"You heard our decision. Snowstar and I had already decided on what to do about it even before you spoke. You need to remember that there are always enemies willing to use our Code against us if need be. You remember the incident with the Rogues of Bloodclan and Demontalon. they almost turned her against her own clan" growled Wraith. "That rogue's 'mate' and 'son' could just as easily have been parts of seperate familys in a group of Rogues...remember that Bloodclan's remnants lived here...they could easily be the origin of these three...sending them in and using them to get our sympathy, and then stabbing us in the back when we least expect it" he explained as he walked over to the lakeshore, taking several mouthfuls of the water, wetting his dry throat before turning to face Shadelight again...

Robinflight chuckled softly, amused despite the situation as he nodded and made his way to Snowstar's deputy. Hawkclaw touched her nose to Snowstar's ear before turning to she she-cat and meowing, "Come on." Though the words might be taken as almost friendly, her tone was anything but. She started for the nursery, her skin crawling at the thought that these rogues were seeing the heart of StormClan's territory.

Shadelight narrowed her eyes at her mate. "I don't recall you ever being this paranoid, Wraith," she said. "However, I can see that perspective." She started to lick her chest before she went on. "But again, what I saw from him didn't seem like an act," she continued. "When I left Riverclan I swore to help anyone, clan or no clan, and though my duties are now soully tied to Stormclan, I haven't forgotten what it was like to be treated like an enemy, especially when I was in trouble," she mewed. "And if I recall Wraith, you've had your share of misjudgements as well."

Wraith nodded, silent for several moments at his mate's words. "I haven't forgotten, Shadelight. i haven't forgotten. your caring nature is one among countless other reasons i love you" he growled with a faint smile, the smile fading not long afterwards as the weight of his position sobered his thoughts. "Perhaps I am more paranoid than i was in the past....but perhaps that's because we have more to lose if i make a dangerous mistake now, than ever before" he meowed as he stood, circling around, sitting next to his mate. "I fear for our clan's safety, Shadelight. I have thusfar welcomed those i've seen as trustworthy. former clan cats that i know have a reputation for standing by their word. ones i know would never betray us in such times as these. The only reason i sent Firestreak on a trial was because i worried he may try using our trust of him and his past as Thunderclan's deputy to get close enough to hurt the clan, if he really did loathe the Clan's state now. Such an intelligent Cat would easily be capable of something like that given the right motivation. These cats however, i know nothing of. i have no proof they are trustworthy. and the fact that Bloodclan could likely have been reformed again in the chaos of the past moons quite honestly scares me. it took the strength of all the clans at the height of their strength just to fight Bloodclan off. the second Bloodclan drove us out. they collapsed afterwards, but that doesn't mean it couldn't've been reformed" he explained honestly. "Consider that for a moment.....can i really afford to make decisions so easily, without considering them critically first, with a danger like that possibly looming?" he said finally...

"No, you can't," Shadowstar's quiet voice meowed. The former ThunderClan leader's faint outline was just visible, but her dark green eyes burned intensely. "Shadelight." The smoky gray and black tabby padded forward until light struck her pelt. "You follow your heart, which makes you a strong cat. Your compassion for others was what made you such a good medicine cat. But in times like these, it is better to use your head to make decisions. Rogues are becoming more aggressive with each passing moon. Cats are getting injured - dying even. StormClan, while strong where numbers are concerned, is still a young Clan. It is vulnerable, but that will disappear with time." Shadowstar flicked her tail. "It's no time for taking in strangers, given the situation. I understand that it's because you were a medicine cat that you want to care for every cat. But you must trust that Shadowsoul and Snowstar know what they're doing. The Clan has been trusted to them - these decisions rest in their paws."

Shadelight sighed and thought about their words. "Yes, I understand, you're a leader now, a very strong and wise leader," she said. "And I also understand your worries about Bloodclan, I've considered it as well." She looked into Wraith's eyes then to Shadowstar and sighed again. "I understand your tension, but those cats looked like they needed help, but I am sorry I jumped to my own conclusion about them before thinking about the consequences."

Wraith smiled at Shadelight's words. "I won't blame you for speaking your mind, Shadelight. I never expected you to keep your opinions hidden. i understand your motivation for it perfectly. but it undermines our credibility in the eyes of others if other clan members speak out when they haven't even heard what the Leaders have decided. that makes outsiders think we're weak, and that just gives potential enemies even more incentive to try and attack" growled Wraith, lowering his head...

Shadowstar reached out to press her nose briefly to Shadelight's head. "Your heart cries out when you see someone in distress," she mewed gently. "You can't help that...it's part of who you are. One day your courage in doing what you think is right may bring your Clan closer together. It may even help another Clan in need." The tabby smiled. "But for now, let your leaders do their job."

Shadelight lowered her head and nodded. "I understand," she said to both of them. "So what now?"

Wraith smiled. "Now, we go back to whatever we want" he meowed. glancing at the Starclan cat, Wraith nodded in gratitude. "Thank you for visiting us, Shadowstar. I appreciate your opinion on things...could you give our bretheren in Starclan our regards?" he growled...

Shadowstar dipped her head. "Of course," she mewed as her form faded.

Shadelight smiled and nodded at Snowstar as she faded. "Alright, let's see if our visitors have caused a riot by now," she said standing and shaking off loose grass.

Wraith chuckled. "Back to camp already?" he growled. "My my you are a hasty one, aren't you?" he added, licking Shadelight behind the ear as he stood...

Shadelight purred in amusement. "Unless you have other ideas," she purred and flicked his ear with her tail.

"Maybe i do" growled Wraith with a smirk as he casually knocked Shadelight over, pinning her down and proceeding to groom her. "I'd've thought you'd be itching to get out of the camp even if only for a llittle stroll around the territory" he added as he held onto Shadelight's head, giving her several brisk licks between the ears...

Shadelight mewed and growled in protest at his grooming. She struggled under him. "Perhaps," she said. "Unless you plan on giving me an involuntary bath!"

"But it's just so fun listening to you grumble" growled Wraith with a chuckle. "But if you insist" he growled with a smirk before letting go, giving Shadelight back her mobility...

Shadelight grumbled as she stood back up and took a bat at Wraith's face her claws sheathed. "You overgrown fu ball," she teased.

Honey was quite surprised at the clan cat's hospatality and she was grateful to sink into a nest of moss with a contented sigh

Flame stayed at his fathers side his claw out as they were ascourted to nests he laid down next to his father and tried to ignore the hunger pangs in his stomach

"Maybe i am....but don't you just love me for it?" growled Wraith with a smirk as he fluffed his fur as he crouched, looking quite literally like a furball...

Nightclaw watched the newcomers warily. he was uncomfortable with them beingi n the clan, and he was even more discomforted by the fact his parents were conflicted over it...he just hoped it wasn't anything serious...they still weren't back. deciding he needed to get it off his mind, he walked over to Robinflight. "Do you need me to watch them or can i head off?" he meowed...
