several hours later, Drake got up, stretching, several soft cracks being heard as his stiff joints loosened. he looked down at Nyx, who was still asleep, giving her a light kiss on the forehead before pulling the blankets back over her, heading into the shower, rushing through it, getting out 10 minutes later and getting dressed, putting on the form fitting body armour Brimstone had given him during the Mosrek incident, putting a black auit on top, a black shirt and red tie complimenting the outfit.raising a hand in front of his face, he tested his arm blade mechanism, the blade sliding out with a metalic scrape before clicking as it locked, a grip swinging up into Drake's hand to give him firmer control of the weapon. the edges of the blade split slightly, a smaller, even sharper internal blade edges sliding out, the edges closing and sealing themselves on them like a barber's razorblade, becoming seemless, the blade looking like it should be too large to fit in the sleeve. the long cerved blade gave a menacing glint as he twisted it to catch the light, Drake's eyes refocusing from the blade's metal to catch his eyes' reflection in it, the ice blue eyes staring coldly into it, momenterally glinting red, gaining almost cat-like slitted pupils before fading back. he cringed as he lowered the blade, letting go of the grip, the blade's edges sliding back in as the weapon slid back under his sleeve, the man putting his hands on the edges of the sink, washing his face and drying up, before leaving the bathroom, sitting in a corner chair watching Nyx rest silently, smiling...
A low chuckle seemed to echo in the darkness of Diana's mind, a low, gravelly voice saying "That's right, Diana...sleep....the world as you know it will soon cease to exist...and then....you won't DARE to let your eyes close....even for a second". the chuckling voice faded as the image of Desh, lying in a pool of his own blood, his heart torn out, flashed in her mind, before everything went silent...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
