-challenge you, Crusher. H-h-he's heard of your reputation as a Spino killer. Now, S-s-Spike COULD rip Thrasher's head off, but fight against YOU? No way!" With that, Lightfoot broke out into a full fledged sprint as fast as his legs ould carry him, back toward where Spike was, said Spinosaur busy trying to nudge Goldeye awake, but to no avail...

"I'll stick around, if you like," Selena offered. "Exploring alone is kind of boring." She couldn't help glancing at Alira, who carefully avoided looking at either of them as she swallowed a last bite and moved away to give Blade room. The darker-colored allosaur wasn't sure she would be comfortable in a group after getting used to being alone.

"Now, the true question: What did it run from, Crusher, or one of Ripper's stories?" Darkness growled, trotting over to the two, eying the Ceratosaur as it fled.

"It appears we will never know" hissed Ripper, Crusher chuckling lowly. "I bet i could chase him down" he growled. "Honestly think you'll get a fight out of them? they'll just scatter, like insects from the sun" growled the Elder. "True" grunted Crusher...

"I could use the company. Alira, what about you?" growled Blade as he moved forward to eat, taking a bite out of the Stegosaur's flank...

"Did you say 'Ripper' or am I hearing things?" Switchblade came up alongside the others, though still keeping some distance from Darkness, also glancing at the retreating Ceratosaur briefly before her gaze fell on the elder raptor. "I can't believe it... What were the chances?"

Renegade nodded.
"Aye... but at thisss rate, Fatalisss will expend as much energy on the fight as if he were to make a fresh kill, if not more..."
He was puzzled by their logic, but didn't care enough one way or another to make anything of it...
