"Steady, Nightclaw," Robinflight meowed, rising to his full height and padding into full view, his tail flicking from side to side. "No one has to go anywhere. I'm glad I followed you - this is an interesting situation." The deputy glanced from Nightclaw and Hawkclaw to Insolitus to the new rogue. "It's interesting that this rogue managed to get so far into our territory without being spotted. And it's interesting he turned up when you two were alone with Insolitus." The loner tensed, wondering if he was to be blamed by a third Clan cat for this. Robinflight went on, cocking his head, "You make good points, Nightclaw, but let's not jump to conclusions. While it's true Insolitus hasn't given us much reason to trust him, he hasn't given us a reason to believe he's out to murder anyone either."

Nightclaw nodded, deciding not to argue with the Deputy. he had already learned that lesson from his father and the incident with Mudswirl and Riverstone...


Wraith chuckled. "Let's just hope he doesn't get ahead of himself. I'm not sure Hawkclaw even notices it yet...Nightclaw has a way of being subtle and extreme at the same time" he growled with a chuckle. his son's antics amused him despite the seriousness of his current situation...

[Hopeflower]

"I think you should go and let your father know what's going on, Nightclaw," Robinflight mewed. "I don't think we'll need backup - I can't smell any more rogues - but it's probably best to let him know what's going on. I'll send Insolitus for help if we do end up needing it." Insolitus pricked his ears in surprise, but didn't question it.

[The Kingpin]

Nightclaw nodded, giving both the Deputy and Hawkclaw an uncertain look, before bolting off towards the camp...he needed to let his father know...

"Now we wait," Robinflight mewed, sitting. Hawkclaw gave Insolitus and the deputy doubtful looks, but sat down as well. She couldn't help shooting scorching glances at the rogue every once in a while.

[Shade]

Shadelight chuckled as well. "And that's where your traits come in," she purred and before he could respond she got up and started to walk away with a smirk on her face.

[The Kingpin]

Wraith raised an eyebrow, curious as to what she meant by that, but didn't get a chance as he spotted something black tearing through the camp entrance and skidding to a hault in front of him, Nightclaw panting, tired from the trip. "Rogue...in our territory...asking for you....could be a threat" he snarled between breaths. Wraith nodded. "Lead on. Snowstar! Need a paw with a little intruder issue. Coldeyes! Keep watch over the Camp until we return!" he snarled as Nightclaw bolted back out of the camp, the Leader in hot pursuit...

The white tom poked his head out of the den, ear twitching in Wraith's direction. He looked over to Coldeyes, exchanging nods with his deputy near the center of the camp before bolting after his partner. He couldnt help thinking that this rogue issue would try his great amount of patience...

[Shade]

Shadelight stopped for a second to hear what Nightclaw would say then shook her head. "Oh dear, what could possibly go wrong now?" she mewed. She kept walking away, whatever this problem was, it had nothing to do with her. She trotted back into camp, now noticing that Stormheart had come back from hunting with a plump mouse in his mouth. Sunclaw was still washing herself, but she paused for a minute to look at Shadelight and Stormheart then returned to her work with a yawn.

It wasn't long before Nightclaw arrived at the scene, Shadowsoul close behind, walking towards the cats ahead calmly, the tom's stance alone enough to determine he was a Leader, the tom looking around, eying Adderfang, then Insolitus. "Care to fill us in, Robinflight?" he growled, reffering to the white tom following close behind, as Nightclaw took his place next to Hawkclaw once more, falling silent to let the seniors take over the situation...

Snowstar walked to Wraith's side, looking to everyone with a cool even gaze. His eyes fixed on his daughter, and he sighed inwardly. Why did his daughter have to be involved in situations like these. If this really was a rogue trying to ambush clan cats, then he should count himself lucky he didnt lay a paw on his daughter, or the others....

Hawkclaw cringed inwardly as she met her father's eyes. Robinflight quickly explained the situation, starting with how Insolitus had been teaching Hawkclaw and Nightclaw how to climb trees quickly and quietly, and ending with the rogue's appearance on the scene. "As I said to Nightclaw, I don't think Insolitus led them into an ambush, however strange the rogue showing up here was," the deputy finished. "At least, he seemed as surprised as these two to see this cat."

"yes," Auburnpelt meowed, remembering how difficult it was to survive outside of a Clan at the moment. "I do...there's so much violence out there now, Thunderheart. So many cats are dying and getting injured."

"Its bold enough that rogues bypass the scent markers. Its idiotic it didnt head for the clan, but instead seeked out a secluded group." Snowstar growled, eyes locked on the stranger. "I dont think Insolitus meant for this to happen...but this rogue had an agenda for seeking you cats out.."

AdderFang glared at robinflight and looked at the black, long haired tabby cat who was appearently the leader and then reapeted his message " I would like to join your clan along with my mate who is very close to kitting and my son" he then called over his shoulder and his mate honey a brown tabby with black stripes and son Flame a black tom with brown stripes amerged from the bracken, honey's stomach was large and swollen and she walked slowly

Shadowsoul glanced at the newcomer, notign the glare he shot at Robinflight, considering the words of his Deputy and partner, considering the explanation he was given. his piercing gaze fell on the rogue, drifting between him and his family, the black bengal tom finally growling "Before you even CONSIDER asking for the right to join the clan i'd suggest you consider your situation...Have you anything to say for yourself, rogue?"...

Snowstar shook his head. "In the time you could be tending to your mate, making a nest for her, gathering herbs...you make the trip across the entire forest...just come here, to a group of warriors...instead of going straight to the clan?" He mewed. "Have you any idea how foolish that was?!" He growled, as if he couldnt believe the matter at paw...

Robinflight resisted the strong urge to roll his eyes at the rogue. "You're...not the brightest, are you?" he mewed, hearing a cough from Hawkclaw that sounded suspiciously like idiot.

Shadowsoul's eyes narrowed, skeptical."If you were wiser, youd've at least stayed at the clan border with your family and waited for a patrol, and ask THEM to inform us...instead of invading our territory, approaching a small group of cats inside and leaving the clan camp" he growled. "As it stands, I have no reason to believe those are your mate and son. they could just as easily be other members of a group of rogues planning to get spies into our territory to help them attack" he explained as he turned, circling the trio, watching them, as if studying them for something...

Shadelight trotted after the scent of Wraith, suddenly deciding that she should have gone to see if she could tend to the rogue if he ended up being friendly. She heard gruff voices and she stopped to listen to the conversation. Indeed, the rogue looked like he was in great distress. She narrowed her eyes at Hawkclaw's cough, but kept herself pressed down in the brush.
