"You know it wasn't your brother i was worried about" growled Blade as he walked. "It was how you felt about it" he added...

Crusher's eyes narrowed, lifting his head up as the Spinosaur lunged, letting it's head pass under him, before slamming his head down on top of it, the full weight of the Rex's massive skull coming down on it like a hammer, stunning it, before stepping back and swinging his head sideways into it, knocking it back once more...

Spike lay still for a few moments, almost as if dead, only to struggle onto his legs, the spino being a boody mess, blood trickled out of one of the Spinosaur's nostrils, Spike no longer havin gthe energy or the willpower to fight. Dangit. He knew that, if he tried another attack, he'd be slaughtered. "You win, Crusher. You are truly a beast to fear and respect..." Spike snarled at the Rex, still trying to sound as respectful as he could to the winner of the brief, yet one-sided conflict. He had only managed to land one hit on Crusher...

"As I said before, I was grateful," Alira growled, ducking a low branch. "Once I got the chance to think about it, I realized everything I just explained. He truly was a monster."

Crusher snarled as he eyed the Spinosaur. "Consider this a warning, Spike. Regardless of how powerful you are, there is always someone stronger. Regardless of what you may know, you will never know all. If you wish to live, do so modestly. Otherwise your pride will be your downfall" the Rex rumbled as he kept his eyes locked on the predator, daring not to take his eyes off him, even for a second. Very few were more qualified to speak of the subject than he was...for he was the witness of numerous defeats, in his enemies. Thrasher was merely one example...

Blade nodded. he was pleased that his worries had been groundless, but thoughts still grasped at him from the back of his mind. he shrugged it off thoughm thinking instead, of the future. "Do either of you think we'll ever see home again?" he growled...

"In all honesty...no," Selena growled, something like sadness in her words. "I think we might be stuck here. But I've been wrong before," she added to take some of the gloom out of her answer. Alira sighed. "I hope we will," she murmured. "But...I don't know if it'd be likely."

Disappointed that Spike hadn't been killed, Bloodsail snorted and walked away, muttering to himself, "Live modestly. Heh, look who's talking..."

The compy narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Yeah, right. That's what they all say..."

Crusher glanced at the other Spinosaur, his anger not yet fully vented over its timely appearance, his toying with Spike having been less than satisfying. the actions it had taken during the ordeal further boulstered his opinion of it as Spike's ally rather than enemy. he was barely restraining the urge to give it the same treatment Spike had recieved, the blood soaked jaws eager to rip into the flesh of another enemy, though Crusher controlled the feeling. it had witnessed what had happened to it's friend. if it dared to challenge him or threaten the security of his family, he would make sure it was left with a permenent reminder of the price of arrogance...

Blade sighed. "I suppose you're right....still, one can dream, hm?" he growled...

Shredder too began to back off, as Spike was about to have a direct run in with him, which neither dinosaur wanted at this point...

Renegade chuckled again, hissing "I jussst went through thisss sssituation, so I'll mirror Fatalisss' wordsss... why would I kill you? I have no need for blood. Why are you alone here anyway? You should have a bunch of annoying Compiessss with you sssnapping at everything that movesss..."

At the word "annoying," the compy bristled, chirping back hotly, "Dragonfly is NOT annoying! And for your information, I don't hang around others of my kind unless they find food first. Razorwing's the only buddy I need."

The raptor nodded with a small smile. "Right," she agreed. "Better to have hope, however faint, than to weaken your will to go on with certainty that we'll never go back."

Spike lumbered through the park's forest, the Spinosaur's blood dripping inconsistantly as the massive beast moved on. Had he been a less forgiveful Spino, he would have ripped Lightfoot apart. But, being as he is, The Spino decided to forgive the ceratosaur before even making it to where Lightfoot and Goldeye lay. Sure, he had been the whole cause of this mess, but Lightfoot pobably now knew to not blow their favorite"Hero" uot of proportion...

The orange striped raptor's eyes widened. He reared up to full height. "Isss that right, my little friend? Well jussst make sure when I come back here I don't find one hundred of you guysss chomping down on the remnantsss of this thing," he hissed, glancing at the corpse, before walking off toward the human cave where his new pack was...

Dragonfly stuck his tongue out silently at Renegade when he turned his back. A voice in the trees above chirped, "Nice going, Dragonfly! Now the rest of them will come back too!" Dragonly glared up at the treetops. "Well if you're so annoyed with my methods, why don't you try?"

The further Switchblade walked, the more scents she started to pick up on the wind, none of them smelling anything like a Liliensternus, but a few of them recognizable. With an unpleasant jolt, she realized where she'd encountered two of them recently... they were the Ceratosaurs that had been with the Spinosaur who'd chased her into the office building and nearly made her eardrums burst. The Lili faltered, knowing that, from the direction the wind seemed to be blowing, and the growing intensity of the scents, she was heading more or less toward them. If there was one thing she didn't need right now, it was to run into their sail-backed friend again. Wondering if she should change course and search elsewhere, she turned to walk along the back of a red brick building, then turned again into a narrow alley, coming to the end and stopping, peering around cautiously to make sure the coast was in fact clear, all the while thinking about where else she could search if she had to abandon this area...

The gray raptor gave a single nod. "Ah. Guess we should let him be then...Wait till he comes back himself..."

At the other end ofthe alley that Switchy looked down, Lightfoot looked down right at Switchy, the Ceratosaur eyed the Lily, then began to move down the alley, only for Goldeye to tug him back. "Right now, what we need is some shelter, not a snack." Goldeye snarled as she took the lead, heading toward a tall, triangular shaped building, Lightfoot growled at Switchy before following Goldeye...

Spike emerged from the forest, the Spino having followed Lightfoot's scent. He was near... very near. Letting out a hopfully dinosaurian sigh, the Spino continued onwad towrd his goal...

Switchblade's head whipped around and she let out a startled hiss, her whole body tensing instantly. Seeing that the Ceratosaurs were moving off and having caught most of what the female said, her eyes narrowed and she hissed bitterly under her breath, "Snack? Never been called that before..." Not daring to let herself become preoccupied with them however, her thoughts immediately turned to the Spinosaur who was most likely nearby. Gaze sweeping across the other side of the street, she found the most foliage-packed alley in sight, checked behind her again, and shot off across the road, slowing down at the last second before diving into the greenery and once again poking her head out to see if she was alone...

Spike lumbered rightpast the spot Switchy was in, the Spinosaur's wounds caused the beast to cringe in pain, the Spino sniffed the air. Yes, he could smell the scent of Lightfoot and Goldeye. THey were in this area. Another scent, the smell of Switchy, entered into Spike's bloody nostrils, the Spino shook i away, only concentrating on reaching the Ceratosaurs, the massive Spino lumbered off, followng the scent toward the large triangular building...

Blade nodded, walking onwards, wondering what the future would have in store for them...

Fatalis nodded in agreement. he didn't want to rush Renegade into deciding whether to join them or stay alone...otherwise he was at risk of building discomfort in the Raptor's mind...

Crusher snarled once the two Spinosaurs had gone, twin jets of vapour coming from the predator's nostrils, as he turned away, heading back to his original route to continue his exploration of this strange new world...
